I noticed that a lot of people use the MAC 120 Pro Palette. And Im looking to get some sort of palette. The MAC one is SOO expensive though this is more in my price range. Do you know it this is comparable to that? I mean I know its only a 88 palette but i like shimmery shadows better. :oP Any advice will help! Thanks!

In the Shimmer palette the colors have a slight shimmer (sparkle) and the "original" palette there is no shimmer (this s usually referred to as matte.

I have the 88 pearl palette shimmer and although the lighter colors are shimmery, the darker ones actually turn out more like the matte colors, all in all the palette gives a whole range of color schemes and looks.

It depends if your taking a plane or w/e w/e, but i think you should bring seperate shadows in pots or something, just incase you lose it, some one takes it or etc etc. Have fun on your trip :)

Im a teen that goes to high school and ive been really interested in these. I have been watching tons of videos about these two palettes and im so idecicive onto which one would be the best for everyday use at school. The shimmer is very light. It is not chunky at all..I actually prefer the shimmer over the matte.

Well, a little bit personal advice for you would be, buy the Matte Palette. I am buying Matte palette for Christmas because, I can add glitter when I want them to be shimmery, but if you bought the shimmer palette, you could never make your eyes matte. Also, Matte is cheaper. Hope that helped!

I prefer USPS priority it gets to me faster that way and I think it's cheaper shipping wise too.

USPS priority is cheaper than Fed ex ground and does arrive faster I have found. My first CS order I got fed ex and it took about 10-12 days to get to me. The 3rd order I got USPS and got it in 6-7 days (includes processing time at the company, which varies depending on how busy they are). I ordered this palette and the pro blush palette from them today. I have the reg 88 palette, the neutral palette, and the 28 shimmer palette already and have been really pleased with them. Worth the price &fun

The neutral palette colors are not in the 88 one. My fave is the shimmery one but I like shimmer. Payoff wise both are pretty much the same.

yes the original palette is mostly matte there are some in that palette that are shimmery. The color payoff is pretty good.

I am thinking of getting the shimmer palette cuz I don't like mattes that much... but just HOW shimmery would you say the colors are? Like, for example, a lot of urban decay shadows are just too shimmery with chunky glitter and that's just too much for me o_O But I love a little bit of shimmer :D Thanks!!

I think having just one is good since the colors are similar. It depends on what you prefer if you like shimmer I would get the shimmer palette over the matte.

A suggestion for those who are debating on getting it, if you get it on Ebay, which they have many for sale, these are actually more expensive than if you buy it on the Coastal Scents website, plus, they have a good exchange policy, contrary to some Ebay sellers. Remember that you don't want your new toy to be broken!!!
