Covenant would win space battles,space pirates dont have energy shielding and the covenant do and if the best UNSC ship can be taken down by a couple of plasma torpedoes a pirate frigate wont last a few shots, Also your forgetting about covenant super carriers there 27km long and would have thousands of anti ship plasma weapons with extreme shielding, and for ground battles in the games plasma weapons are underrated they could kill a pirate in 2 shots minimum Its superheated plasma that burns.
@bill5665 Yea but the best monsters they have are Hunters. Space Pirates have all kinds of mutated mosters from there own planet. Including Ridley and Kraid. Kraid could literally destroy a Super Carrier like a RC plane. Not to mention the Space Pirates are incredibly stelthy. It took Samus special visors like X-Ray and Heat to find some of them. OH and most of the higher ups have special armor that can only be damaged by a certain type of beam... I'm pretty sure the covenant doesn't have those

I'm not too familiar with the recent Metroid games but I'm assuming that the covenant probably contains far larger numbers [of followers] than the space pirates. Anyway good song.

The Space pirates are basically scavenging raiders (Pirates lol) while the covenant is a massive legion of religious zealots, with an entire space fleet at their disposal (They have more guns than space pirates lol), I think their tech level is about the same :/
@bagmanson Same goes for covenant also, but lets not forget that the covenenant consists of more than one race, lets say the elite is the space pirate equivelant. The elites are then followed up by grunts (fodder), jackals (marksmen), hunters (tanks), Brutes (Tougher, less agile elite equivelant). Each covenant race has various ranks and/or classes. I won't list them but you can google them or something.

The Space pirates are basically scavenging raiders (Pirates lol) while the covenant is a massive legion of religious zealots, with an entire space fleet at their disposal (They have more guns than space pirates lol), I think their tech level is about the same :/

@JJCtheBeast They may have less weapons, but pirates have more classes (Elite, Omega, Grenadier, Commando, Aerial, etc...).

@bagmanson Same goes for covenant also, but lets not forget that the covenenant consists of more than one race, lets say the elite is the space pirate equivelant. The elites are then followed up by grunts (fodder), jackals (marksmen), hunters (tanks), Brutes (Tougher, less agile elite equivelant). Each covenant race has various ranks and/or classes. I won't list them but you can google them or something.

@JJCtheBeast The Pirates have different types of troopers (almost the same as having different types of races) such as the plasma and wave troopers, pirate and dark pirate commandos, Omega Pirate, and of course the matriarch that no metroid fan can ever forget: RIDLEY. *Sigh* Ok guys, Samus may be a one-person killing machine, but about 50 Spartan II's and 300 Spartan III's could give her a run for her money. Also, the Space Pirates are coordinated and have MUCH better technology, but the Covenant have a lot more people and their oh-so-subtle bline religious zeal. Thusly, the two can't compare.

not really, they don't have the weaponry and power to kill Samus, it's pretty much the same for the space pirates. just some quick info on the SP tech, they have a miniature black hole on Ridley's flagship.
so yeah, that pretty much puts glassing to shame in comparison
oh an in future, don't list a bunch of differences and then say "the two can't compare" because you just compared them. it's a rather silly thing to say.

the stick is the index, a forerunner data core thingy, that once reunited with halo's computer core, (and the covenant know exactly where it is) thus destroying all life in the galaxy (except the space once filled by instalation 04's radius). the covenant are ignorant of this, thinking (technicaly correctly) that it will rid them of their doomed existence of fighting the flood, besides the space pirates can't kill samus in early-game lol XD

And FYI i have ALL of the halo games and iv beaten them all on legendary so i think i know more than u about halo. And if the master chief can stop the covenent, than samus can do it better cuz she can survive like 50 rockets
