  • idiot's

  • lame security mesures u say??? wow - a leader who doesnt belive he needs to be protected from his own people..... thats what happens when u make ur allies the everyday person not high up bissnesmen

  • guess she was wrong

    seems like her words are

    ofensive in their nievate

  • I bet if you jumped over that fence they would be all over you like ugly on an ape.

  • 2 million people, no arrests.

    Go, liberal elites!

  • or maybe I should say, take that, Minneapolis!

  • Obama has been surrounded by 10's of thousands on numerous occasions and there has not been one incidence of a stampede or any reason to worry about the crowds. I don't see the point of this story. If the villagers Never showed up once with pitch forks and torches for bush and cheney I don't see Obama having to worry about the crowd. The fence is there to demarcate an area for peaceful crowd control. Riot Police, nor concertina wire will be necessary. lol

  • worst reporter ever

  • So... you're saying there's not enough separating Obama from the common people? If it WERE a 12-foot fence with steel reinforcement, you'd probably say that there's TOO MUCH separating Obama from the common people.

  • Who gives a shit about the fence? I like Veracier, but this is not news.

  • My friends have bets on how many right wing christian nut jobs will try to assassinate him

I have my odds on 5 my one friend says 3 and my other buddy says 15 snipers/assassins will attempt to kill him at this event

  • It appears to be a temporary fence. Those ties are pretty strong and they usually do not slip out. It would probably bemore than ten years before the weather started to get to them. It is more of a guidance fence than a keep the crowds back fence. i hope all goes well over there on Obama's day.

  • 30,000 troops isn't enough for these Obama freaks?

  • Ozombies

  • What does she want, a heavy metal fence? If anyone tries to jump it, I'm sure they'd be taken down almost immediately.

  • smells like a set up.racewars, economic depression nartial law northcom blackwater fema camps yay!! nice to see the cia fbi and homeland security are on the job,to busy censoring music videos cyber stalking setting up shill accounts and gathering illegal wiretapping data to notice anyone can break those barriers with a pair of fingernail scissors america!!! great way to spend tax dollars.Glad to see the ensured safety of the president elect is such a high priority

  • L A M E

  • Are the Zip ties a setup up a scenario where it appears the gates get rushed?

  • I trust zip-ties as much as I trust that Kenyan. So that is fine with me. What's he need security from? Fainting Ozombies?

$150 million for the inauguration of a constitutionally ineligible president during an economic nightmare. A good sign of the CHANGE he's gonna bring.

  • kenyan? he's a citizen of the united states you moron. you can't really be that obtuse

  • Prove it. Not with some bullshit scan on a website, either.

  • dude, he was born in hawai'i. that's the US. he doesn't have to prove his citizenship to you any more than you have to prove yours to me or mine to you. if it bugs you so much, call the IL dept of prof reg, or the IL DMV or the CA DMV. they've ALL got copies of his birth certificate. if you don't like him, that's fine but stop bringing up non-issues. it's that kind of idiocy that created the economic nightmare

  • You & I don't have to prove our citizenship to anyone because we're not running for prez.

And, actually, if people practiced this process of verifying facts (what you call idiocy), the economy would probably be in much better shape.

Enjoy the term, the Hollywood-style inauguration and good luck.

  • you don't have to right to challenge him unless you're eligible to vote. prove your eligibility... now do you understand how ridiculous that argument could get. nevertheless, hillary or mccain would have stung him on that 'issue' 24 months ago. what's more, keyes would have nailed him on that in '04. hell, it'd be on record from his CA, HI or IL driver's license. it'd be on record at the UofC or the IL professional licensing office. but it's not. let it go. it's a non-issue.

  • I DO have to prove my eligibility to vote. Hello. But since you're so forgiving and open-minded, I'll let it go. Just for you. Thanks for stopping by my channel and leaving a nice note!

$150 MILLION inauguration! He's worth every penny of it, I'm sure.

  • don't try to move the discussion to another topic. obama has voted, he's worked as a licensed professional (a DOCTOR), he's held public offices. believe me, it wasn't an issue until he came to sit at your table. that smacks of racism if you ask me. but i won't accuse you of that. i'll simply say that the premise that he has to 'prove' something to you when he's already been vetted is absurd. what's more, your attitude isn't improving anything. he's your president now. deal with it

  • "don't try to move the discussion to another topic"

But you told to me let it go! lol So I did.

  • More than once even!

  • look, i'm not in agreement with the extravagance of the ceremony either. but i think that the estimates that people are making about the spending aren't factoring in inflation (there's been inflation on EVERYTHING in the last 2yrs). BUT, it's still a bit much. oh well. that has nothing to do with YOUR objections to his presidency. i guess his winning isn't enough for you.

  • also, let me explain to you how it works. he announces his eligibility to the national convention of his party, he's vetted the party okays his bid. now if, by some amazing lapse of the collective integrity of the entire DNC, there was an issue, it'd have come up by now. dude, there's no collusion. find another issue

  • if you're really concerned about the country, use your intellectual power to become energy independent & share that knowledge. make a blueprint on how to save money & share that plan with your fellow americans. become a teacher & share something meaningful. run for public office & improve your local community. be a physician & promote good health. feed a hungry man. teach an illiterate to read. but purporting that bullshit about supposed citizenship ain't helping. were he white, it'd no issue

  • Wow, this is a sensitive subject for you. Just so you know, this is not a race issue to me.

And don't make presumptions and accusations about my character just because I don't agree. You have no idea about me, as I know nothing of you. Difference is, I don't attack you for having a different opinion.

  • my friend, if you'd deny the fact that it wouldn't be an issue if obama were white, then you're either obtuse, blind or dishonest. yes, it's a sensitive subject because that kind of bullshit confirms the "unAmerican" nonsense. yes, i attacked your bullshit. what's more, you're pretending to be "asking a question" when in reality, you're rhetorically leading to another place. ain't nobody stupid.

  • I'm obviously not your friend. And I am far from being a racist. I do however believe in upholding the very foundation on which this nation was built upon - that being the Constitution (read it?). If some Austrian bodybuilder - for instance - started running for prez, I'd be on that shit like white on rice. Skin color means nothing to me. People are people. Period.

  • if he was white & didn't have an exotic name, you wouldn't be saying a word; you'd take his citizenship for granted. also, obama himself is a professor of constitutional law. i'm positive that HE read it. unless you have some glaringly conspicuous point to make through laconic humor, your sarcasm sounds stupid; esp. given the fact that you repeated a crackpot talking point from the blogosphere. spare me. but i like your analogy of white on rice; that's how you relate. let it go...my friend

  • I tried to let it go about 4 comments ago, but some extremist keeps attacking me for having an opinion that doesn't suit his/her fancy ...

  • my friend, you tried to declare is as fact. remember? "...as much as i trust that kenyan..." checkmate

  • i like how you declared that "people are people" when your hero, the texas OB/GYN had quite a few off color (all puns intended) comments to make about black males' foot speed & proclivity for crime. my friend, you may not even know you're racist. that's what's scarier. but either way, find yourself another talking point. the birth certificate won't do. $150M won't do when the last administration spent $100B on a bogus war that they lied to sell us. c'mon

  • See my point?

  • You should be thinking of the 8.5 TRILLION

your GOD,Obama pushed for. Yeah that's right! Not 850 Billion for the bank bailouts but TRILLIONS!!!! Your great grandchildren will be in debt bondage and you promote it by promoting "MR CHANGE"

  • like i said before, the ceremony is a drop in the bucket compared to the other expenditures. either way, we're all gonna be in debt. live with it.

  • horseshit. the bank bailouts were approved when obama was busy campaigning. also, he was UNEMPLOYED during that period. learn some facts

  • Obama pushed for the bailouts so go ahead and deny reality, buddy!!

  • he wasn't in a position to push for bailouts idiot. he was busy assembling a cabinet. learn some facts, buddy

  • Do I have to find the vids of him doing this to make you believe?

Well I'm not! Your not worth the time and effort!! But I promise if you look then you will find!

  • yes. but it's fairly easy to say "you're not worth it". that's a forfeiture. peace

  • Just type in Youtube, Obama backs banker bailout and see what he says!!

  • Actually Type in "Obama bailout" and watch his speeches in support of the mass robbery of tax payers!

  • gosh, do people like you still live in this country?

  • Dude.

    Obama was pro-bailout. really.

However, he insisted on using the money to renegotiate mortgages so that people can stay in their homes, and asking for the banks to prove that they used the bailout money to make loans and not just shore up their balance sheets. He also insisted on rules to lower salaries for Execs.

BUT, he was pro-bailout. You can find plenty of videos where he claims that there's no choice and without a bailout the crisis will worsen.

  • you guys kill me on here. that's not what my point was. he didn't have the influence to push to bailout during the period the other guy was implying. does anyone read any more?

  • Dude, what's your problem? what if he was Kenyan? Ya see, it's people like you that always ruin the moment.

  • davonne, if he was from kenya it'd be a direct violation of the constitution. but barack obama jr was born in hawai'i. don't even engage these idiots.

  • $150 MILLION

    That's nearly 4 times Bush's 2nd inauguration.

And Bush's inauguration was almost twice what Clinton spent on his.

And those times were much better, economically speaking.

But hey, Obama's the shit, man! It's all good! Don't let facts spoil your fun!

  • that's NOT 4x what bush spent. the bush estimates conveniently omit the price of security. bush actually spent $158. facts, they're what's for dinner

  • true that

  • you can't be seriously agreeing with that idiot.

  • bush spent $158M. get your facts right

  • scary

  • yep, definitely a pit full of hungry crocs!

  • fuck you
