An average stone crushing machine can do what would take them all the whole day in few minutes. Yet no one can aford such simple machinery. Remindes me about grusome tails of the Victorian Climbing boys. At some point a chimney brush was invented but the chimney sweepers kept using children to climb up and dust the chimneys simply because they could buy children cheaper than a simple brush. Fustrating to se that some parts of the world has not changed since that time :-(

Someone tell me why we (The UK) are giving the rich people of India 2 Billion a year in development aid to compete with us in business and none of it is doing the people that really could benefit any good at all. well im not agreeing at all with child labor but theres 1 thing that i think is good about it ok wat if we bann child labor and we get adults to do the work instead they say that the childeren get payed less than the adults so if adults went to work the price where we buy them could double and our economy isent in good shape right now.

The government of India could start with rock breaking rather than the whole child labour issue. They only reason why this is happening is the children are doing it cheaper than a rock crusher. If the employer had to provide safety gear this might not happen.

The employer of these children would be in prison in a civilized country. But India has a long way to go to becoming civilized.

How much power, skill and speed has a 6 year old got anyway??? This is quite sad and pretty disgraceful.

1. Face masks to protect their lungs from the rock dust.

The West can race to the assistance of Burma when there is a natural disaster and the corrupt Burma government may not want help. Yet here where they need face masks or elsewhere where people need mosquito nets Western governments are fast asleep.
