Derek can squeeeeeeze every microtone possible out of his guitar with soo much feeling its unreal.. He is light years ahead of the jazz,blues and even the shred players when it comes down to pure touch... He really is a gifted player..
derick's solo is a very close version of Duanes on the early recorded version. Dicky Betts used to do it also and I'm sure Butch does. It is their tribute to Duane to play his solo's on some of the tunes he originaly recorded.

Billy is a living legend and Derek is THE best slide player n the world. I love to listen to and watch all three of them. I love Warren Haynes as a player, but the two men on the right are two of my all-time favorites, hands down. Some of the tastiest playing and absolute best tones you'll ever hear come from those twenty fingers:D
