WHAT MADE DELTA THE BIGGEST AIRLINE IN THE WORLD WAS BUYING THE SHIT OUT OF NORTHWEST AIRLINES! As far as I know NWA was not for sale. Delta if you read this, why not next time thinkinhg about the airline you buy and its career and happieness before you buy the fuck out of it and saying it was "people" who made you the biggest airlines in the world. OK? Ok! :)
@supersajin Something told me that there would be a chemtrail comment somewhere. There is no such thing as chemtrails. Oh and by the way, -40 C is not the same as -40 F.
I still remember the wings pin (w/ Delta logo) that a crew member gave Dad to bring back to me, when I was in first grade in Kobe, Japan. The whole family went w/ Dad on his secondment to South Carolina 1980-85, and how good the steak was in Economy Class on DL1117 ATL-LAX, on our way to see Dad's host mother (from his days as an exchange student 1959-60). I have logged far more miles on JAL over the years, but look forward to seeing for myself how you're doing after the NW merger.
@mvadinan540 The fron-line employee was the one who charged them. They have no power over fees... all they can do is enforce it. Matter of fact, it was the Department of Defense's fault for not knowing the policy and taking care of the fees before.
Hmm Delta people. Well I've never met a pleasant member of Delta ground staff ever. They don't create solutions, they create bad feelings and problems.
It's a shame really, Delta make such great brand promises. They just don't keep them.
Wow, negative group, I have to say, I fly Delta 150k miles a year, and they have improved hands down in the past few months, website, award availability, etc. The human factor does exist, and after being Chicago based (no, not working for an airline), I flew UA 150k miles a year, and Delta trumps UA / USAir.
The people who made Delta the largest airline in the world are the people on Wall Street, as well as the people who mismanaged the airlines & routes Delta acquired.
Donald Sutherland's voice is lovely, but the fact we know the man's an actor paid by the word, makes it less than persuasive.
What bothers me about these spots is the attempt to win our sympathy by calling to mind what's most detestable about flying. These spots are beautiful but it's the beauty of cosmetic surgery.
One challenge is maintaining a different breed of old (Airbus) planes from your NW acquisition. Any idea what Delta's "gameplan" is on how long youll be flying their A330s, A319s, A320s in the near future.
That is very nice...

:46-52 seconds are chemtrails. Look it you for yourself.
"Exhaust vapour trails or contrails usually occur above 8000 metres (26,000 feet), and only if the temperature there is below −40 °C (−40 °F).[3]"

Great image marketing, but too bad it has no basis in reality.

I think in honor of Northwest giving up their livery and name Delta should paint a 767 in Northwest colors. (:
