  • Ashford and Simpson

  • I remeber when this came out. I kept wanting and wanting this cereal. Worst part was: my Grandmother would refer to orange juice as "OJ." So of course, I'd get my hopes up every single time she said it, and then my hopes would be shattered when I just got the glass of juice.

  • If you let the cereal and milk sit in the bowl for a while and then mix it up, you'll have one darn good smoothie.

  • I miss this cereal and NOBODY believes me when I tell them about it.

  • that takes me back. I had told somebody about this cereal and they didn't believe me that it ever existed. Thank you for the smokoing gun, YT!

  • HOLY FUCK I REMEMBER THIS NOW.

  • I remember these commercials, but OJ's were unavailable here in Canada.

  • I liked this cereal too.

  • I def remember this cereal, I would always fix me a big bowl of it & couldnt get enough of it cause it was so good. Man how the days of good eating are gone. This is something that should definitely be brought back on the market

  • Dem shits waz gooder den a mf...lol.....

  • Hmmm...I'm not sure what this would be like... Of course, we DO have Apple Jacks, which turned out to be a genius idea! But, if OJ cereal is supposed to taste like orange juice, with the milk?, we have a problem...

  • @xOneWayStudiosx The milky/citrus combo of orange creamsicle works well.

  • This cereal was fkn good!

  • Probably like Froot Loops, except it's all orange-flavored. Yuuuuck. >_<

  • @loneshewolf74 Girl, that sounds delicious. Get outta here.

  • OJ's was textured like Froot Loops. They're both rice cereals. Tiny balls like General Mills' Trix and Kix.

  • you knkow us kids from the 80's ate alot of crap

  • @cappsoutlaw Yeah it's a wonder we're not all dead now :)

  • dAMN i MISS BEING A KID IN THE 80'S

  • Doing a Google search, I found a number of web sites that mentioned this cereal ... including this blog: ww w . inthe80s . co m/cereal/ojcereal0.shtmlc (take out the spaces).

  • Basically citrus and dairy .....yum!

  • i bet that shit tasted good

  • this cereal will kill you and leave a shit load of evidence behind but it will get away with it.. watch yo back white gurl.

  • OJ's Cereal? What if they had a cereal about OJ Simpson? What would that be like? "Try new OJ Crunch cereal! Little crunchy O's and J's, with marshmallows shaped like bloody gloves and white Ford Broncos! ...And, in specially marked boxes, a hunting knife, perfect for murdering!"

  • You're not the only person who incorporated football great O.J. Simpson into this product. Too bad Simpson himself never endorsed it. This goes back 25 years.

  • i remember this commercial and i ate this cereal an orangy taste

  • By the sound of that voise this looks like were the king of town from homestar runner got started

  • You know, cowboys aren't the first thing that comes to mind when I think of citrus fruits.

  • @SkyfireTheFox Really! can you imagine oranges growing in Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Montana and New Mexico? LOL. One might have limited success with them in Arizona or California, but still, cowboy's & citrus fruits? Who's idea was that?! Also, Mr. OJ was having to round up a wild heard of oranges! ...and brand them as if they were cattle! All while riding one like a horse!

  • lol lol

  • I rremember that stuff. it was like Kix with the flavor of Tang

  • fail

  • fail

  • @manofiorn #fail

  • I had this cereal when I was a kid.... I bought one box and that was it..

    Taste like ass.

  • to the poster of this video who seems to think he a good grasp of why this cereal is no longer around: THIS STUFF WAS AWESOME!!!

There are only two cereals in my life time that were better than OJ's.... Blueberry Waffle-O's, and Smurf Berry Crunch.

  • @Diskoboy1974 Wow, Smurf Berry Crunch, that cereal was awsome! Tasted great!!It came divided in two, red and blue side. & came with smurf skin tattoos, or buttons. lol. Btw, Oj's Tasted pretty good. Makes me wonder why Smack'em and Apple Jacks are still around.

  • @Diskoboy1974 Wow Smurf Berry Crunch, that was addictive, it came divided in two, red and blue star like puffs. Best oldtime cereal for me. Btw Oj's was preety darn good! Makes me wonder why we still have Smack'em and Apple Jacks.

  • I think I vaugly remember this

  • That cereal was one of the best!

  • GOOD CEREAL!!!

  • I loved this cereal. My husband is going to flip when he sees this- he doesn't remember and thinks I'm crazy too for describing this commercial. So glad to see this on here.

  • Best... cereal... ever.

  • I always wondered if they were saying "keep them mothers rollin'" in the commercial.

  • Did it taste like sherbert?

  • That actually looks like an awesome cereal.

  • Hah, I had this when I was a kid!

  • Hmmm. OJ cereal? hat sounds pretty good... assuming the milk doesn't curdle.

  • He's riding an orange around... LOL. Explain the physics of that shit!

  • i ride pears around

  • @nightmarenarcosis Yeah, shouldn't he be riding a white Ford Bronco and a little darker skinned?

  • I remember begging my mom to buy a box of OJ's when they came out. It was delicious! But, when I went to brush my teeth after breakfast, my toothbrush was stained bright orange!! So my mom threw the box away!

  • If the spoon don't fit you must acquit

  • jcfynx:

    hahaha nice

  • yum

  • I loved this cereal and the ad. :D

  • I loved this cereal when I was a kid! I'm surprised it didn't curdle your milk. lol

  • i loved them too! so i guess there are 4 of us haha. some genius over at the cereal companies should release retro cereal packs with OJs, Smurfberry Crunch, etc. I would definitely partake

  • That guy...he looks like Quake from the old Quisp and Quake commercials. Maybe they're related?

  • they tasted like apple jacks

  • I think I only had these once when I was four. Can't remember waht they taste like. (Obviously they'd tatste like orange) But I loved the commercial.

  • pink panther flakes wuz da bomb son!!!! pink flakes frosted over damn!!!!!i only had oj's once.Rats! tai ur not nuts! yea!!!!

  • I loved these (I guess Tai7978 & I are the only ones. LOL). They were actually good, especially if you like Trix. I remember getting a T-formers or Gobots bicycle reflector in a box of OJs. Gonna sound weird to say this, but I remember when I got them too(January of '86). I know, cause I had been staying w/my grandmother for a few days. She dropped me off at school. I remember bringing the reflector in for show & tell, but no one felt like doing it, cause we saw the Challenger disaster that day.

  • If its an orange juice cereal commercail, souldn't u have orange juice with the cereal instead of milk?

  • Didn't this cereal cause tumors?

  • omg! nobody believed me that these existed! my grandpa used to buy me these before he passed...i must have been 5 and i remember the cowboy riding on the orange! everyone thought i was nuts! yay! i'm not nuts!

  • I know! No one ever believes me, either. I LOVED them. I didn't remember the commercials so much, but OJs and Mr T cereal were my faves for awhile! And now thanks to youtube, I have proof that both existed!

  • like orange froot loops.. so so bad!

  • I remember the cereal, but can't remember what it tastes like. I think my Mom only bought it once or twice.. we usually had Rocky Road, Circus Fun and the basics.. Trix, Golden Grahams, etc.

  • i remeber this cereal it was good

  • I remember this cereal like it was yesterday. awesome stuff.
