  • I hear police sirens in the background

  • you're wrong on youtube 720p plays fine, 1080p is exceptional too, with a few stutters at complete motion

  • This isn't a netbook if you go to asus.com they classify it as a laptop

  • @TheAwsomeGuy44 corporate notebook

  • Its not playable stfu

  • AHHHHHH you look scary

  • Isn't the nVidia 9300M GS the same as ION 2?

  • @Ulikazu i thought it wasn't even as good as first gen ion

well you see, the asus n10jc has a stupid atom cpu which really limits graphic capabilities, so the video card on another laptop might be as well as the ion 2

i read that ion plays 1080p no stuttering which is something the n10j cannot do( i have one myself)

  • if u turn shadows of and dont use dam VISTA then its k lol

  • why are these so damn hard to find?

  • I bet that this thing won't run Mario!!!

  • turn off shadows

  • why not just buy a notebook!!!!!!!!!!!!!! netbook 400-500$

almost any notebook400-500$ <-----NOT A ATOM CPU LIKE NETBOOK

  • @MultiGhost119

This has a better GPU than any $400 - $500 noetbook.

Those $400 - $500 notebooks are aimed at girls who want to use Facebook all day, this is a man's toy for men who like to play some light games while they go to work. There's a reason it costs nearly as much as a normal notebook.

  • turn shadows off

    +10 fps

  • I'm no computor person but how do you play a game on a netbook without a disc drive ?

  • @moneyrocks123 virtual drive. using power iso or something like that, tricks the game in believing you have the disc in your computer. alot of people do that when they dont pay for games, or if they dont want to keep switching discs every time they want to play a different game

  • @moneyrocks123 simple, install it through Steam

  • @moneyrocks123

just use an external dvd drive.

I use it just to install the games. after that i just use no cd cracks to play games without using CDs

  • did you know you can scope? lol

  • That is NOT playable. ABSOLUTELY NOT.

  • PSP: improved edition xD

  • I play on my laptop and get around 55-70 FPS Normally, 100+ When in a room.

  • why on Earth would you have anti-aliasing on at all?

  • thanks awsome video

  • You should put Windows 7 on it !! =O if it we're just for the battery or the graphics, or the start up time!

  • how much is it plz respond

  • @Urlog922 why don't you google it dumbass

  • i am feeling like a dork after seeing this video... cz recently i bought an ACER A0531h!!! :/

  • Why don't you just get a normal laptop, they preform way better than a netbook for games.

  • @goodatlinerider

    because its smaller and cheaper

  • @pufixas Net books are more expensive than laptops... I have a netbook, I use it for writing notes. Thats all they're good for. And of course trolling.

  • @goodatlinerider

more expensive? are you stupid? :D look at MSI Wind U100 - 200$ is expensive?...

  • @pufixas no thats cheap. But does it run anything? Not anything but word. I am saying if you have a laptop and a netbook together with exactly the same specs. the laptop will be cheaper.

  • Comment removed

  • @goodatlinerider YOU ARE A FUCKIN MORON! everything u said was wrong its incredable that takes skill to be so wrong. the lenovo s12 has a nvidia ion 320gb hard drive 3g of ram hdmi and for 400 bucks and the closest comparable laptop is 500 and its got no vid card just a GMA.

  • @Upsilonsf wait, gma isn't a video card??

  • @4n1M GMA is a series of integrated graphics cards.

  • @Upsilonsf Im sure 3gb ram would satisfy all my gaming needs...

  • hey.. do you think it would play NBA 2K10 and later games??

  • 9300M GS

    Gaming

    WTF???

  • can it play mw2 and tf2 and stuff

  • i agree vista = rubbish i can use it but i hate it lol

  • how do you get the games on the n10? external dvd drive?

  • What HD camera do you use, pls answer ??

  • THE PO PO IS COMING!!!

  • @snowaier hahaha AND THEN HE IS FISTING

  • windows vista sucks

  • 9300m gs>ION(9400m)?

  • Would this play/be able 2 use iTunes without stuttering?

  • He is playing it maxed out, if he were to turn down the shadows and the depth of field, the framerate would increase dramatically.

  • i play fps and mmo, can you try the Warhammer Online Trial? see how it works? ive read that Wow plays well....

  • turn off the computer you get more fps!!

  • Sony made one called the UX190 that you could get the 210m or whatever, basicly the equivalent to a GTS 250 if this was a 9500 GT.

  • take the anti-aliasing off and u'd get crap loads more fps...!!!! and turn off specular map!!!

  • Comment removed

  • "As you can see its actually pretty playable" soon as the firing starts it turns into a slideshow

  • it's cause of the resolution,remember it's still a netbook.

  • now, they have USB DVD ROM. Its already on sale in the market. it works just like the PC's DVD rom. just that its connected via USB. Speed wise is negligibly slower. But it still gets the job done.

  • 2 things u can do to install it-u can either copy the files from another computer which cod is installed on, and put those files on a usb and then put the usb in ur netbook, or simply use an external dvd drive.

  • how did u intall it because netbooks dont had any CD drive

  • steam

  • what is that?

  • look it up

  • I LOVE STEAM

  • this netbook have from asus external cd/dvd drive on usb ....

  • external cd drive?

  • lol it lagged so much he didnt even hit that guy who ran across the street.

Maybe hl1 games, but cod4? seriously.

  • "Quite playable"? I see that it's a proof of concept more than a gaming mega machine.. But that's not playable!

  • i tried playing nfs undercover on this thing... tried...

oh i mean fail even after turning all grapichs to lowest possible options

  • it works fine 4 me

  • Budget Laptops & Netbooks suck when it comes to games. You're better off with a mid range desktop PC that would blow away either when it comes to graphics and performance.

These are good for only general use, viewing docs, MS office, surfing etc and for what you get, £500 is a total rip off.

  • for a netbook ths is good

  • Have dun playing FPS games at 10 fps.

  • yeah, because toning down the graphics totally isn't an option.

    hey waaaaaaiit....

  • that is not playable.

  • turn off aa and shadows and it will run a lot better

  • how can u even install the game when there's no disc tray? o-o

  • usb flash drive, external disk tray.

  • have you heard about daemon tools and no-cd cracked games?

  • It is a netbook haha.

  • It's neat, but I don't know how good these Netbooks are going to do. They seem ultimately fad-ish to me, something for the hipsters to show off over coffee at the local starbucks. But, as CDs and DVDs are still the prevalent new-media, a computer that lacks a disk reader won't survive in the market unless we start buying programs off of flashdrives or wireless internet becomes ubiquitous.

  • external dvd drives are not overpriced I heard

  • Actually, I go to the University of Texas & the students who don't own Macs almost ALL own a netbook! It's great because it's light & can handle casual gaming & anything on the internet!! It's actually a pretty good deal for students. Everyone now is carrying around their programs on memory sticks or thumbdrives anyway.

You are kind of right though. I don't think a netbook will be anyone's MAIN or ONLY computer. I think they're just for people who are on the go a lot. I think they'll do well!

  • my netbook is better then my old pc but has the atom prosseser

  • has it got a disc tray?

  • probably usb disc drive

  • no netbooks do not have disc trays...but i think they would eventually sell add on

  • they have add ons i got a usb disk drive

  • its not common for netbooks to have disc trays

  • Mostly all the low end and mid range net book dont have one!!!

  • no it has no disk tray it's a net book

  • definitely waiting the 2 months for the ION

  • does better than my 2.6ghz dualcore 3gb of ram(desktop) BUT it has nivida 6150SE Which is teerrrrrrriiiibbbbbllllleeeeeeeee.

  • is this still on the line, i cant seem to find it on there website.

  • hey i have the N10 will need for speed undercover work?

  • try a demo? ..

  • wow i have same video cards on my laptop dv3550ee 13 inch 2.53 9300m gs 4gig ram

i do play now Gear of war & what a great game

1200*800 all high setting w/o Antilising run smoothly compared when i played crysis i get only 13fps veryslow but i finish the game i anyway.lol,cod4 i get 33-38 fps almost high setting no antilising.

  • Didnt say you have to have a 20 in monitor to game, 15 or even 17 would do.

  • I dont understand how anyone could game on a 10 in. screen, with that kind of Cpu and Gpu

  • Not everybody enjoys travelling with their 20"-30" screen and their desktop. I would if I could.

  • Well yea i said nvidia ion for the hell of it. Anyways should i get this or the lenovo with ion or the gateway with ati which supports 4gb ram?

  • is netbook or notebook?

  • netbook.

  • netbook duh

  • netbook

  • I'll wait for the ideapad s12 instead, it has a geforce 9400m

  • nvidia ion

  • This came out before the ION, the ION uses the 9400m

  • oh nein

  • can it play oblivion

  • Comment removed

  • Should play oblivion easily. Oblivion isn't a very demanding game by todays standards. But some of the high res mods might make it unplayable.

  • CoD4!!!! is hard enough......

This looks ok... very neat. For a wee netbook a 2 year old game is brilliant.

I bought a Dell inspiron 1300 about 2 -3 years ago.. For work... I like it, it is solid, but I didnt understand at the time that the inbuilt intel graphics would only play a list of games .... like 150... I mean thats pretty shit aint it....

I upgraded the HDD, RAM and rebuilt the OS and the hardware is solid now... actually very good, as a shell Dell are ok.

  • sorry this may be a stupid question but if you did want to run cod4 on it, you would continuously need a external cd/dvd drive won't you unless you got a no cd hack?

  • for the pc version of the game you can play multiplayer without a cd

  • Not singleplayer... which he is doing. The USB is taken up by a mouse.

  • FPS on a laggy netbook?

    Neah...

    compromises...

Lower the resolution so you get at least 30 FPS

Its just a tip for the owners of the N10

FPS games have the most intense gameplay so you really need realtime response!

  • your comment is as useful as the NB! part of my following example:

this computer has a 1.6ghz processor

NB! this computer uses a 1.6ghz cpu to process things so that you can process things because you process things when you use your computer.

  • wtf?

  • why repeat the things said in the video?

  • `cuz i didn't watch the whole thing...but now i'm watching it while I type this comment and I can say that i did not repeat anything from the video

  • he mentioned lowering the resolution to get better framerate. he's just saying it's still decent for such a netbook not that it's so playable, otherwise he wouldn't have suggested lowering the resolution. and before commenting watch the whole video. i don't care what u think anymore, i have stated my opinion on ur comment and have explained it too much already.

  • the n10j can play this fast, he just had some of the settings higher then even the 9400m would like, that's all.

  • I imagine that if the settings on COD 4 were turned down (he was running most quite high), it would run a lot better...

Even a game like Crysis can be played on low spec systems when tweaked properly.

  • the video wasnt record any higher than 27 fps, therefore watching a video of a game running at 60 fps? obviously its not going to look smooth...

and as he said, if he turns the resolution down it would also be better,

  • pfffff this thing can't run cod4 for shit

  • yeah it does, it has a 512 mb vcard

  • the fps on this video looks about 20 fps.... too low for a shooter.

  • yeah i know, you just need to lower the settings a bit and in no time you will have around 35-40 fps :) it sure handles the game very well

  • why do you think the ram on the card dertimates how good it is?

    a gtx295 has 1792mb ram and is better than the 2gb hd4870X2

  • nice. i saw yesterday a laptop don't remember the brand tho but its huge and man it has 2 gfx cards, 1 gb each card. its insane :S, and its not alienware just in case :), can carry 3 hard drives, intel quad core @ 2.90 ghz each, windows vista ultimate, 4 gb of ram, could install 8 gb of ram etc etc etc :)

  • i've got an intel core i7 with each core clocked at 2.66GHZ, 6gb ddr3 ram, 750W silent gamer PSU, 1tb of storage and my lovely gtx295 wich is two gtx260's in one solution^^

  • nice!! T_T i want a gaming laptop

  • Comment removed

  • the gtx275 werent out when they made the gtx275 lol.

and it's two gtx260 GPU's in one videocard

  • Comment removed

  • i dunno about the stream procecors, but i kow that there's two gtx260 chips on it

  • Comment removed

  • well how good for you!;)

Thank's for sharing that to us! make sure to post again on another video my friend!

    ,,|,,-_-,,|,,

  • It's that orange/black laptop, right?

I know it's not from alienware. And it's a flat one too:)

  • no, it was flat grey :)... but anyways it looked awesome man! couldve been cool if you put a custom paint job on it XD

  • Huh? What are you talking about? It's the Asus n10, not the Sager. I'm friggin' confused... Your comment makes no sense.

  • umm sorry to say, but it may be about the same. sager takes other places stuff mods it and makes it a bit better and more expensive.

  • it says asus under the screen

  • I'm quite aware.

That's why I got an external drive.

It's slot load too, so it's quite sexy in accommodation to the netbook.

  • this guy has crazy hair and a nice mustache. you can see it in the refection of the computer 1:31

  • can you get it with XP pre-installed?

  • No, but it comes with an XP disc that you can use to install on it.

  • Some do come with XP pre installed-including a version with the 9300 graphics chip

  • I deeply recomend this netbook. With Vista win. to Win.7. You can't go on Win7 if your win is xp.

  • As i can see, there is much hard disk swapping... The frame rate drop can depends on this, the hdd led was always on, near fixed.

Maybe the amount of ram doesnt help.

The atom its the real bottleneck by the way.

  • rellay good but expensive: ASUS N10J-A1 its 662 dollars at amazon, theres anothere verzion thats like 592 dollars also at amazon, but this pc has bad things like 3cell battery, i really recomend just to get a asus eee 100he and install a 2gb ram thats enof for vista then u can do gaming : )

  • You cannot do much gaming on the regular netbooks except for 5-year old 3d games on at most medium. Like WoW or Warcraft, CS, yeah. GMA 950 is shit. I'd like to see you play COD 4 or Left 4 Dead on and EEE PC.

  • So you can run some games on the asus eee? And it is upgradeable?

  • some games on it, but it really isn't upgradeable.

  • OMG im really impressed by this. im getting one

  • whats the point in pairing this beautiful 9300 nvidia graphic card with an intel atom? doesnt make sense to me. they should have put at least dual core or core2duo.. why the atom? for christ sake!!!!!!

  • Because it's... a netbook? Look up what a netbook is.

  • the n10 doesnt make sense as a netbook anyway, it's rather big and powerful, NETbooks by origin were made for surfing the interNET

it's not marketed as a netbook either, the media just calls it that. i'd say its halfway between netbook and a notebook. a nice thing though

  • the atom aint all that bad its just bottlenected by the shit intel chip set

  • jesus christ, playin somewhat "modern" 3d games on a netbook? Now I've seen everything....

Its not fair comparing this to the current generation netbooks tho like the EEEPC, Wind, Aspire One, etc cause im sure this one isnt gonna be out there for $300-400 for a while...

  • yep I was right... a little searching online and I found a preorder for $850 for this Asus N10... So its a netbook in name only, not in price.

Yet of course everyones gonna compare it to the $300 ones anyways... Go figure..

  • its 298 at walmart

  • You're thinking of the Acer Aspire One. I have that one. not nearly as powerful.

  • o my bad ur right thats y it was going slow for me

Acer Aspire One is the gayest laptop i ever saw man dont get it i take it back and buy this one its way faster and powerful

  • ouch... vista sucks

    get XP

  • 800x600 no aa and good fps on this laptop :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

  • just curious about the 720p videos being stuttering cause on my MSI wind it plays like a charm O_o

    Using Zoomplayer + CoreAVC btw

  • u play cod4 on an msi wind?

  • i was reluctant to buy this netbook because i didnt think 1.6ghz cpu with vista can play any games nowadays decently even with dedicated graphic memory, so i purchased a cheap netbook with integrated graphics and put gaming off my mind, guess i was wrong

  • Wow, even tho this is like the first gen of the gaming netbook, i know it could still run cod4 better than my 1.5 year old dell xps 410 desktop, lol! Just makes you wonder what the future holds for how much power you can cram into something so small - great vid btw!

  • The new Nvidia Ion Platform can play this game at about 55fps on a tiny Netbook but they are not out yet. The test I saw was one integrated with a weak Atom yet still almost 60 fps on COD4 on a netbook!

  • now manufactures for gpu's need to get onto the low power bandwagon, techniques they learn from low power will help them out on the bleeding edge. Lower power means lower heat output, less heat also means less power needed by the power supply. Now days for a high end gaming rig you need close to a 1k watt psu to power the bad boy.

  • well there were no 60 fps but 30 fps ...still very playable and very good...i hope to see an ion platform (ion is the name)with a via nano(better than one core atom) or a double core atom (atom 330).....that should be good !!!

  • cmon nvidia ion!!!
