I know of a couple that have a rot and a dachshund. Kind of an odd coule (the dogs not the people). The rot lest the little guy play too rough with him and he dont care, the owners have to make sure that he (dachshund) plays nice.

My Daschund, Shorty chases my Border Collie all the time. Daschunds are fearless! There are several cats in my neighborhood and the dogs will chase after them. Sometimes the cats will stop and turn. The Border Collie stops and barks at them. Shorty crashes into them full speed if they stop. Takes more than a big dog or pissed cat to scare Shorty.
