I am pretty sure if a Wolf can't win against a healthy Puma then a Kangal could not either. And I have only heard of a Kangal going up to 740 lbs. Of course I don't even know if that is true, so I HIGHLY doubt a dog could go up to 1000 lbs. Give me proof

Both these dogs are good, but both are severely overated! Dogo can NOT take a puma 1 on 1, that sick video w/the dogo vs puma is an old puma thats declawed and missing teeth. When dogo hunted puma, it was in packs of 5! Kangals can NOT take on a bear, yes, they defend livestock, but in groups of 3-4! Most guys get these dogs simply to say i have a BADA** DOG to compensate there small d***! I will stick with my German shepherd; it;s a true guard dog that is well rounded for any task!

The Dogo was bred to HUNT puma in packs of 5, NOT kill them. Btw, google gabi the german shepherd at belgrade zoo, and you will read about a female German shepherd that fought off a cougar to protect a guard... her owner! It was a viscous battle, and though the German shepherd was injured, she lived, while the cougar was injured so bad, it was put down!

Very similar to the German shepherd at belgrade zoo that fought off a cougar to protect the night guard. Goes to show how loyal and devoted our dogs are to us! Well, for starters, when you compare the best of the best, Kangals are definitely more stronger and more effective as a guardian and more.

You can't compare the Dogo Argentino to the Kangal because they serve different purposes and in different categories. Kangal have to be specific locations like estates, farms, etc. while the Dogo can live in the city, suburbs etc. Kangal's a livestock guard dog, Dogo's a hunter.  Each dog have their strengths and too different to really compare.
