Great 80's band. Great original music and awesome stage show. Opened for these guys a few times in Milwaukee. Mark is one of the nicest guys you will meet...and can you beat the hair! Reuninon show!!!!!
Rumor has it... After Warp Drive's second CD ( "Something To Believe In") comes out through AOR BLVD Records, Mark Woerpel maybe making a Milwaukee appearance with a new band.
Warp Drives long shelved 2nd CD called "Something To Believe In" will be out this summer via AOR Boulevard Records along with a newly recorded bonus track. Keep an eye out for it
This so ROCKS ~ one of the few bands that had great original music in the 80's that played the east coast club circuit. Check out their song original song "I for You".
I remember Mark W from a band named Moxy Roxx from the early 80's. They came through Omaha and the band stayed at my house...Wonder where he's at now...
met mark at a bar in rockford il. still have the cassette that the band all signed. even have a poster but its not in good shape, even a pick or two. the milwaukee and madison music scene was a fun time back then. miss those times. bands these days for the most part just arent as cool and i play drums and we arent half this cool
I loved this band back in very early 90's. I saw them so many times at Charley Magruders here in Atl. Hung out with them a couple of times. Those days were so much fun...I miss all that hair of the 80's.
Ah, memories. Vinne was such a great drummer...loved watching him play. I miss that. It's still so strange to see him as a front man, even after all these years. But hey, Sponge rox too! Miss all you guys!
Just to add, The 2nd UNRELEASED Warp Drive CD titled Something To Believe In is now available via Download on Amazon, Napster, Rhapsody and iTunes. I HIGHLY recommend it. If you liked this Bang The Drum video and the first Warp Drive CD Gimme Gimme from 1989, then you'll LOVE "Something To Believe In". It was recorded in 1991-1992 and never released until NOW!!!
OMG! SUCH a better video, lol. Thanks for posting! I was so excited way back when to find Mark on here. Knew him when he was with Blackfoot though...I will definitely check out the 2nd cd...thanks for the info! :)
