Hey, a fellow Cyclone GT pace car owner. And you live in Florida? I am in Highlands county Fl. Can you tell me what the 4th and 5th digits of your vin are?
@STACEYANDDEE Hey, Stacey and Dee! Sorry, it's not my car, but this was vidoed in central Florida...if I remember correctly, Cocoa Beach. Glad you have one too! Thanks!
thanks for all the comments on my cyclone conv. I just found the vidio tonite, it still needs a few things to be orignal, some stuff is hard to find. we do love to cruise the Daytona B area in it.
@bill2ization Thank you for supplying the car! I love videoing exceptional cars like yours, and am always happy when the owners see them. My viewers are indeed appreciative of owners' efforts in restoration! :) Jack
This really is one gorgeous top-less cruiser. This was the first year that Comet went from a Falcon chassis to a Fairlane chassis and in my opinion that was the perfect size for a car. Even though the Comet was similar to the Fairlane I think it was a little more upscale. The 60s were a good time for Mercury
@cheddyrod Hey, Chester! Thanks for the detail on that, Chester...It certainly maintained its uniqueness, and therefore, its reason for being! Would that they had carried that lesson forward! Thanks! :) Jack
WOW very Sharp Interior COlor! you know Jack believe it or not I am a comet and Falcon buff I dunno why but I loved the look of the first Comet with the cats eye tail lights. My grandpa had one I still remember him taking me fishing in his Green 4 dr Comic. I never got to ride in a falcon that I can remember but I would love to own either car now. The early year ones with a few options and maybe a conv. Black with Red interior.
@gene978 Hey, Gene! I love the color selection you had back in the day...it really was very complimentary to the exterior color/s. That is what these videos are all about...experiences with the cars and people that made up our youth! That's a great memory of your grandad that you have...and it centers about that Comet! Falcons were very sporty too...they definitely had some nice bucket seat models...with the venerable 289 and 4 speed! Black with red is always great! Thanks! :) Jack
