But i understand why people may think that R1 is superior.

and R2 for me was for some reson really depresing, in the end when you know lelouches intentions you can't hate him anymore (if you hated him)

but otherwise BEST ANIME EVER

I just want to say my piece about Code Geass

Code Geass is like watching Lawrence of Arabia, Les Miserables, the Nolan Batman Films, and Watchmen: minus everything that makes Lawrence of Arabia, Les Miserables, the Nolan Batman Films, and Watchmen interesting.

I disliked the beginign of R2 because of how confused i was with it at first but i came to love R2 even more than R1 because of how epic the show really got.

I loved how all the charecters start somehwere and end somewhere.

lol idk what they mean by season 2 and season one, it is a continuation of the story, period, its like they made the 50 episodes and just split it up, and the story is picking up so (expect more fighting) =D

I just have to say, R2 turned Lelouch into a total sociopath, this really did end up killing the series. His cold callous behavihor made him totally unlikible. This is what killed it for me.

i dont know if its just me because i can relate so much with Lelouch but i thought it really transcended basic plot it went beyond and left a lasting impression, the characters are completely fleshed out and all is resolved, maybe it takes alittle more to understand but i thought it was the perfect anime and R2 was just as good if not better than S1

i went into this review know that i loved both code geass(1 of the best animes ive watched) and just to hear your thoughts on it NC some of the things i did of corse disagree with but i did like how you did not put down R2 that much as for gurren lagann ive seen it it was funny with SOME epic battle but the spiral stuff not needed so heavily the ending of R2 totally blew my mind and made me rethink every single episode after lelouches dads death great ending and build up loved the reviewkeepitup

Nice Review, personally i like s2 just as much as s1 even though alot of the mech battles r not as good as s1 due to the fact s2 delve emotionally deeper especially the tragic parts (which is 1 of the best things about anime story telling imo). I still havn't seen death note but if it's as good as CG i think ill check it out

Know i=oen thing I like about this? It might not be much but they ended it. The creators told the fan"It over shut up move on" and they ended it. They told the story they wanted and didn't feel the need to drag it out.

I had a laugh at all the fanboys trying to make up way's so that the siries wont end. my fav was that it was lelouch driving the cart at the end. that show had 1 of the most conclusive endings ever.
