Forgot, you will need a set of small files (cost about $10 - $15 for the set at Lowes or HD). You'll never complete this clock without them. You'll use them for final gear adjustments after its all put together and it still needs a few gear tweeks.
Thanks for posting this!! I would have liked for you to have said or filmed more about what you did to get the clock to work. What was the problem, was it too much weight, or a combination of a few things?
I have wanted to start making one with my son, but as we have no idea of watches can not. If you could give me is so friendly with level planes or tell me where I can find it. Of course I give my thanks and convey my admiration for his talent ...
@pyromania321 IMHO: Never use gloves with any power tool when woodworking. If the blade catches the glove you very likely end up with broken bones and much more serious injuries than you would without...
Fantastic video! That is what I call dedication! So...when are you going to try your hand at building Boyer's Radiance clock? ;)

great presentation! i've seen a lot of these clayton boyer pieces. it's nice to have someone walk us through the construction of one.
and way to stick with it. you gotta have a "never say die!" philosophy if you're going to attempt a timepiece.

Where did you buy your weights
DeathScythe3153 6 months ago
@DeathScythe3153
I made my weight using copper tubing from a surplus plumbing company filled with old lead pipe (also from the same surplus store).

Shouldn't you be using safety gloves when cutting stuff out?

Timing is good. you can adjust by moving the pendulum bob up or down.
