I was lucky enough to see him in Blackpool nearer the end of his career, and got backstage. He had the most incredible pale blue eyes that I had ever seen, and his spoken voice just simply cooed like a dove. he was polite, articulate and was able to tell us all his remaining dates of his tour (something Eartha Kitt could never do under the same circumstances haha). I got an autographed photo which I will treasure along with the memory.
