Libertarians believe that part of the minimal role of government is to punish those who do violence to another individual. Murdering your own child would fall under that category.

An unborn baby is a human being, not a "potential" one, but an actual, living, growing human. Claiming otherwise because it's convenient to murder that innocent baby is no different from calling "infants" and "adolescents" mere "potential" humans.
