My teacher went there over the winter and he says the deer were the only highlight of the entire trip!

hmm..well, aside from the gigantic Buddha at Todaiji and the cherry blossoms during spring, there are also quite a few other attractions in Nara. but the overwhelming number of deer in the area DOES create an impact, especially for first-timers.
