  • Actually, I think this was circa 1967 along with the original Spider-Man cartoon

  • FYI: The voice of Sue Storm (The Invisible Girl) was none other than Joanne Pflug, best known as Lt. Dish in Robert Altman's M*A*S*H.

  • imagine what rubberman can do with his dick

  • hmm iw ish this was on teletoon retro

  • THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!! THIS WAS MY FAVORITE CARTOON AS A KID! AND I WAS BORN IN '85!!!

  • @nickzambuto True

  • The best thing about the Fantastic Four? The Invisible Girl.

  • Those Fantastic Four cartoons from the 70s never made it

to dvd. Sad. Way better than the new ones. Because when

cartoons are drawn soo 2-D, you tend to use your ears more.

Remember the Parable of the Sower? Open your ears.

  • @johnnytoogood007 That's so unfortunate. This one was the best one.

  • gotta love the @#! flying around when an explosion happens;)

  • Thing: Catch a missile... throw it away.

  • We luv the cheesey old skool stuff. tku!

  • 1967 to 1968.

  • why do drugs when you can just watch this?

  • Why was Doom taller than Galactus? XD

  • @SymbioteSucker Maybe the Fantastic Four were shrunk?

  • 0:45 DAYUUM!

  • YES!

  • It's clobberin' time!

  • Only The Thing looks like he's actually doing something...

  • THE ACTORS WHO DID THE VOICES ON THE SHOW REALLY NAILED IT. I THINK THAT PAUL FREES DOES THE VOICE OF THE THING BETTER THAN ANYONE EVER

  • @MultiJman69 They were PERFECT! The voices of Galactus, Ted (Lurch) Cassidy and the Silver Surfer, Vic (The Outer Limits 'Control Voice') Perrin were excellently cast!

  • love the music

  • Memories!! The Thing could actually go back to being normal.

  • ok so I don't see any the use of invisibility here :)

  • ke pinche mamada solo para puro fuckin nerd

  • @salubele1 no ablo espaniol srry

  • What up with the giant villains?

  • @NintendexF8000 It's from an old FF comic, the FF were shrunk down to microscopic size to enter the microverse. It's probably worth a few hundred bucks in mint condition now.

  • Was galactus blue at some point?

  • @Captnspork Back when he first appeared in the Fantastic Four Comics, some characters have been changed through the years, that's how comics are.

  • 0:23 What the hell?! I can see her!!

  • thumbs up if you think it better than the new films

  • @stevemonkey78 I agree, this cartoon..old as it may be...is waaaaaay better than them terrible movies that came out. I'd watch this any day.

  • How would you like to be transformed into a ROCK formation?! Actually the strongest ability is the power to DISAPPEAR. Who can fight or destroy what they can't see?

  • old school one piece

  • raridade !!!

  • SOOOOO COOL!!! hahahaha

  • Steve Ditko did some of the break downs and model sheets for this series.

  • loved watching this on channel 4 around 6 am before school

  • Quick someone pass the LSD over, I am gonna need it.

  • why is Ben wearing speedos?

  • Trippy!

  • Demonios me encanta esta caricatura, recuerdo que todavia en los 90's la pasaban junto con los Superamigos :D

  • A cartoon I watched sparingly! This cartoon was too far out there!

  • Um... There's no lyrics here o.o

    WHAT A CRAPPY SONG >:O

  • holy balls this is crazy nothing makes sense galactus is very tinny and doom is huge plus wtf up whit the falling nuclear bomb at 00:46

  • @yeswehadouken It was the 60's, I remember some of the story lines from those cartoons. Most of them were directly taken from F.F. comics from 62 to 66. H&B figured it might be too much trouble making Galactus the size of a highrise. Doctor Doom story had Doom shrinking the F.F. and they still kicked his butt.

  • @jay55also thanks bro now everything make sense kinda

  • The Thing is not amused lol

  • Oh Shit! Did Michael Bay direct this!? EXPLOSION!!!!

  • OMG, this is on Boomerang? "Mom, what channel is boomerang?"

  • hehe... 69

  • SO wait, in the comics The Thing can change from rock to human?

  • These cartoons were the best, does anybody know where I could purchase them?

  • OMG....it's so cool..:))

  • OMG OMG OMG OMG GALACTUS???? O_O

  • the thing is wearing panties

  • Is this shit a superhero show or a fucking sitcom?

  • @Wh3nYour3Strang3 lol what makes you think its a sitcom ?

  • @Wh3nYour3Sti get it i think even so you got to love the music

  • 0:33 silver surfer?

    invisible girl does nothing...

    0:07 rock person looks retarded

    0:26 WTF?????

  • The 60's had some trippy cartoons.

  • @talltom1973 Flower Power. Stanley must have been high at the time.

  • @talltom1973 Cuz ou rParents were "Day Trippers" One Way Ticket (smile)

  • Google Alex Jones and Joel Skousen and look them both up here on youtube!

  • This version of the Fantastic Four was produced by the Hanna-Barbera studio (The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Scooby Doo) back in 1967, and the only Marvel characters H-B ever animated. Though not as detailed as the Ralph Bakshi/Gantray-Lawrence Spider-Man cartoon of the same period, this FF cartoon had a deliberate comic-book design to it and technically was probably one of the best animated series H-B cranked out at that time. Ironically, Disney (Marvel's parent) doesn't own this series.

  • @richartrod Woah buddy, I've been watching the '60's Spidey forever and this is way better. I love both cartoons but to say that one is more detailed than this is just crazy. The budget was so low they couldn't even draw all the lines on the costume.

  • @Afr0Thund3r I'm an animator myself as well as a Hanna-Barbera fan. Indeed, H-B didn't have the budget or luxury of time to do more detailed characters. TV cartoons were always cutting budgets to the bone just to produce ANY kind of cartoons for TV. H-B creatively worked around those limitations with a decidedly minimalist comic book style of solid colors and no shading. "The Simpsons" has that same style.

  • lol when i clicked on it i didnt ready the title so i thought the thing was spiderman lol fail

  • I love how shit is just happening in this video with no exposition or anything.

  • At first I was like: 0:16

But then I was like: 0:46

  • I read this somewhere but don't remember the source exactly. The Fantastic Four are based on the 4 elements. Reed Richards is water -- flexible and fluid. Sue is air -- see-through and transparent. Johnny is Fire. Ben is Earth.

  • 0:30 FUCK YOU WALL. YOU DONT TELL ME WHERE TO GO.

  • fantastic...

  • @paperluigi64 1967

  • how come every time someone got punched, they explode?

  • @sonicbn Coincidental spontanious explosion.

  • @sonicbn Because back in the 60's, people actually DID EXPLODE when they were punched!

  • @sonicbn Reed and the Thing hit real, real hard.

  • I love this intro the best than the modern ones.

  • This is actually a 1967 cartoon. If you watch closely at the last few frames at the bottom.....

  • this is what happens when you do drugs

  • I've never seen Galactus stand so short.

  • I loved the opening and closing credits of this version of the Fantastic Four, and the voices (including Jo Ann Pflug, later of MASH, as the voice of Sue Storm). Incidentally, the reason the Human Torch wasn't in the later FF cartoon had nothing to do with protecting kids from the idea of lighting fires -- the character had already been licensed exclusively to another producer for another project, and so they created Herbie The Robot.

  • Yay! before Human Torch got canned from the cartoon because kids tried lighting themselves on fire :D

  • A real movie about the Silver Surfer needs to be made. He was so cerebral, cognizant of his powers yet thoughtful and mindful of the worlds he encountered.

  • I remeber when this was on the old Cartoon Network

  • How Jazzy.

  • What the fuck did I just watch?

  • @crisiscore991 You watched the opening to the Fantastic Four cartoon series. I would have thought that was obvious !

  • All these songs sound the same haha! Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Fantastic 4, Spiderman XD

  • fantasticos!!

  • Ugh.

  • Is there even the intro of the 80s cartoon of the F4 (the one where they substituted Johnny Storm with Herbie) somewhere on the internet?

  • I love these series :)

  • how many people are gonna reply to my comment? I don't really care much anyway. This show's never on anymore. :P not that i dislike it or anything

  • Holy fuck.

  • @Frysgirl3009 Given the amount of creativity, imagination, and wit in the Fantastic Four, I'd say this would be why you SHOULD take drugs. ;)

  • hehe.... 69

  • Does anyone have the Jonny quest(1964) intro which was shown on Boomerang(UK)?

  • I like the show

  • boring. America is boring! :P

  • @Mirconia Yea i am so sure that cartoons kicked ass in communist Hungary in 1967 lol. For those of you who want to see how awesome Hungary was in 1967, Youtube search this video: "Getting a Drink in Hungary 1967".

  • The bad guys those day at cartoons are just too easy to fight....

  • 0:26 I love how ben's transformation included some underpants.

  • If only Ben would have been thinking happy thoughts when the gamma rays hit.

  • @PaulGreen11 Cosmic Rays Not Gamma Rays, this is the Fantastic Four Not The Hulk

  • @PREGO1966: LoL! Thanks for the correction! If only I would have thinking happy thoughts when those TangerRays hit me!

  • @PaulGreen11 If only Reed Richards hadn't *just* watched an ad for Extenze (with Jimmy Johnson!) :)

  • this just screams out old

  • even when you hear those sounds without visuals you still recognize the cartoon is from the 60s........haha

  • Good classic cartoon.... hella good

  • why is it they boxed in everyone except the thing? maybe they didn't wanna get clobbered?

  • It was the 60's....The people who created this were afterall on LSD... :D :P

  • WOW!

I have no recollection of seeing this as a little kid but the part when Ben smashes the wall seems very familiar to me!

  • 1967

  • Press 3 for endless transformation!

  • LSD was legal back then (i think)

  • @Frysgirl3009

    0:51

I think the Thing had too many.

  • I watched this back in the late-80s and early-90s, and to this day, the very thing I remember most about this show is when the whole room fills up with bubbles.

  • old marvel cartoons were the best they have to have a channel were they show all of these

  • why does the human torch take spontaneously catching on fire so casually?

  • i remember i watched the cartoon when i was a child

and now i say the fantastic four are look like; four ancient elements: water, earth, fire, and wind

  • the thing looks like spiderman on drugs.

  • why is galacuts blue and green

  • 0:17 to 0:19

    Scariest moments of my life.

  • Kinda looks like a really REALLY bad trip xD

  • both of the old f4 cartoons sucked so bad lol they shoulda made a new 1 in the 90s when everyone was making good superhero cartoons

  • @mdizzle18700 When you are a kid watching those you didn't really care. And they were better cartoons in the 80's than the 90's.

  • I always had the hots for 'Invisible Woman.' I seen both movies, "Fantastic Four" and Fantasic Four - The Silver Surfer." That attress who did Susan is one hot babe. I cannot get enough of. My other favorite character is Rock guy or 'Thing.'

    It's clobbing time!

  • That just made me want to watch some motherfuckin Herculoids.

  • 0:35 hehehe silver surfer...

  • This is from 1967, @Cfury4life

  • Epic

  • Galactus is a giant. The perspective makes him seem smaller than he is. Doctor Doom was a giant because he had shrank the Fantastic Four in a subatomic dimension back in Fantastic Four#16.

  • power rangers are better :P

  • 1967

  • Wow this themesong just explained the entire plot of FF without lyrics!

  • OHHH! I thought this was Fantastic FLOOR!!

  • Why is Doom giant, but Galactus...not?

  • @XD00155 These sequences were taken from original stories in the comic book. Doom shrank the FF in one story. Galactus is giant, but with the FF and Silver Surfer in the foreground with Galactus well behind them, he looks smaller.

  • @XD00155 He's just that great!

  • @XD00155 Idk why Galactus is smaller (probably early before he grew big) But i think the big doom is from the episode where they were shrunk or something. I need to rewatch this again -_-

    *blows into VCR*

  • @XD00155 Galactus is. In the clip you saw Dr. Doom discovered a shrinking ray which he used on the FF. Also message to original poster, the year was 1967 not 1969. If you don't believe me look at the end credits

  • @PREGO1966 No galactus is small. He is worlds biggger than that.

  • @XD00155 coz in that episode, they were shrunk by doom himself

  • @XD00155 If I remember right (which isn't guaranteed since I've tried to repress most of that series), it was a giant Doombot.

Don't remember why Galactus was tiny though...

  • @XD00155 Doom used a shrink ray.

  • @XD00155 They shank in that episode.

  • @XD00155 There was a comic where Doom shrank the FF and they had to fight his giant (to them) guards to get out. I really can't explain Galactus...

  • @XD00155 fuk man it was the 60s the creators were probably so high when they drew this stuff up they couldnt tell the diffrence

  • @VictorVonFox The only thing Stan Lee & Jack Kirby were high on was the juice of creativity and it was at full peak at Marvel during the 1960s.

  • @XD00155 cause its 1969

  • @XD00155 Maybe it was from an episode?

  • @XD00155

I think Doom had a shrink Ray in one of the episodes if I recall.

  • @ConkerfanX kinda obvious from the floor tiles xD

    problem still remains, Galactus :P

  • @lawrencealcantara620

He could change his shape and size at will in the comics sometimes depending on his nourishment AKA planets.

But mind you this was a cartoon in the late 60's early 70's that was aimed to a younger audience. Pretty sure the nitpicking wasn't as bad back then.

  • @ConkerfanX true enough lmao

never knew about the first one though then again, not that into fantastic four as i am into X-men

  • @XD00155 Doom wasn't Giant, It was a episode where they got shrunk.

  • @XD00155 Because the Fantastic 4 were shrunk in that episode

  • I didnt knew they relesed tiny fantastic four program

  • Judging by this intro, one would think the program was about four very small persons.

  • 0:35 = God Mod.

  • hahaha, this was shown in cartoon network once!

  • i remember watching reruns of this as a kid on cartoon network and the highlight of the show was ben grimms line "it's clobbering time" i was like 6 but still watching him punch stuff was awsome

  • Catchy :)

  • Dr.Doom is 100 ft tall and Galactis is like 4'3? strange.....

  • 0 :18 Uhh, where are my ears ??

  • Ben Grimm aka a Bastket Ball :/

  • So Thing and Galactus are short, but Doom is a giant?

    I call Shenanigans.

  • @TheVivvav

Those scenes are from an episode Doom reduces the FF to Mouse Size.

  • Uh...why all they touch explodes? I mean:

    0:30

    0:45

    0:48

  • @ZilkenianDagger It's due to a physics factor called 'The Kirby Krackle' ;-)

  • The Fantastic Three storyline is a gimmick. If Bucky Barnes can come back anyone can. They'll be the Fantastic Four again once sells on the new series go down.
