goodjazzlistener, you started criticizing for no reason? why is that? no one did anything to you... These are obviously good musicians, what makes you think they can't improvise? As a music professor I can tell you that alto solo is improvised for the most part. This is how the band interprets the music, they are doing there own thing... that doesn't mean they can't improvise over a jazz standard and make it music... And I don't think they care about winning or losing they just like to play.

sorry i couldn't make it to watch this historical event but you know i though it was really funny to hear from a couple kids who were there that these moonglowers aka: duschbags. actually took 2nd and were actually beat by there own B!!!!!! Band. this just proves the flaws in the states judging system.

By the way my mom hates seafood and if i was smoking that i'd be playing really bad jazz.
