When the "Lewinsky" scandal broke, Monica Lewinsky did everything she could to protect "the Clintons" by not cooperating with the Ken Starr investigation. CNN can be a bit biased, but FOX, well FOX deserves to be in a category of its own (like Ann Coulter). I watch FOX News for pure entertainment and to catch blatantly ridiculous statements that I can use as conversation starters with random people with I have nothing interesting to say. Concerning the War in Iraq, a few weeks ago Hillary said she would take the advice of the field generals and Commanders on the ground before bringing our troops home. (just like Bush is doing now) But just recently, she said she would bring the troops home immediately if elected.

CNN can be a bit biased, but FOX, well FOX deserves to be in a category of its own (like Ann Coulter). I watch FOX News for pure entertainment and to catch blatantly ridiculous statements that I can use as conversation starters with random people with I have nothing interesting to say. FOX's style is like the conservative version of Michael Moore, except they don't show as many crying mothers or babies.

Lots of people seem to think he meant "pimped out" in the MTV sense of a car being pimped out. I think he meant something else entirely. His words are offensive because he IS using it in its original implication of a pimp (Hillary) ordering a hooker (Chelsea) to do his work FOR him (i.e. campaigning). "...Chelsea's being given chores" would've been better. Bill Press' response of "If she didn't wanna be there, she wouldn't be there" confirms that Shuster's comment implies she's being forced to.

Chelsea wasn't just campaigning. She was trying to woo Superdelegates, other elected officials, who will CHOOSE the nominee. And still the Clintons told the press she wouldn't be interviewed. Shuster likely didn't mean the phrase in the way your dirty mind perceived it. A more articulate phrase should have been constructed for HRC's stage mom antics.

You're absolutely right. Shuster's comment was inappropriate in any case, but had it been made about one of the Bush twins, no one at NBC would have raised an eyebrow, even if the Bushes had complained.

Good Gawd...I am a parent of four successful teenagers and Hillary is over-acting a bit! I believe the drama was to get air time and attention for her campaign. Gosh, I came here thinking that David Shuster said something horrible...it was something that could have been rephrased, but it just was not that bad. If she is going to be that overly sensitive how does she expect to be president?? I wonder if freedom of speech will be the first thing to go. Censorship here we come...yee haw!

Not only is McCain's attempt at humor about 10 times more tasteless than what Shuster said, but while Shuster's ill-conceived comment was at least spontaneous, McCain's joke was a prepared remark to a public audience.
Maybe McCain has more in common with Rush Limbaugh than Rush thinks.

Ok. It is a crude comment that should be left to bar conversation. Not a news broadcast. However, there was absolutely no malice is his voice or the statement itself.
This is just the Clinton campaign taking advantage of an opportunity to draw attention to their campaign.

Like Obama wouldn't have gotten mad if Shuster had called Michelle a whore, which is basically what he did to Chelsea. People have a right to say whatever they want, but if they say something stupid, others should be able to criticize them, and they should be held accountable for their remarks.
