God, I love drunk, self-destructive Jack. Matthew Fox didn't get a ton of these scenes, but he really delivered a hell of a performance. This scene, and the one with Locke in the hospital are fantastic, bottom-of-the-barrel-of-life scenes for Jack, and he kicks ass in them.
This is a message for all people who still think that Jack was an abusive man : Watch the movie "Secret Smile" with David Tennant (One of the best actors on the Earth btw.) Jack needed to control things and it was his mistake but abusive behaviour looks really different.

Wow the arguing is insane. Let's just let Jaters believe what they want and Skaters believe what they want. Because in the end, it's just a tv show, and up to our interpretation. Personally,I'm a major Jater, but I don't hate on Skate and don't care if people don't agree with me. Jate makes me happy, and Skate makes some people happy. And Sawyer, Kate and Jack all have some pretty major faults, so it's not really fair to pick out one of them to say is the bad one.
Jack is such a self-righteous prick sometimes, I swear, and Kate turns into such a bumbling idiot when shes with/around him it's damn near sickening to watch.

@alialperuyar How was he right? Yes, he's biologically related to Aaron but Kate has raised Aaron by herself for most of his life. You wouldn't tell the adopted parent of a three year old they don't know what's best for their child just because the biological uncle has showed up.
The fact that Jack could have let the nanny stay when he went on his alcoholic drug binge but instead sent her home, putting Aaron's life at risk, shows that he has no idea what is right for Aaron.
@lotron4000 Kate and Jack were in purgatory together doesn´t have to mean that they were endgame as lovers,they were together because K/J were important to eachother and they´ve always felt something for eachother so you can imagine that Kate and Sawyer were together after the island and had some kind of relationship, it´s o.k., Kate needed it. But you can´t deny that Kate and Jack had pure feelings for eachother.
They didn´t love eachother like brother and sister like some people think :)
I´m sure that Kate had some relationships with some men, maybe with Sawyer too so they don´t have to be alone but they´ve always missed Jack and Juliet and their purpose was fulfilled when they met them in this afterlife because it was cannon, which writers wrote.
BUT I´m sure that Sawyer and Kate loved eachother on the island too.

Cassidy becomes her friend helps her realize why she really raised Aaron and what she really feels for Sawyer for most of the time off the island. She can't say here: "I'm talking to his baby momma to see what I felt for him and if I still love Sawyer"
But the key is even without Sawyer around Kate loved him enough to do everything she could for him and Jack was jealous of it! Why you ask because he seen it with his own eyes She was inlove with Sawyer not him!! You can look at two key points in death one was Sawyer kissed Juliet and Jack and Kate never kissed then Sawyer huged Kate in the church and Jack and Kate didnt even hug at the church. She sat with him while Sawyer sat with Juliet, it was clear to everyone that she loved both Sawyer #1
Jack fans need to deal with it!!! Kate ended up without Jack he died on the Island his father even stated in the church Kate wouldnt be going with him from the church each person would be going there own way. The church gathering was everyone from the Island that ment something to Jack and they were there for his fathers funeral thats why Kate sat with Jack at the church! Kate made it clear she pick Sawyer over Jack it was Sawyer who picked Juliet over Kate On the docks was the proof she cried!
A point thats missed is Kate woke up to claries baby, Jack woke up to his father in the church but Sawyer woke up to Juliet!!! It was clear that the writers wanted you to know that Kate and Sawyer had a strong bond because they bumped into eachother all the time in death. But in death they were at the church for Jacks fathers funeral then to go off into the next life alone! Did ya notice Sawyer and Kate in a long embrace in the church, Jack and Kate didnt embrace or kiss! sat together only!
The key to Lost is Jack died on the Island with many others but Kate and Sawyer got off the Island the only thing keeping Sawyer and Kate from being together was his love for Juliet it was made clear threwout the show even on the docks during season 6! But with Juliet dead and both of them alive its clear to everyone with half a brain they would get back together sooner or later and them bumping into eachother was a clear sign of how important they were to eachother even in death!!
Hardly! Sawyer wanted to stay in the first place so it wasn't a completely selfless act. Plus, Jack has helped/saved his ass in more than one occasion. Its the least that hick could have done.

This scene is so sad, but so good. They both were really good. I still really hope that they will end up together in the end. Though this last season hasn't had many romantic moments for kate and Jack or Kate and Sawyer.
My opinion: jack is a good guy he trys to do what he thinks is best. Sure he's made some mistakes but everybody in this show has. Personally I think that the writers shouldn't have given him a beard it kinda made him look like a hobo XD Still jack has probably saved everybody on this show at least once.
@darkangel199508 Actually, Jack didn't save Kate. If Sawyer didn't jump off the helicopter none of them would have made it because they would have ran out of fuel. So he actually saved Kate AND Jack
Well, Jack has saved Kate countless time on the island. In addition he lied and testified on her behalf during the trial, plus if he hadn't stopped her from getting Jin, she wouldn't have made it off the island. Also, if I'm not mistaken.... Jack has helped and saved Sawyer a number of times in the past, so Sawyer helping out Jack that one time was the least he could have done.

But she doesn't have a history of grovelling in front of Sawyer. They weren't having a (one-sided) screaming match in that scene. Kate and Sawyer BOTH feel guilty about Juliet's death. I feel Kate and Sawyer have always approached each other as equals, which is something I don't get from Kate/Jack.

people would root for sawyer and Kate simply because they do not show much of a negative energy, but if you truly could sense what jack and Kate have for one another, relationships like theirs takes time to build because they are more set off for a future due to the fact that they are always willing to work for one another. Sawyer and Kate are more of an intimacy and young puppy love.

Now you can only guess what happend after Kate left the island, but the end confirms what is shown through the entire show, Kate loves Jack and it was always about him.

Yeah. It really says something that she would make what I assume were regular trips to New Mexico to visit Cassidy and Clementine (I mean, Clementine called her "Auntie Kate" in WHH). She VIOLATED HER PAROLE on numerous occasions by traveling to another state to keep that promise for God's sake. It says something about what Sawyer and the promise meant to her.
As much as I liked Jacket, Jack really does need a time-out from relationships though - he's gotta get his ish together LOL.
I still don't get how this episode, alternate title "Speed-Jating", could possibly be good for Jate, especially in the wake of "Whatever Happened, Happened". It's pretty funny, really - I'm a pessimistic Skater, but watching this scene now, I realize I'd be worried about their future if this was a Skate scene instead of Jate.
Kate initially resisted her attraction towards Sawyer, as she thought him to be like her real father, the abusive drunk Wayne...
...while here, during this fight it's Jack, the hero who initially reminded her of her beloved army dad, who's drunk and yelling at her in front of her child....Sawyer's had his anger issues, but if you'll notice it's always Jack who makes her cry. Yes, Jate bring alot of tears...or Jears LOL.

Uh, he believes her just fine. It's the SAWYER part he can't handle. He hates that he still has her heart even if they're engaged. Sawyer was happy to an extent yes, but he also realised he had a big chance with Kate but learned to move on, thinking she was dead. You saw his face when she came back.

I thought the same way, until I watched "Whatever Happened, Happened"...Kate proves to be very unselfish in that episode. I was very touched and not really surprised when Kate told Ms.Littleton she is going back to find Claire. And returned Aaron to his biological family cause she no longer needed him. And when she offered to give blood to Ben to help him because he was just a boy. Kate has changed alot over the last few seasons.
I don´t think, that Jack and Kate will be lovers at the end too, but I love them and I want them to be friends and have great relationship and Jack said it to Kate in episode Whatever happened, happened, not in Dead is dead. The reason Jack is upset is that he has trust issues as well because his wife Sarah left him for another man. Unless Kate was going back to Island and back before dinner, I don't think Jack was concerned about Sawyer... until she told him it was a favor she was doing for him. He could not let it go, and had to know what it was to calm his fears and insecurities.Compare that to the recent episode where Kate tells Jack to never ask her about Aaron, a million times worse than this...and he agrees.

When Sawyer acts like an a**hole it is forgivable because he had difficult childhood and all? But when Jack's angry it is because he's stupid and arrogant? They both have reasons to be angry and they both can be understood. Their life is complcated.
God, I love drunk, self-destructive Jack. Matthew Fox didn't get a ton of these scenes, but he really delivered a hell of a performance. This scene, and the one with Locke in the hospital are fantastic, bottom-of-the-barrel-of-life scenes for Jack, and he kicks ass in them.

Wow the arguing is insane. Let's just let Jaters believe what they want and Skaters believe what they want. Because in the end, it's just a tv show, and up to our interpretation. Personally,I'm a major Jater, but I don't hate on Skate and don't care if people don't agree with me. Jate makes me happy, and Skate makes some people happy. And Sawyer, Kate and Jack all have some pretty major faults, so it's not really fair to pick out one of them to say is the bad one.

@alialperuyar How was he right? Yes, he's biologically related to Aaron but Kate has raised Aaron by herself for most of his life. You wouldn't tell the adopted parent of a three year old they don't know what's best for their child just because the biological uncle has showed up.
The fact that Jack could have let the nanny stay when he went on his alcoholic drug binge but instead sent her home, putting Aaron's life at risk, shows that he has no idea what is right for Aaron.

But the key is even without Sawyer around Kate loved him enough to do everything she could for him and Jack was jealous of it! Why you ask because he seen it with his own eyes She was inlove with Sawyer not him!! A point thats missed is Kate woke up to claries baby, Jack woke up to his father in the church but Sawyer woke up to Juliet!!! It was clear that the writers wanted you to know that Kate and Sawyer had a strong bond because they bumped into eachother all the time in death. But in death they were at the church for Jacks fathers funeral then to go off into the next life alone! The key to Lost is Jack died on the Island with many others but Kate and Sawyer got off the Island the only thing keeping Sawyer and Kate from being together was his love for Juliet it was made clear threwout the show even on the docks during season 6! But with Juliet dead and both of them alive its clear to everyone with half a brain they would get back together sooner or later and them bumping into eachother was a clear sign of how important they were to eachother even in death!!

My opinion: jack is a good guy he trys to do what he thinks is best. Sure he's made some mistakes but everybody in this show has. Personally I think that the writers shouldn't have given him a beard it kinda made him look like a hobo XD Still jack has probably saved everybody on this show at least once.

Well, Jack has saved Kate countless time on the island. In addition he lied and testified on her behalf during the trial, plus if he hadn't stopped her from getting Jin, she wouldn't have made it off the island. Also, if I'm not mistaken.... Jack has helped and saved Sawyer a number of times in the past, so Sawyer helping out Jack that one time was the least he could have done.

people would root for sawyer and Kate simply because they do not show much of a negative energy, but if you truly could sense what jack and Kate have for one another, relationships like theirs takes time to build because they are more set off for a future due to the fact that they are always willing to work for one another. Yeah. It really says something that she would make what I assume were regular trips to New Mexico to visit Cassidy and Clementine (I mean, Clementine called her "Auntie Kate" in WHH). She VIOLATED HER PAROLE on numerous occasions by traveling to another state to keep that promise for God's sake. It says something about what Sawyer and the promise meant to her.

Kate initially resisted her attraction towards Sawyer, as she thought him to be like her real father, the abusive drunk Wayne...
...while here, during this fight it's Jack, the hero who initially reminded her of her beloved army dad, who's drunk and yelling at her in front of her child....Sawyer's had his anger issues, but if you'll notice it's always Jack who makes her cry. Yes, Jate bring alot of tears...or Jears LOL.

@hiediclassic She was on the same plane as him = she escaped with him. She left Jack to die, she could've stayed like Hurley did. Yes, she went for Claire and Aaron but the point is she spent the rest of her life with Sawyer NOT Jack. Didn't you see their long hug in the church? Are you really happy with your couple only able to be happy once they're dead? LOL.

Hahahahahaha, do you really think that Kate was with Sawyer romantically off the island until her death? Hahahaha. They became friends at the end. It was so clearly. I think they were the same relationship as Boone and Shannon at the end. Kate will always feel something for Sawyer but she is with Jack romantically.
Jack was supposed to die from season 3. Matthew F. have known the end from this season and this end is Jack in bamboo forest at the end.

Yeah she would be nothing would stop her because Juliet was dead, the only reason Kate wasnt with SAwyer on the Island again was because of Juliet and we seen that on the docks and Jack knew it!!!

@Outrajess I don´t mind it at all that Jack died. He was there until the end and he was true hero. He sacrificed his life for the island but he did it for Kate and other characters too.
And Kate has always had the strongest bond with Aaron. I don´t mind it too. I think that it was so nice. And if she wasn´t leave the island so Claire wouldn´t leave the island too.
I don´t mind at all that Kate and Sawyer were great friends and team at the end with some great relationship.

@yinloveyang They were all true heros Sawyer made a huge sac when he jumped from the plane it cost him the love of his life to save everyone that is a hero. Then when Kate came back she realized Sawyer replaced her in his heart with juliet she never stoped loving him and when she broke down crying on the docks it proved just that go look back her reaction to the ring!!! Kate was still inlove with Sawyer thats why she followed him even Jack knew where her heart always lied with Sawyer!!!

@lodilou Sawyer and Kate spent the rest of their lives together happily EVER AFTER, poor Jack died in the island and rotted there . In Life Skate were together, thats all that really matters. In Life Jate broke up and then ended up apart. Kate CHOSE to leave the island without Jack, thats FACT!

She sat with Jack at his fathers funeral, lol in death they didnt end up together they all moved on alone even his father told him Kate wasnt going with him!! Whats strange is she didnt even hug or kiss Jack that is a huge point because even Sawyer kissed Juliet and Sawyer and Kate were in a long embrace when Jack entered the church!! You missed that hey!!

@ducev597able We weren't wrong. The writers lost track of their own show and got brainwashed by Suliet. In the end, they didn't let the show write itself, which is unfortunate because everything ended up being so contrived relationship-wise in the end.

And this is really silly, because their fight wasn´t about Sawyer, this was about trust, Jack wasn´t concerned about Sawyer until this time, what Kate said to him, Jack had many problems with Sarah before the island and he thought, that Kate has somebody else, and Kate made mistake, when he didn´t say it about her promise about Sawyer´s daughter. This was about trust,they didn´t have The trust in second part of this flashforward, yes,but now, they have it again.

You hate Jack only because of that he is Jack, if he is between your lover Sawyer and Kate (who, btw, many fans of Sawyer still banish for her development). I always loved Kate, she is great according me, I never hated her in past, even if she was with Sawyer, I think, I tried to hate her, but I really couldn´t, she is super character.
You always will find a ways and reasons to banish Jack, but if Sawyer would do this, so no!!!!, he is still the best. So pathetic :P :P

why could kate just tell jack she was with her friend cassidy? he probably wouldn't have cared if she had said that, kate didn't even have to say she was doing it for sawyer. If she had done that they would still be together. Don't get me wrong I love both jack and kate, I love Jate, thats why I wish she would have told him she was with cassidy. I mean it wouldn't have been that big of deal if she said something along the lines of that she was out hanging with a friend, jack wouldn't of cared.

I thought the same way, until I watched "Whatever Happened, Happened"...Kate proves to be very unselfish in that episode. I was very touched and not really surprised when Kate told Ms.Littleton she is going back to find Claire. And returned Aaron to his biological family cause she no longer needed him. And when she offered to give blood to Ben to help him because he was just a boy. Kate has changed alot over the last few seasons.
I want Kate and Sawyer to get back together.

The reason Jack is upset is that he has trust issues as well because his wife Sarah left him for another man. Unless Kate was going back to Island and back before dinner, I don't think Jack was concerned about Sawyer... until she told him it was a favor she was doing for him. He could not let it go, and had to know what it was to calm his fears and insecurities.Compare that to the recent episode where Kate tells Jack to never ask her about Aaron, a million times worse than this...and he agrees.
