I dont think they should have made this without comparing it to the 1st and 2nd movie, and also the episodes, where she meets that Merboy and they become friends, or when Ariel first met Flounder when she wore her hair BACK... otherwise, it's quite good.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE!! I ALWAYS Wanted to know who Ariel's mother was.....The only trouble with it was the plot....i wish Queen Athena had left the family to chase her own dreams or something....that wouldve been more sad than having her die.....nevertheless, JODI BENSON DID AWESOME REPISING HER ROLE AS ARIEL!

i thought comparing the 2nd and the 3rd movie, the aniamtion in the 3rd movie was a bit improved and looked like they were trying to make the animation similar like the 1st one, but mostly, everything else that i saw was like...crap....the story was bad, and mostly the rest were not as good as the first movie. the only thing that i liked is that they were trying to stay the same kind of animation like the first one

i thought ariel was younger when she met flounder. like ten or something, before she grew into her shells. doesn't anyone watch the tv series anymore? I can't wait till this comes out!

yeah i still watch the tv series when it comes on disney early in the mornings.

and i also noticed that discrepancy. But, maybe Ariel is even younger here? I say that because Ursula is in the tv series and doesn't appear to be in this movie (except, maybe, at the end?). So maybe this is pre the tv series?

Although I feel as if the story of her and flounder meeting was covered on the tv show.
