  • YOU FUCKING CUNT NO WE DONT SETUP.

  • Y U NO TEACH ME ABOUT HL2 SYNERGY SERVER!?!?!?>:U

  • Thanks for the video, used this years ago and forgot how to setup. =)

  • hey, im using mac and pc. what kind of connection should i have to make the 2 computers connected? Im currently having wireless internet router, both computer is connected through wi fi, but doesnt seem to get the job done. since the synergy is still not working.

  • Thanks!

  • Thanks this was a great help.

  • rape comment and subscribe?

  • Anyone know how to install this on a Mac? Im running the latest version of snow leopard

  • lol is all i have to say

  • also @theonegamefreak

if you are talking about pushing sessions from one computer with each having their own individual OS, that technology does not currently exist in widespread commercial form. however, research "Continuous Client". its a concept being developed in various forms in multiple organizations, and is certainly something to expect within 5-10 years as the norm.

  • @theonegamefreak yes you can absolutely do that. its a program called Maxivista that allows for multi monitor use over a network, and the latest version supports windows 7. i reccommend checking it out. maxivista (dot) com

  • "cannot open primary screen; unable to openscreen"

    any ideas? :(

  • @wcbgn You have two instances of Synergy running

  • it's kind of glitchy, but its your only option if you want to share keyboard+mouse between windows and linux boxes (other than a hardware kvm)

if you are only looking to set keyboard+mouse sharing between 2 or more windows PCs, i recommend "Input Director" instead

  • You helped me enormously - THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

  • i did everything, it said successful, and it doesnt work for some reason

  • Worked perfectly. Thank you very very much.

  • Thanks

  • Very nice guide :) but u cant drag and drop files from computer to computer :(

  • what a wanker! His last setup couldn't connect to the server. It had the log warning popping up and just closed it saying thanks for subscribing! Man, grow up and take responsibility of the crap you stream to other users who need real help!

  • Very good job.

  • thx man

  • Thanks Dude ! - U explained it well & excellent confidence.

  • IS EXTREMELY FUN!!!!!!

  • Of all the videos....urs was the ONLY one that clearly helped me set this up! THANKS!

  • Darn it...

both of my comp have the same screen name and when I change the screen name, and press start on both, one of my comp says:

"Please enter the name of the computer sharing a keyboard and mouse, not the name of this computer, in the Other Computer's Host Name field."

Is there a way to fix that?

  • I have been trying to get this to work for days. It took a 15 year old kid to show me how. Good job dude!!!!!

  • Darn, I thought I'd be able to move windows around between Pc's... guess not. Is there a program that can do that?

  • @Theonegamefreak Unfortunately there is not from what I know but still did you get this program working?

  • Yeah it works.. but some times when my server mouse goes to the client screen it lags..

  • @Theonegamefreak

i think what youre thinking of is building a cloud. but that requires a completely different operating system and alot of time to configure and compile.

  • @Theonegamefreak just use SSH with X-forwarding for that if your on linux.. dunno if it works with mac's or windows, if it does it would only be as a client from a linux server.. anyway its a cool option, the host don't even have to be in the same room or country as the server, hell the server can even be headless.. try an open source os, it's a life without limits

  • mine cant connect. Does it work with win7?

  • Comment removed

  • Cool Cool Cool.

  • ugh, it tells me that it was sucsesfully started on both pc but nothing happends

  • What does it matter how many computers he had it on? His instructions are right! I'm pretty sure it's obvious who the real idiots are here. Thanks for the video man!

  • No Problem.

    "Best Tech Best Talk"

  • Fail, for the following reasons: 1. You have made it obvious to me that this was done on one computer, and synergy is for two computers. (Synergy window did not move, you only switched your wallpaper on the first "computer switch"). 2. Your server failed at the end of the video ( 5:53 ) 3. Nothing about *nix and Mac. In conclusion, I am going to make a video to show you how you could do better, I'll have it up by next week.

  • nice job man. thanks.

  • your an idiot

  • thank you this helped me

  • you're an idiot

  • Very informative.

    Thanks
