You might want to know that I was told at Lone Wolf that if I converted from .40 to 9mm all I would need is the barrel and a 9mm glock magazine, but if I had planned to shot the 115 grain 9mm, I was advised to get a lighter spring. I did that, because I will be shooting the lighter 115.
i ll be doing paperwork on a glock31 and thinking bout getting a lw9mm barrel and g17 mag. so i shouldnt have to mess with no other parts? heard some people talkn bout changing extractors. i just hope reliability is still there with this conversion.
I'm thinking about doing this with my Glock 22 gen 4. I've heard some concerns about the dual recoil springs in the gen 4 causing problems with 9mm when you switch out barrels. Have you heard anything about this or have experience?
@ghostnoteus I have experience with gen 4's but I have heard the same thing about them in reading some forums before my purchase. Maybe the guys at lonewolf have a better idea I'll see what I can find out.
@sailwed1 Yes you can. The diameter of the 9mm will fit a .40 because the outside diameter is the same. You'll notice the 9mm barrel is thicker. Contact Lone Wolf.
I love how the Glocks can switch barrels like that. I can shoot a .357 sig and 9mm through the Glock 22 with the conversion barrels right? I know magazines will need to change, but what about recoil spring?
@iluv2viddyfilms I didn't need to change anything but the magazines out and it runs great. An awesome feature and accessory to buy. Thanks for the post.
@cfeder45 Bravocompanyusa has them, they are the newest hat in their collection, awesome apparel and even better gear a really great website, thanks for posting
Hey Phil, great vid. Just wanted to ask if you had any problems fitting your glock into your kydex holster now that your running a threaded barrel with it? Or did you have to buy an entirely new holster that is meant to accept a threaded
@mtsaosin Little bit but I am considering taking a dremmel tool and making a clean hole in the bottom for the barrel to stick through and that should take care of the problem I will post a video of the work being done and keep you posted. Thanks for the post.
@GlockDropNRoll You know I looked on their site and couldn't find on or I would have gotten it. But I think that it has something to do with letting the gas escape through the port which would defeat the purpose of using a suppressor.
@philmordenrunandgun Either way, 9mm isn't that big of a kick where you would necessarily need it to be ported. You're vids are slowly making me consider getting a G22C over an XDm 40 S&W, so many more options/accessories with Glocks than any other polymer framed pistols..
@GlockDropNRoll I hear ya, and they really are great pistols, both of them its gonna come down to personal preference for you the shooter but either way your gonna like what you get.
@philmordenrunandgun Oh, your comparing it to a stock G22 mag... Gotcha. I was comparing them once both mags received a plus two base plate to keep the comparison as close as possible. Great vids!!!
@FenrirRussianWolf I believe they work with any glock if you go to lonewolfs website they have all the literature on there but I am pretty sure it will work.
Phil, great vid brother. Question, obviously you have to have different magazines with that barrel for 9mm. Did you need to use a weaker spring on your guide rod due to the lowered power factor for proper cycling?
@MakingMasterClass Nope that was a concern of mine as well but I used my factory Glock one and it ran awesome. I shot 300 rounds through it after that video was filmed and still have not had a single problem.
@philmordenrunandgun WOW, thats impressive. I am gonna send you a vid of my experience with tula in a match yesterday. thanks very much for responding Phil. Steve
This is THE best and most informative video on glock conversions. Thanks very much!

what mag do you use to put 9mm in a glock22
82syreeta 3 weeks ago
Oops, I meant to explain better. With the lighter spring, it would be more reliable in cycling the lighter 115 load.

Can you convert from 40s&w to 9mm with a standard Glock barrell? 9mm. You can get good deals on 9mm ammo also.
sailwed1 1 month ago
@sailwed1 no the outside diameter of a 9mm glock oem barrel is too small to fit into a .40 slide

@iluv2viddyfilms
You don't need .357 Sig magazines because the .40 S&W magazines will work just fine for both cartridges.
If you want to reliably shoot 9mm then you will need 9mm magazines because they don't feed as well out of .40 S&W magazines.
tzychess 2 weeks ago
Are you still using the .40 magazines or did you switch to the G17 mags?
satyrpain 3 months ago
@satyrpain Switched over to the 17 mags.

Great vid Phil. I have the G19, but kinda wish I had the 23 just so I could do the conversion and have both. Again, great vid. Thanks

Do they make 40 S&W to 9mm conversion barrels that are ported and have a threaded end?

Extra 5 rounds??? I have a G22 with a 40-9 conversion barrel and I only 2 more rounds with 9mm (17) as opposed to the .40S&W (15)...
eldogg4life 3 months ago
@eldogg4life With the +2 round magazine enhancements on the bottom of the mags and one round in the pipe you get 20 rounds of 9mm
