However, wrestling as a sport, is a whole nother story. Someone like a Kurt Angle, Bryan Danielson, Nigel McGuinness, etc. personify wrestling as a sport. Hogan was given a gimmick that could never fail, and from there he was able to get good on the mic, and become huge in pop culture. Hogan entertains, not wrestle.
