  • Oh, if only we could solve all our problems with big business like this.

  • That's the funniest defeat ever!

  • A young Dick Chaney before he became CEO of Haliburton .

  • Well, I guess the Collector's buisness really is down the drain .

  • hmmmm that alien reminds me of somebody..oh yeah the bankers and corporatist that run the US

  • This shit is the bomb lol

  • It's Austin Powers

  • ever since RTD came adn fucked who up. Moffat has been trying to fix it up but since RTD brainwashed his viewers like the dickbrain he is, every one is going mad and saying he sucks. Especially bout the Series 5 finale. Well atleast Moffat tryed something new and for that he should be honured for trying to break that RTD curse.

  • why you evil evil little elf :) lol

  • He got flushed lol.

  • I heart Leela ... Leela is a Punk Rocker ...

  • Ah, a classic example of the Doctor's usually preferred method of dealing with his enemies; knocking over the dominoes and leaving them with no other choice BUT to give up

  • lol why did no one say 'he's been downsized'

  • A commentry for this story has been recorded by Tom Baker Louise Jameson, Michael Keating and Pennant Roberts.

  • My my, companions throwing knives into people's shoulders. If this were the RTD era, we'd get a speech on why knives are bad, in the vein hope it'll stop Chavs from wielding them.

  • Well now, by and large, Tom's Doctor forswore weapons as well. At least where he himself was concerned. But you're right. RTD was quite heavy handed about it.

  • @StormsongK yea like he never used it in the old series so RTD thought. I mean he was good trying to get little violence to solve the problem but he went overkill with it. And when Matt used a gun in that trailer people went apeshit. if only RTD didn't poison Dr who beforehand people would be like COOOOL instead of WTF!!!MDOCTOR isn't suipposed to kill people!!

  • @SnakeOnAPlane

    Jackie! Lol

  • @SnakeOnAPlane finally someone who thinkls the same thing on RTD. he made dr who completely anti violent. i mean the doctor always was but he still had limits to when he fianlly had to use violence. in such cases like when Jon pertwee started boxing with that dude in Carnival of Monsters. Since RTD left and david tennat's anti violent doctor went. the trailer of Matt smith firing a gun (like he never fired a gun in the old series) made people go on with a tantrum. RTD is destroying Dr who.

  • @SnakeOnAPlane surely it would be a drugs warning if it was a "vein" hope...

  • business is business! reminds me of former us vice president dick cheney. whether your invading a non hostile nation based on trumped up and false intelligence, providing inadequate services to US troops through your civilian company, or outing a US spy for political reasons: business is business, right DICK?!

    Dick Cheney: American Traitor

  • Leela used to give me such a boner

  • down the toilet he went..dear

  • And to think: Blake's 7 - The Way Back was still weeks away from transmission, yet this story is as close to B7 as Doctor Who ever got. Tick off all the familiar elements as you go: oppressed humanity, rebel insurrection, Mandrel/Blake, Micheal Keating, a darkly comic Robert Holmes script, factory/chemical plant location filming...

  • and a china man dear..lol..

  • He reminds me of Dr. Evil from Austin Powers movies.

  • Leela - the sexiest Who girl ever. If I ever got hold of her...

  • this whole episode I think was written out of utter contempt of the tax man. One of Robert Holmes best

  • tax man? its kinda looks like trotskyist

propoganda..in the anme of the workers i arrest you? revolution..ba i forgot how silly the 60s and 70s got..

  • Still relevant today.

  • It was 1977, when the British economy was reeling under massive inflation and industrial action.

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the episodes that the doctor lands on earth but everyone is frozen and cant move or talk and then at the end the whole city disapears and leaves a desert with no one left

  • Sounds like you mean The Android Invasion.

  • The Android Invasion is a serial in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who, which was first broadcast in four weekly parts from November 22 to December 13, 1975

  • brilliant episode and i must say tom baker IS the doctor

  • This is not just fiction. It's a mirror on reality. On our society.

  • Rock on Tom, a classic. Doctor Who devotees tend to be rather harsh on this one but it's clearly great fun written by one of the most respected writers the show ever had and featuring a number of satirical gags which people either love or hate :)
