This will get you use to changing mags effeciently without using too many bullets. Doing this drill with full mags will get very expensive.
When you're "racking the slide" on your Glock. Don't keep holding the slide. Release it right away. Let it spring back into position on its own. They are designed spring into place like that.

Good choice - .45 auto. Consider getting additional magazines for it. They are the most delicate and easily-lost part of the gun. If you don't have a magazine, the gun is nearly worthless. So look into getting some additional ones when you have the money.

Glock is a highly reliable pistol and a great choice. However with you being a novice user I would not recomend carring it with a round in the chamber untill you get lots of practice. Glocks are notorious for accidental discharges with novice users becouse of the very light triger pull.

Good firing exercise. Load 3 rounds in the first mag. Load 6 rounds in the second. Pop in first mag, fire 3 shots. Change out empty mag for second one. fire 3 shots, stop. Load empty mag with 6. Fire 3 shots. Change out empty mag for loaded one. Fire 3 shots, stop. Load empty mag with 6. Fire 3 shots. Repeat drill. This will get you use to changing mags effeciently without using too many bullets. Doing this drill with full mags will get very expensive.

When you're "racking the slide" on your Glock. Don't keep holding the slide. Release it right away. Let it spring back into position on its own. They are designed spring into place like that.

Damn new Glock squeak... nice pistol man. I've always been a proponent of the "poke the biggest hole possible" philosophy. Although with the way things are going I'm going to get rid of my .45's and switch to 9mm. (a travesty I know) But my thinking is this; .45 is becoming harder and harder to come by locally, but 9mm is used by most law enforcement (in my area) and is also a NATO rnd. In the event of a total break down it will be much easier to get a hold of.

Good choice - .45 auto. Consider getting additional magazines for it. They are the most delicate and easily-lost part of the gun. If you don't have a magazine, the gun is nearly worthless. So look into getting some additional ones when you have the money.

it is best to buy one legally, but if you can only afford it illegal, then you only have one choice, you either have one or not. but like a lot of people do, is they buy it until they can afford one legally, then quickly get rid of it. that way, most people never get caught with a stolen gun. remember, never to use it unless you absolutely have to. and never lend it out to anyone.

freakin sweet gun, just remember that in a glock barrel the casing is slightly unsupported, so use ONLY factory made ammo. Reloads have been known to cause kabooms in glocks.

Glock is a highly reliable pistol and a great choice. However with you being a novice user I would not recomend carring it with a round in the chamber untill you get lots of practice. Glocks are notorious for accidental discharges with novice users becouse of the very light triger pull.
