I was just going through all of my favourites, and found this. Now I remember why I added this to that list. I enjoyed watching this. I wonder if this is based on a true story.
yeah, this is alright actually. i was pretty gripped from the opening narration. is this going to be made into a full length feature? i mean, there was just the right amount for a short. well edited and all that. but, once it finished, it got me to thinking, i could watch a full length feature of this movie. well done.
@ebonlylips24 Thanks! No plans to make it into a feature at the moment. It's something we've discussed a few times in the past but haven't yet settled on a story that sustains over 90mins. Watch this space though.
I recently finally caught Christopher Nolan's 'Following' and felt that there were some similarities in tone - you might want to check that out if you've not already seen it.
Been back to this for a replay many a time. It's an excellent film. The direction is brisk and serves the story throughout. But that's not surprising given such a strong screenplay. There's no weak segments, all cut quickly and fluidly. Superb.
I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who have taken the time to watch, vote for, and comment on, my film. It's really very much appreciated! Thanks!
"setting up fucking franchises" Tyler Durden.. reminded me alot of Fight Club for some reason. amazing style, I never thought pickpocketing could be so entertaining. amazing job once again.
One should look back on student work and cringe. This is a rare exception. It oozes style from beginning to end. Style over substance, perhaps? Hey, for an art student that's allowed. (FYI the references to crime and business practices are clichéd. The central theme of a gang of young, middle class, white pickpocketers is not THAT plausible). Great contributions from friends on this project. You could tell they had fun and believed they were well motivated. Worth a re-play, any day.
it's been a long time since i've seen this but it really stands up. great film. as spagmaster has mentioned, lots of locations adds so much, and the acting is good throughout. remeber your student films The Lonely Crowd and Drift. this is a lot better. lets make another
i love the whole concept of this film! the narrative effect is really well done. extremely clever and interesting storyline. it is so cool how the countenance of the lead character changes as soon as he becomes the "victim". love everything about this one!
Enjoyed seeing that again (apart from the obvious nostalgia trip), some great acting from Pat - he may well have missed his calling. And the sheer number of locations you caught on film really helps add some extra character to the piece. Loving the homoerotic undertones too (lead character gets no satisfaction from penetrating the ladies 'pocket' in the street, yet finds his 'people' once he is in turn violated by a man)...Interesting stuff.
saw this video 5 years ago...couldn't remember it's title. nice to find it back :)

Really interesting film - well shot and cut on an obviously limited budget. A lot of style.
