thats realy much food, ok I have underweight, but I think I will get used to raw soon. But my thing is that I need more fat or something to get more weight
@xXFlyleafXx You're welcome! Be sure to check out my other video What I Eat In a Day 80 10 10 Style watch?v=GO1NEUuZriE for exact proportions with nutrient listings which is even more helpful. :0)
@b0ondockz I would say on average it's around $100. Sometimes it's more if it's cherimoya season and sometimes it's less if it's December and there's not a whole lot of fruit options available. This week I would say it's about $85. because I couldn't get any cherimoya.
Wow, so, so much sugar in your diet. Mountains of it. Is that what makes you seem spacey? I was on raw foods for about a year and a half and payed a lot more attention to balancing my food intake...nuts, seeds, raw oils, sprouts, greens, etc.
That's nice that you found what works for your body, mine is different, I eat high veg, med fat, and low sugar, and my body rewards me with health, great job, once you discover what your body requires life is rewarding and awsome
@Canyoudigityesyoucan Sometimes I do have a lovely dressing. :0) When you eat really clean & your taste buds aren't messed up from so many stimulating foods, lettuce can actually taste pretty amazing all by itself. I was very surprised by this after months of eating this way to find lettuce had a very delicious flavor.
@tayaRock all the food she shows that she eats in the video are carbs and the avocados are healthy fats. The only thing I don't see here is much protein. There is a little in some fruits and in the macadamia nuts she mentioned though.
@zelda127 It's white or green sapote. Yes, Whole Foods carries it sometimes, usually for a premium. I think it's $7 - $9 a pound. Barry Koral sells them from his farm in Vista, CA for less and he'll ship them to you. There are other places online that will ship them as well. It's just a matter of finding them. Check Whole Foods first to make sure of the price though. I hope you can find some. :0)
The calories-lie again... guys listen: you DON'T need much calories, 500-600 is enough for one day...I'm not even sure if calories are good anyway.
Well, so any diet that tells you to eat less is a friggn LIE! You NEED to eat much, because your body need to have the energy to burn away the fat. It's just important that you eat the RIGHT things, like shown in the video. I'm just a bit disappointed that leaves weren't such an important thing in the video, as they normally are. GET YOUR LEAVES! :D
thinking of "pale-white-skinny" people is just dumb! you look great! And I can't even tell how old you are, cause there's another one I discovered a few days ago (his name is Markus Rothkranz), who looked sunburnt as well (like you, but a bit too much for me ;-) and not skinny. Great!
@KyHo951 That's a very wise decision because the doctors you describe are going to be the most successful doctors of the future. Many blessings to you for a successful and happy career!
@rawsynergytv FYI Romaine lettuce has like no nutrients, perhaps replace it with another lettuce or leafy green. Unless you love the taste, or you are eating it for the low calories.
@crismartin1982 Actually romaine lettuce has quite a bit of nutrients. It's high in Vitamin A & K, Folate, B vitamins, Manganese, Potassium, omega 3 & amino acids. Don't discount it because it really is a good green. :0)
human don't need so much protein. if you have too much (and not doing sports) the body just drop it out and it's not good for the body, au contraire it'll be contra-productive
@EurekaRecycler That's ok. She eats natural sugars and fruit has a low glycemic index because it conatins so much vitamins, minerals and fibres. Do you think the cave men knew what sugar was? no.. but they ate tons of fruit. Monkeys don't know either and they can't get enough of bananas. It's funny because obesity is only a human being problem. Obesity is caused by refined sugar (=toxic)
The veggie:fruit ratio is WAY off- u should be eating mostly veggies and supplementing with fruit- I commend ur efforts but ur blood glucose levels must be super high!
@KITTENDELISH you really think she just eats fruit for no reason? It's a proven diet that millions of people have found success with. i don't know if you have noticed but there isn't many vegetables that you can eat raw.
@KITTENDELISH That's based on the current medical & nutritional model, a model that unfortunately prefers people remain sick & suppressed. Eating mostly fruit is a way to achieve vibrant health & maintain it. The medical community won't share that with you because they won't be able to make a fortune off you being well. My glucose levels are perfectly balanced, as are the levels of all my friends who eat this way, including the ones with diabetes who've all lowered or axed their medication. :0)
@rawsynergytv As a diabetic I have to caution anyone reading your statement about "including the ones with diabetes who've all lowered or axed their medication. :0)" Diabetics if going raw (which I am) must eat the majority of greens over fruit. SOME fruit is ok like blackberries, blueberries..berries in generl. But I guarentee you if I ate a banana my blood sugar will spike. I love fruit but unfortunatly my cells don't utilize extra sugar I put into my body and fruit is sugar.:(
@akwolfsong Get the fat out girl, enjoy mother nature´s lovely candy, FRUIT, instead! :) The (excess) fat is to blame, seariously, because fruit sugar doesnt do harm by itself, it´s the fat that is keeping the sugar from entering your cells. Always remember that. Eat enough too, dont restrict! :)
@thatfruitarianchick Um..I'm not sure if you read someone elses post about eating fat because I didn't say one word about fat :S I eat very little fat because fat doesn't grow on spinache and kale ect. Fat comes in the form of a few nuts here and there. I said GREENS not beef or avacado or lard. Sugar doesn't need fat to raise blood sugar it does it all on it's own. I would eat fruit all day every day if I could but diabetics can't. DO a glucose test on a diabetic and see.
@akwolfsong There is something wrong with your body then, and it´s not the fruit´s fault. If you would have grown up eating a raw vegan diet of mainly fruits and greens then you would probably not have diabetes. It´s hilarious/sad though when people try to blame things on fruit. You may be really dehydrated, sedentary, underslept or fiber deficient. I dont know for sure which one but I do know you are not meant to eat grass all day and avoid fruit. That wont get you anywhere.
@thatfruitarianchick WOW..you make blanket statement w/o knowing a single thing about me or how I was raised. THat is ignorant. I grew up eating 70%raw in general. My parents were health nuts and installed that in me. Unfortunatley, I got diabetes when I was pregnant and it stuck even with a healthy diet.So..it isn't because I'm sedentary(I'm an athlete with 18.3% body fat, it's not because I eat bad as I am nearly all raw with little nuts and seeds. I drink plenty of water and..cont
@akwolfsong I include low glycemic fruit when I can. You telling diabetics they can eat it willy nilly is dangerous when you obviously know NOTHING about diabetes. RE READ all my posts because for some reason you jumped to conclusions that have NOTHING to do with me but maybe some issues you have personally. I wasnt attacking you I was cautioning diabetics because your information isn't correct when dealing with THIS medical issue. You can truly hurt some poor person out there. Shame.
@akwolfsong Oh and to respond to "There is something wrong with your body then, and it´s not the fruit´s fault."--- Ya think?? I KNOW something is wrong, hence I have diabetes. It is not fruits falt. It's a genetic issue for me. I never said that fruit caused it. BUT when you are diabetic high glycemic fruits are NOT your friend. Low ones are to a point. Please do some research before you tell diabetics sugar is fine. It is our pancreas that can't handle sugars in a normal way like your can.
@akwolfsong If you're interested in healing your body & don't trust my information, I highly recommend watching Dr. Robert Morse ND's videos or even call his office for a consultation. He prescribes the fruit diet to all of his patients (including those with diabetes) & has a major success rate healing people & has been doing so for over 40 years. He's an amazing human being. I wish you much success & vibrant health. :0)
@rawsynergytv Those who conduct research into nutrition and dietetics and publish their findings mostly have no direct connection to treatment in the medical community, neither do they benefit financially from their findings. Although I realise this diet has changed your life for the better, it does not work for everyone. Many people have benefited from traditional medical care and have therefore needed less medical care throughout their life. Medical practioners are not all money hungry.
@jfafa100 Most published research is funded by the very companies who gain from the findings. All medical schools are funded by pharmaceutical companies. And unfortunately, most medical dr.s get zero nutritional training. There are lobby's that are pulling strings in their favor because they have money to gain. The salt lobby had a fit earlier this year when the USDA wanted to lower the sodium content in school lunches. I could go on & on. What may seem like fair research, likely isn't.
@infinitewobdrahpa I don't eat any GMO foods. I buy from farms I know grow their food organically, even if it isn't certified. There are only a couple foods I eat that aren't always organic and that's fair trade bananas and mangoes.
@rawsynergytv how long will it take you to eat the entire meal.Seems like a lot a food in one sitting.you don´t feel heavy after eating? i can´t eat all that much. I read that some folowers of the 80 10 10 in time can increase amount of food in just one meal.can you tell us your experience on that aspect? Thanks
@Spies152 Everything shown in this video is what I would eat in a day not one meal. Although I do eat a lot more than this these days. It can take anywhere from a half hour to an hour to eat a meal depending on the size. To increase the volume of food, I just started adding a little bit more at each meal & very slowly increased the amounts over the course of weeks or months by only a few bites. Eventually, eating more becomes easy. Just do it slowly. :0)
I bought a persimmon ones and tried it and it was gross. Was not sweet at all and weird texture. Maybe I didn't eat it when it was ripe??? How do I tell if it's ripe? I wanna try them again! Thanks!!!
@TheDoktormartini Fuyu persimmons can be eaten hard like an apple, however, I prefer them to be just slightly soft because they're sweeter and juicy that way. Hachiya persimmons have to be jelly soft in order to eat and they're very sweet. Depending on where and how they're grown, they all taste slightly different. Sometimes I go through loads of them and suddenly get some that are out of this world amazing! So keep trying. :0)
I super duper thank you for making this! Just wondering, have you upped your intake since you last made this video? Though I've never had sapote before (you made it sound AMAZING!), I must say the entire plate of persimmons would probably make a more satisfying breakfast. ;D
@kickitlikekirra You're welcome! Yes, I definitely eat much more these days. Sapote is so good and it's in season right now. Persimmons are my favorite! I could eat them all day...and sometimes do. :0)
@nls8520 It tastes like vanilla sugar or brown sugar and cinnamon or caramel cream or just plain yummy. Fuyu are best when they're a little soft & juicy. Hachiya have to be super mushy soft in order to eat. If you live in the U.S., it's persimmon season right now. Be sure to try them. :0)
How will this diet work with someone with intestinal bacterial/fungal/yeast infections that thrive off of sugar (ex: Klebsiella, citrobacter, candida)? Also, how will this affect someone with digestive issues, gastroparesis, and other health concerns like osteporosis, adrenal/thyroid issues, etc? Thanks
@XedgeXgirlX Well, I'm not a doctor so I can't say for sure. However, I've seen many people reverse those types of conditions on this diet. I also know, from experience, that fungus & yeast thrive because of too much fat in the bloodstream not sugar. If fruit sugar was a problem, all the females on this diet would be living with horrible yeast infections on a constant basis. I haven't experienced any since eating this way & I used to get them often eating SAD. Check out Robert Morse ND vids. :0)
Hi, I'm new to your site... this is the first video I've seen. I like it! Thank you, one question, I've been doing raw for only 7 days, but I am craving salt so much! Do you use salt or do you avoid it, because I am reading the 80-10-10 and he says salt is toxic. Just wondering how you deal with salt cravings? Thank you so much!
@Mafreaky777 I avoid salt. I had big salt cravings in the beginning too. From what I've learned, salt cravings are a sign we're low in minerals. Ramping up your intake of leafy greens can really help. I would always reach for salty, crunchy fruits & veggies like cucumbers, celery, spinach, tomatoes, cantaloupe or chard. That always helped a lot.
Hello, I am doing my senior project on the raw food diet, and I am collecting positive testimonials.
If you would like to submit a testimonial about the raw food diet for my project, please either leave a comment or make a response video! The video about my raw food diet project is on my channel! THANKS!!!
@Janells1 I get all the protein I need from fruits and vegetables. Yes, this diet is high in fruit sugar and that's exactly what our bodies need to function properly. :0)
Out of curiosity, do you ever test your blood sugars 30/60/90 minutes after those high-fruit meals? I'd be really curious to know if you're staying within healthy BG (blood glucose) levels...
@AlbertaBeefy I haven't personally done this but I know other people who have with excellent results. I have a couple of friends who are diabetics and have lowered their medication by following this diet. :0)
@rawsynergytv With that much fruit most diabetics won't reduce medication... at least not diabetes meds.
don't get me wrong - I'd rather see people eat fresh, organic fruit than a bunch of potatoes, fries, or anything refined or processed....
For me, I am a Type2 diabetic and I try to get the bulk of my carbohydrate from fresh vegetables (except potatoes and corn which spike me) and a little bit of fruit. For me it's a balancing act. Of course, we're all different. :)
@AlbertaBeefy I completely understand. You might want to google Robby Barbaro. He's a type 1 diabetic who has in fact lowered his medication eating mostly fruit. There are others just like him. Robby now educates people how to reverse Type 2 letting them know it's a choice. I know it's hard to imagine because of what we've been programmed to believe but that's why I share this information so others can find the truth. :0)
@rawsynergytv Type1's are very different from Type 2's. Robby can likely eat lots of fruit because his body isn't insulin-resistant, so he can easily bolus for his fruit intake and balance his sugars that way.
Type 2's, being insulin-resistant aren't so lucky. When we use insulin, we end up often bolusing more than Type1's and gain weight as a result of excess insulin in our systems.
The key for type 2's is prevention in the first place. People, stop eating processed, refined CRAP! :)
@AlbertaBeefy That's the thing though...Type 2's are way more fortunate than Type 1's because Type 2 is completely reversible. Most medical doctors won't tell you this but it's the truth. Anyone who has doubts should watch the documentary "Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes In 30 Days." It's important for people to know they don't have to suffer. And yes, prevention is even better. :0)
@rawsynergytv Not entirely true... Type 2 diabetes is (if caught early enough) completely CONTROLLABLE. Reversible would imply that it no longer exists, which isn't true.
Even most doctors today believe Type 2 patients will continue to deteriorate over time - and that just doesn't have to happen.
Controlling diet for a Type 2 involves, more than anything else, eliminating processed/refined carbs and sugars, and eating healthy/natural fats, proteins and carbs - mostly fresh veggies.
@AlbertaBeefy I will have to peacefully agree to disagree with you on this one because there is so much evidence & documentation to the contrary. It's absolutely been proven to be completely reversed within 30 days & that includes people who've been diabetic for decades. I completely understand it's hard to accept. The medical community stops making money when people are cured of this condition so they're certainly not going to advertise it. But it sounds like you're managing well though. Hugs!
@rawsynergytv actually, there is no evidence to the contrary. Anyone that's REVERSED their diabetes SYMPTOMS using diet, regardless of what type, has to stick to the diet.
Reversal of symptoms isn't a cure for diabetes. That's what I'm getting at. It's still there, though controlled. Insulin-resistance can be improved, as can blood glucose control, but going back to old, unhealthy eating habits will bring it all back.
@AlbertaBeefy Exactly, because diet is what caused their diabetes. When you remove the cause, you remove the disorder & the person no longer has problems & doesn't need medication. To me, that's reversing the condition. Otherwise, it's like saying a person has defective legs because when they jump off a two story building they end up with broken legs. Most people would agree, if the person didn't jump off the building, their legs would be just fine & wouldn't be considered defective. :0)
First - I'll state I'm not a vegetarian/vegan - although I have nothing against that lifestyle (as long as people aren't pushy about it, lol...) so I do eat eggs, meat, cheese etc. Though I don't eat meat in excess and I only eat pasture-fed, free-range, etc.
Most of my carbs come from fresh veggies, with about 2 small servings of fresh fruit per day. For me I just can't eat more fruit, some can. I love leafy greens. I dont eat potatos/corn.
@rawsynergytv ... for grains, I eat pretty much only sprouted-grain bread. I don't eat boxed cereals ... I sometimes make my own granola out of nuts, flax, and other things... I love fresh nuts...
I don't eat ANYTHING that comes in a box or package anymore, except maybe a box of fresh fruit or veggies... this time of year my kids love mandarin oranges, and they come in a box, lol.
@Pinkcessxox I like to blend because it makes it much easier but I don't do it every meal or even everyday. I definitely prefer my bananas blended and I really love blended melons too. I used to think the same thing about the amount of food before I started this but now it's so normal to me to eat this much. It's definitely something that you work your way up to.
@rawsynergytv ok thanks :) i think itd be very hard for me to start eating soo much food. haha but since i dont wat any animal products already (apart from seafood:( ), maybe itl be a bit easier by just adding alot of fruits and veges first. im afraid of putting weight on!
@Pinkcessxox You're welcome. :0) No fear necessary. You can't get fat eating fruits and veggies. That's why Weight Watchers changed all fruits and veg to "0" points. :0)
Do you not eat nuts or seeds, sprouted or not? Do you eat any colorful vegetables other than cucumbers and romaine lettuce? It just seems like too much fruit and not enough vegetables like spinach, bell peppers (which technically are fruits,) celery, etc. How do you feel about root vegetables like carrots and radishes? Tubers, onions and garlic? Ginger? Herbs? No citrus?
@MommaYoga I don't eat any fats because my body doesn't do well with them. However, they're great in small quantities. I eat lots of spinach, chard, red bell peppers, celery, arugula, beet greens. I don't eat many carrots. No radishes, garlic, onions or ginger. I breakout badly with acne from citrus, tomatoes & other acid fruits. Definitely go for variety and eat what you love.
Thanks for your video, I have been trying to educate myself about the raw vegan diet, and 1 question: what do you think about eating the skins to fruits/veggies? I've heard that's where the best nutrient density is... thanks
@djifnf Eating the skin is good but only for produce you know isn't sprayed with pesticide. I try to always eat the skin if it's edible and tastes good. :0)
@uncleanalibertine I'm not sure because this was over a year ago and I eat a lot more now. I would say I spend $100 a week on food for myself on average. It will be a lot more during cherimoya season, and less during the winter months.
Seems like too much sugar and not enough fat or other essential nutrients. You look a little thin and pale. I don't mean to be rude. Just making observations.
@bryan112706 This is an old video. Thanks to this diet I'm much healthier now and I look it too. I guess I need to put a disclaimer in this video to look at my current videos before making comments on my appearance.
@NemeanLion It's not about living longer. It's about quality of life. What's the point of living if you're in constant pain from arthritis, obesity, fibromyalgia, cancer, diabetes or heart disease. Who wants to live a sub par life taking 4 to 5 meds that give you far more symptoms than the original health issue you're taking them for when you can thrive by eating plant foods. Most people get sick several times a year. I stopped getting sick when I changed my diet. I wouldn't go back, ever.
@rawsynergytv No one's telling you not to eat healthy. My point is that being a being a raw vegan isn't the only way to be healthy and live a long life. If you want to tell me about "quality of life" though, then you're going to have to speak for yourself on that one, because I don't consider eating a strict diet of raw fruits and vegetables an enjoyable life.
@NemeanLion You're right, & I echo that sentiment in many of my videos. You don't have to be a raw vegan at all. Cutting out animal products & processed food goes a long way toward achieving great health. Low fat raw vegan just takes people to a higher level of health & vitality. I know there are many who don't want to take it to that level, & that's perfectly fine. I share my personal experience with the diet because there are a lot of people interested in learning more about this lifestyle.
@rawsynergytv eating all that and only that doesn´t make you feel nauseated and like a sensation that something is missing? i tried to eat only fruit for lunch and dinner and makes me feel kinda nauseated and can´t eat all of it..Why is this happening?
@MrEspadix It's highly likely that your body is detoxing from eating only fruit. Fruit has a cleansing effect on the body. It allows the body to go to work and remove all the toxins that have been building up in your body over time. You can take it more slowly by starting your regular meals with fruit and eventually, your body will get used to eating fruit only. You can incorporate more raw foods into your usual meals too, like green salads & some raw veggies.
@viperdude281 Actually all the amino acids we need are in fruits and vegetables in exactly the right amounts. It's hard for most to believe this because we have been taught otherwise for so long. However, my blood results prove that my protein levels are right on target by eating this way. The same goes for all of my friends who eat this way and get their blood tested. The importance is on the amount of food consumed. If you only eat small portions, then yes, you're likely to come up short.
@rawsynergytv I love when people try to tell you how "unhealthy" you are, even though if you're a healthy eater, more than likely you're doing your research and bulking up on information. People question me about about protein and iron all the time. I play rugby and lacrosse also I run long distance and still donate blood, so I think I know what I'm doing. All these delicious, nutritious foods come from nature, what do people think we lived off of before processed and cooked foods? It gets to me
@theSexyMilkMan I know, it's pretty funny. The protein and iron questions are always interesting because they don't even know the answer to that question for themselves with their own diet.
You can get all daily protein in beans, nuts, seeds & veggies like spinach - it's a VERY good source of iron too! We don't need animal protein it's just so yummy it's hard to resist sometimes! Just like you shouldn't gorge yourself on sweets, you shouldn't make meat the main source of protein. It's not that good for you. Not only do we have toxins from day-to-day living, we also get toxins that are stored in animal fat, which we're consuming in large amounts. This is why cancer's on the rise!
Try doing the "30 bananas a day" (3000 cals), and don't exercise...you will gain weight! No matter what, people cannot be stagnant...you have to move; your lymphatic system demands it!
@SteakJuicer Yes, exercise is extremely important. We were not designed to sit around, we were designed to move. It would be very hard to eat 30 bananas a day and not feel like the energizer bunny. Putting that much quality fuel into your body will definitely make you want to move.
@tbayguy This lifestyle is all about fruits, greens and a small amount of nuts and seeds. There's no oats, grains, beans, legumes, etc. It's all about consuming foods that are very easy to digest which allows the body to heal.
@rawsynergytv ok thanks for the nice reply. My trainer is ordering the book. I just like to throw in large flake oats into my green smoothies to add bulk :) Ok thanks again for the reply. Cheers Rob
mixed acclerator is carbohydrates are broken down easily in my body, but it oxizes slowly most carboydrate metabolic types are like this. But in order to know what lifestyle diet is good for you, you need to know your metabolic type. Some people don't do very well because they need more protein then others. You just have to find out what is good for you and then you can tailor your diet around it. maybe you want to be raw vegan but have the protein type. You just have to eat more nuts and seeds
My metabolic type is mixed accelerator so I can get really full off of half of what you eat in a day. Everyone's body type is different. It's silly how people commenting are like...'it's so sad that she doesn't eat dairy'...are you kidding me, look how beautiful her skin is and she look pretty healthy to me. My metabolic type is actually perfect for raw veganism because I'm carbohydrate type. Which means I need about 75% carbohydrates (or more) and 25% protein, oils, and fats(or less).
@Nosaltypeanut I typically don't eat them because I never feel well afterward but when I was eating them or if I decide to incorporate them back into my diet, I would alternate between a couple tablespoons of hempseed and some avocado maybe once a week. One week avocado, another week hempseed. If you felt really good eating it, you could eat it everyday as long as you stayed below 10% fat for best health results.
Kudos to you for even making the decision to eat on such a strict regimen and stay focused. People have to realize that one way does not work for everybody. It works for you, and as long as you are healthy, that's what counts. I would love to know how you felt the very minute you decided to commit to this. I know I would have wondered "What did I just get myself into?" lol Is it hard eating out with friends? Thank you for posting.
@shonhubble Thank you. It was a huge relief for me when I made the decision. I did wonder about how certain things would work out but I never let it affect my decision. It's not hard for me at all. I have both vegan & non vegan friends & family & I always enjoy their company. I never make a big deal about my diet & everyone respects it. They eat whatever they want to eat & I eat my fruit. It works out very well. I also love sharing meals with my fruit eating friends. It's a wonderful experience.
You're too thin. You look emaciated and your arms are almost skeletal. Have you considered getting in some more protein/grains in your diet? One cannot live on lettuce and fruit alone. You have a pretty face, and you would look absolutely stunning if you gained some weight.
@lamontekiss Yes, in this video I was very thin and still doing a lot of healing. If you look at any of my current videos, you can see I've put on plenty of healthy weight and look much better. It's been almost two years of eating this way (though I eat much more than this now) and my health continues to improve. Many are surprised to learn you CAN live on fruit and greens. I have the blood work to prove it. Thank you for the compliment. :0)
@MrsKayVee That's pretty funny because before I changed my diet, I thought the same exact thing! Once you stop eating those stimulating foods and your taste buds become so refined, you can't even imagine how Amazing real food tastes. The flavors are so exquisite and so nourishing, you crave them and can't imagine eating anything else. All the health benefits become an unbelievable bonus.
@MrsKayVee I love to cook, I even recently finished writing a cookbook but in the last few weeks, I've been re-evaluating my food intake because despite being a vegetarian for the last 20 years, I'm overweight & suffer from several things, one being lymphoedema. I stumbled upon a raw food video by chance, which led me to others, which got me doing some research & serious thinking. I realised that my problem is too much variety. I was living to eat, not eating to live. 811 makes sense to me.
what about spinach and dark leafy greens? I'm pretty sure romaine lettuce isn't nutritionally dense, mostly crunchy water. I just got my 80 10 10 book and im very excited to start this lifestyle. I am concerned about food costs though. I have to pay for my own groceries at school, maybe I'll become an extreme coupon er
@jconn012 Spinach and dark leafy greens are excellent! Romaine is also very nutrient rich. It contains protein, a lot of Vitamin A and K, plus it's a good source of minerals and B vitamins. I'm excited for you to start this lifestyle too! There are many peeps who follow this diet while going to school, so it's definitely doable. If you do a little searching, I'm sure you'll be able to find some great spots for finding produce at low cost or even wholesale. Good luck!
thats realy much food, ok I have underweight, but I think I will get used to raw soon. But my thing is that I need more fat or something to get more weight

b0ondockz 4 days ago
@b0ondockz I would say on average it's around $100. Sometimes it's more if it's cherimoya season and sometimes it's less if it's December and there's not a whole lot of fruit options available. This week I would say it's about $85. because I couldn't get any cherimoya.

What type of Sapote is that? Never heard of that fruit before. Can you get it at Whole Foods Market?
zelda127 1 month ago

@EurekaRecycler Fruit sugars do not affect the glycemic index to any extent and you can eat all the fruit you want and will never get fat.

@EurekaRecycler That's ok. She eats natural sugars and fruit has a low glycemic index because it conatins so much vitamins, minerals and fibres. mrimproviser 2 months ago
rawsynergytv 2 months ago 13
@rawsynergytv As a diabetic I have to caution anyone reading your statement about "including the ones with diabetes who've all lowered or axed their medication. :0)" Diabetics if going raw (which I am) must eat the majority of greens over fruit. SOME fruit is ok like blackberries, blueberries..berries in generl. But I guarentee you if I ate a banana my blood sugar will spike. I love fruit but unfortunatly my cells don't utilize extra sugar I put into my body and fruit is sugar.:(
akwolfsong 2 months ago
@akwolfsong Get the fat out girl, enjoy mother nature´s lovely candy, FRUIT, instead! :) The (excess) fat is to blame, seariously, because fruit sugar doesnt do harm by itself, it´s the fat that is keeping the sugar from entering your cells. Always remember that. Eat enough too, dont restrict! :)
thatfruitarianchick 2 months ago
@thatfruitarianchick Um..I'm not sure if you read someone elses post about eating fat because I didn't say one word about fat :S I eat very little fat because fat doesn't grow on spinache and kale ect. Fat comes in the form of a few nuts here and there. I said GREENS not beef or avacado or lard. Sugar doesn't need fat to raise blood sugar it does it all on it's own. I would eat fruit all day every day if I could but diabetics can't. DO a glucose test on a diabetic and see.
akwolfsong 2 months ago
@akwolfsong I'm not bashing fruit. As a matter of fact I envy you and those who can.
akwolfsong 2 months ago
@akwolfsong There is something wrong with your body then, and it´s not the fruit´s fault. If you would have grown up eating a raw vegan diet of mainly fruits and greens then you would probably not have diabetes. It´s hilarious/sad though when people try to blame things on fruit. You may be really dehydrated, sedentary, underslept or fiber deficient. I dont know for sure which one but I do know you are not meant to eat grass all day and avoid fruit. That wont get you anywhere.

@akwolfsong I include low glycemic fruit when I can. You telling diabetics they can eat it willy nilly is dangerous when you obviously know NOTHING about diabetes. I wasnt attacking you I was cautioning diabetics because your information isn't correct when dealing with THIS medical issue. You can truly hurt some poor person out there. Shame.
akwolfsong 2 months ago
@akwolfsong Oh and to respond to "There is something wrong with your body then, and it´s not the fruit´s fault."--- Ya think?? I KNOW something is wrong, hence I have diabetes. It is not fruits falt. It's a genetic issue for me. I never said that fruit caused it. BUT when you are diabetic high glycemic fruits are NOT your friend. Low ones are to a point. Please do some research before you tell diabetics sugar is fine. It is our pancreas that can't handle sugars in a normal way like your can.

Medical practioners are not all money hungry.
jfafa100 2 months ago
@jfafa100 Most published research is funded by the very companies who gain from the findings. All medical schools are funded by pharmaceutical companies. And unfortunately, most medical dr.s get zero nutritional training. There are lobby's that are pulling strings in their favor because they have money to gain. The salt lobby had a fit earlier this year when the USDA wanted to lower the sodium content in school lunches. I could go on & on. What may seem like fair research, likely isn't.

@TheDoktormartini Fuyu persimmons can be eaten hard like an apple, however, I prefer them to be just slightly soft because they're sweeter and juicy that way. Thanks
XedgeXgirlX 3 months ago
@XedgeXgirlX Well, I'm not a doctor so I can't say for sure. However, I've seen many people reverse those types of conditions on this diet. I also know, from experience, that fungus & yeast thrive because of too much fat in the bloodstream not sugar. If fruit sugar was a problem, all the females on this diet would be living with horrible yeast infections on a constant basis. I haven't experienced any since eating this way & I used to get them often eating SAD. Check out Robert Morse ND vids. :0)

Do you use salt or do you avoid it, because I am reading the 80-10-10 and he says salt is toxic. Just wondering how you deal with salt cravings? Thank you so much!
Mafreaky777 3 months ago
@Mafreaky777 I avoid salt. I had big salt cravings in the beginning too. From what I've learned, salt cravings are a sign we're low in minerals. Ramping up your intake of leafy greens can really help. I would always reach for salty, crunchy fruits & veggies like cucumbers, celery, spinach, tomatoes, cantaloupe or chard. That always helped a lot.

AlbertaBeefy 3 months ago
@AlbertaBeefy I haven't personally done this but I know other people who have with excellent results. I have a couple of friends who are diabetics and have lowered their medication by following this diet. :0)
rawsynergytv 3 months ago
@rawsynergytv With that much fruit most diabetics won't reduce medication... at least not diabetes meds.
don't get me wrong - I'd rather see people eat fresh, organic fruit than a bunch of potatoes, fries, or anything refined or processed....
For me, I am a Type2 diabetic and I try to get the bulk of my carbohydrate from fresh vegetables (except potatoes and corn which spike me) and a little bit of fruit. For me it's a balancing act. Of course, we're all different. :)
AlbertaBeefy 3 months ago
@AlbertaBeefy I completely understand. You might want to google Robby Barbaro. He's a type 1 diabetic who has in fact lowered his medication eating mostly fruit. There are others just like him. Robby now educates people how to reverse Type 2 letting them know it's a choice. I know it's hard to imagine because of what we've been programmed to believe but that's why I share this information so others can find the truth. :0)
rawsynergytv 3 months ago
@rawsynergytv Type1's are very different from Type 2's. Robby can likely eat lots of fruit because his body isn't insulin-resistant, so he can easily bolus for his fruit intake and balance his sugars that way.
Type 2's, being insulin-resistant aren't so lucky. When we use insulin, we end up often bolusing more than Type1's and gain weight as a result of excess insulin in our systems.
The key for type 2's is prevention in the first place. People, stop eating processed, refined CRAP! :)
AlbertaBeefy 3 months ago
@AlbertaBeefy That's the thing though...Type 2's are way more fortunate than Type 1's because Type 2 is completely reversible. Most medical doctors won't tell you this but it's the truth. Anyone who has doubts should watch the documentary "Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes In 30 Days." It's important for people to know they don't have to suffer. And yes, prevention is even better. :0)
rawsynergytv 3 months ago
@rawsynergytv Not entirely true... Type 2 diabetes is (if caught early enough) completely CONTROLLABLE. Reversible would imply that it no longer exists, which isn't true.
Even most doctors today believe Type 2 patients will continue to deteriorate over time - and that just doesn't have to happen.
Controlling diet for a Type 2 involves, more than anything else, eliminating processed/refined carbs and sugars, and eating healthy/natural fats, proteins and carbs - mostly fresh veggies.
AlbertaBeefy 3 months ago
@AlbertaBeefy I will have to peacefully agree to disagree with you on this one because there is so much evidence & documentation to the contrary. It's absolutely been proven to be completely reversed within 30 days & that includes people who've been diabetic for decades. I completely understand it's hard to accept. The medical community stops making money when people are cured of this condition so they're certainly not going to advertise it. But it sounds like you're managing well though. Hugs!
rawsynergytv 3 months ago
@rawsynergytv actually, there is no evidence to the contrary. Anyone that's REVERSED their diabetes SYMPTOMS using diet, regardless of what type, has to stick to the diet.
Reversal of symptoms isn't a cure for diabetes. That's what I'm getting at. It's still there, though controlled. Insulin-resistance can be improved, as can blood glucose control, but going back to old, unhealthy eating habits will bring it all back.
Hope that explains my point better... :)
AlbertaBeefy 3 months ago
@AlbertaBeefy Exactly, because diet is what caused their diabetes. When you remove the cause, you remove the disorder & the person no longer has problems & doesn't need medication. To me, that's reversing the condition. Otherwise, it's like saying a person has defective legs because when they jump off a two story building they end up with broken legs. Most people would agree, if the person didn't jump off the building, their legs would be just fine & wouldn't be considered defective. :0)
rawsynergytv 3 months ago
@rawsynergytv My Diet, FYI, is pretty simple.

Vegans don't live any longer than people who eat a healthy, balanced diet.
NemeanLion 4 months ago
@NemeanLion It's not about living longer. It's about quality of life. What's the point of living if you're in constant pain from arthritis, obesity, fibromyalgia, cancer, diabetes or heart disease. Who wants to live a sub par life taking 4 to 5 meds that give you far more symptoms than the original health issue you're taking them for when you can thrive by eating plant foods. Most people get sick several times a year. I stopped getting sick when I changed my diet. I wouldn't go back, ever.
rawsynergytv 4 months ago 7
@rawsynergytv No one's telling you not to eat healthy. My point is that being a being a raw vegan isn't the only way to be healthy and live a long life. If you want to tell me about "quality of life" though, then you're going to have to speak for yourself on that one, because I don't consider eating a strict diet of raw fruits and vegetables an enjoyable life.
NemeanLion 4 months ago

MrEspadix 2 months ago
@MrEspadix It's highly likely that your body is detoxing from eating only fruit. Fruit has a cleansing effect on the body. It allows the body to go to work and remove all the toxins that have been building up in your body over time. You can take it more slowly by starting your regular meals with fruit and eventually, your body will get used to eating fruit only. You can incorporate more raw foods into your usual meals too, like green salads & some raw veggies.

Umm.. Where do you get your protein?? Not all the essential amino acids can be synthesized by your body.
viperdude281 5 months ago
@viperdude281 Actually all the amino acids we need are in fruits and vegetables in exactly the right amounts. It's hard for most to believe this because we have been taught otherwise for so long. However, my blood results prove that my protein levels are right on target by eating this way. The same goes for all of my friends who eat this way and get their blood tested. The importance is on the amount of food consumed. If you only eat small portions, then yes, you're likely to come up short.

@rawsynergytv Thanks I did no know this
viperdude281 5 months ago
@rawsynergytv I love when people try to tell you how "unhealthy" you are, even though if you're a healthy eater, more than likely you're doing your research and bulking up on information. People question me about about protein and iron all the time. I play rugby and lacrosse also I run long distance and still donate blood, so I think I know what I'm doing. All these delicious, nutritious foods come from nature, what do people think we lived off of before processed and cooked foods? It gets to me
theSexyMilkMan 4 months ago
@theSexyMilkMan I know, it's pretty funny. The protein and iron questions are always interesting because they don't even know the answer to that question for themselves with their own diet.
rawsynergytv 4 months ago
@theSexyMilkMan but surely back in the day cavemen hunted meat and cooked it over a fire?
bc3000 3 months ago

SteakJuicer 5 months ago
@SteakJuicer Yes, exercise is extremely important. We were not designed to sit around, we were designed to move. It would be very hard to eat 30 bananas a day and not feel like the energizer bunny. Putting that much quality fuel into your body will definitely make you want to move.

I guess gluttenfreeda instant oatmeal is considered a no-no on this type of eating?
tbayguy 5 months ago
@tbayguy This lifestyle is all about fruits, greens and a small amount of nuts and seeds. There's no oats, grains, beans, legumes, etc. It's all about consuming foods that are very easy to digest which allows the body to heal.
rawsynergytv 5 months ago
@rawsynergytv ok thanks for the nice reply. My trainer is ordering the book. I just like to throw in large flake oats into my green smoothies to add bulk :) Ok thanks again for the reply. Cheers Rob

do you ever eat carbs: potato pasta rice bread?
xxmusicgurllxx 6 months ago
@xxmusicgurllxx No, all my carbs come from fruit. If you can't eat a lot of fruit, then potatoes and rice are the best choices. :0)
rawsynergytv 6 months ago
mixed acclerator is carbohydrates are broken down easily in my body, but it oxizes slowly most carboydrate metabolic types are like this.
HeartsGerman 6 months ago
@HeartsGerman It's awesome that you found something that resonates with you and works well for you. :0)

@rawsynergytv thanks :) I love your videos!

Do you ever eat nuts and seeds? If so, how much? Thanks.
Nosaltypeanut 6 months ago

Thank you for posting.
shonhubble 6 months ago

You have a pretty face, and you would look absolutely stunning if you gained some weight.
lamontekiss 6 months ago
@lamontekiss Yes, in this video I was very thin and still doing a lot of healing. If you look at any of my current videos, you can see I've put on plenty of healthy weight and look much better. It's been almost two years of eating this way (though I eat much more than this now) and my health continues to improve. Many are surprised to learn you CAN live on fruit and greens. I have the blood work to prove it. Thank you for the compliment. :0)

That is so sad..... So many amazing flavors and cooking techniques out there and this chick eats only that everyday?? To me that's just sad
MrsKayVee 6 months ago
@MrsKayVee That's pretty funny because before I changed my diet, I thought the same exact thing! Once you stop eating those stimulating foods and your taste buds become so refined, you can't even imagine how Amazing real food tastes. The flavors are so exquisite and so nourishing, you crave them and can't imagine eating anything else. All the health benefits become an unbelievable bonus.

@MrsKayVee Real food is sad to you?
XoMadelaine 6 months ago

I have to pay for my own groceries at school, maybe I'll become an extreme coupon er
jconn012 7 months ago
@jconn012 Spinach and dark leafy greens are excellent! Romaine is also very nutrient rich. It contains protein, a lot of Vitamin A and K, plus it's a good source of minerals and B vitamins. I'm excited for you to start this lifestyle too! There are many peeps who follow this diet while going to school, so it's definitely doable. If you do a little searching, I'm sure you'll be able to find some great spots for finding produce at low cost or even wholesale. Good luck!
