Just to clarify - If Naruto EVER reaches 9 tails , the Kyuubi comes out 100% and it completely takes over Naruto PERMANTLY. I think his limit is 6 tails before life-changing injurys if not death if he gets any farther.

At 4 tails , when he fights Orochimaru , he has NO control over himself and after he is seriously injured and has used of massive amounts of chakra so its not a really good thing for him to use the Kyuubis power often.
