  • Fantastic video! That is what I call dedication! So...when are you going to try your hand at building Boyer's Radiance clock? ;)

  • great presentation! i've seen a lot of these clayton boyer pieces. it's nice to have someone walk us through the construction of one.

and way to stick with it. you gotta have a "never say die!" philosophy if you're going to attempt a timepiece.

  • Forgot, you will need a set of small files (cost about $10 - $15 for the set at Lowes or HD). You'll never complete this clock without them. You'll use them for final gear adjustments after its all put together and it still needs a few gear tweeks.

  • Do these gears use an involute or cycloidal profile?

  • Looks good! Can you put the total amount of hours you spent on this project in the description?

  • @salpta

I spent about 3 weeks on it. Most of it in one week.

  • can i see some clock blue print? because i always wonder how clock works...^_^

  • Thanks for posting this!! I would have liked for you to have said or filmed more about what you did to get the clock to work. What was the problem, was it too much weight, or a combination of a few things?

  • Where did you buy your weights

  • @DeathScythe3153

I made my weight using copper tubing from a surplus plumbing company filled with old lead pipe (also from the same surplus store).

  • I have wanted to start making one with my son, but as we have no idea of watches can not. If you could give me is so friendly with level planes or tell me where I can find it. Of course I give my thanks and convey my admiration for his talent ...

Si usted es tan amable podria facilitarme los planos con cota o decirme donde los puedo encontrarlo. Desde ya le doy mi agradecimiento y comunicarle mi admiración por su talento...

  • Shouldn't you be using safety gloves when cutting stuff out?

  • @pyromania321 IMHO: Never use gloves with any power tool when woodworking. If the blade catches the glove you very likely end up with broken bones and much more serious injuries than you would without...

  • Very good video. Thank you very much.

  • Looks great.

  • Really great to watch - thanks for taking the time

  • How much did it cost to make this?

  • @drtomorrowworld

    About $160 or so.

  • very nice

  • Nice clock! Thanks for sharing.

  • I liked how you put it together, Great little video, couldn't have done better myself.

  • Absolutely excellent How To video on the Simplicity! Very nice presentation, and your Simplicity came out great! Congratulations.
