I am certain women's tennis this year will be much more competitive and better than last year. We still got veterans like Clijsters and Serena on top (not WTA ranking), and Maria seems to improve very well; young stars like Kvitova and Azarenka are getting more consistent and gaining more experience. Li na seems to be doing well in Melbourne as usual, but beyond that, she's not looking good. Hard to see her repeating half success in French this year.

I saw them playing last year at the Sony Ericsson in Miami and it was so much adrenaline, they both played really good but Kim is the queen, best woman tennis player ever !!!!

Kim's approach when she's down 0-3 in the 3rd set shows a lot of maturity & experience on her game.

She mixed-up things a little; put more variety on her shots; took some risks on 2nd-serve-return; tone-down the power a bit but increases precision & accuracy; wait for opportunity then hit a winner. That's how she turn-around this match when things isn't going her way. That's the Kim I like ^^

When Kim is healthy, she is the best player, at least on the hard courts. She is one of the truly incredible athletes the sport has ever seen and a class act.

Kim has very good footwork, and at 1:46 that was a great drop volley. Ana is a good player also but she has to work on her movement and maybe she needs more confidence out there. Still so glad Kim won!

Después de terminar de ver este encuentro, quedó demostrado el dicho que hay jugadores y/o jugadoras que solamente ganan encuentros, pero hay también los otros que ganan encuentros importantes y los campeonatos. Ana Ivanovic lamentablemente está en el primer grupo.

This is pretty annoying for an Ana fan.

I checked the scoreboard and it was 1-6 6-1 3-0 and I thought she had it. But there you go, Ana loses 6 games in a row.

It must have been something in her head thinking she had it and remembering she couldn't close out the match last time.

Ana has a good chance at the AO as long as she avoids the William's sisters and Clijsters. It would be awesome to see her reach the QF's for the first time in a very long time.

the other is trying too hard to look pretty

Last year Ana would've lost in straight sets against Kim, today she hold a 1:6 6:1 3:0 advantage so... I think that's a step in the right direction. Hopefully she'll do better on the next weeks!
