It's pretty sad that Seed Astray has far more better characters and interesting take on that universe than the Seed or Seed Destiny animes. Astray should have been animated while the main series should have been put in manga form
As for Kira's decision not to kill, that's because he could kill everyone then. The point is- he grew stronger throughout the series. At the beginning he didn't have the control Not to kill people. He killed in self-defense then, and in defense of his friends. Once he could protect them why would he need to kill anyone? He's not a mindless Destroyer like Shin. That's what the series is about too- Having each character with a Gundam is cool! Especially when they ALL use SEED at the same time, lol

Seed is just a lame attempt at remaking Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 (the original) for modern audiences. Starting off I didn't hate Seed or Destiny (I hated Shinn though with a passion) but the main thing that got me was Kira's little lame ass deciding not to kill towards the end of Seed and throughout all of Destiny even though he did when it was absolutely necessary. My problem is EVERY MAIN CHARACTER HAD A GUNDAM which is just over kill.

I started with Wing and I loved it, I loved all the Suits in that series especially Deathscythe and his variants and they weren't Godly invincible for the most part. All the Gundams were destroyed by the end of Endless Waltz. Now persoanlly my favorite is the original series with UC OVAs and Zeta...well everything UC cept ZZ Gundam. I hated G Gundam but that's me, I know a lot of people liked it. Also I would love for an Astray OVA.

Well you're right about the animation issue but that aside, just the level of directing and use of tactics is so reminiscent of Stardust Memories. In Seed/Destiny, it would focus on "super epic extreme poses and laser blasts that take up 85% of the screen". There's nothing wrong with that, in fact its awesome when it happens...when it should...as they execute so well in 00 Gundam.
Watching this again, the scene where he cuts up the ship reminds me of old school Mobile Suit Gundam too XD CHAR!!!

It would've been so awesome if Sunrise produced a Gundam SEED Astray TV series. I wished they did, I find a lot of the Astray characters really cool. Gai Murakumo is my favorite character of the Astray series.
Who knows, if they wanted to do another Gundam SEED series, they should've done one around the Astray characters. That's a GINN High Maneuver, a real rare variation, its way faster and better armed than a standard GINN, it can even give Cgues and the first generation G-Units a run for their money. You can tell its an HM because of the bayoneted rifle.
The Blue Frame 2nd in L mode is Gai's regular setup, he take it because he's got better maneuverability in than in G mode. It's his preference since he got the Blue Frame upgrade. And Gai's not the type who'll let his subordinates do all the work.
To answer the 2nd question, it's money. Selling rare GINNs like that fetch a real nice sum from what I read.
Yeah. They have a tendency of not having main characters with "plot device" powers and basically unstoppable Gundams that make all the battles worthlessly easy for them. After Kira got Freedom I really got bored with the series until the fought Providence.

Nah. Seed was complete and utter bollocks beyond about episode 12. Once the plot wears thin and it relies on visuals, the fact every character under 20 looks identical with different hair/eye color doesn't help.

No, ORB's primary suit is the M1 Astray, the mass-produced mobile suit based on the Red Frame. Even though, in Gundam Seed Destiny, Murasame became ORB's Main mobile infantry.
I was saying, Orb's primary unit is not the Red Frame Astray, and now I know, at the time of comment, I only presumed so, but after looking into it, the Red Frame is a "special" unit.

Blue Frame was severely damaged in battle against rogue "Combat Coordinator" Eleven Socius and his GAT-01D Long Dagger. Afterward, Gai, Lowe, and Orb engineer Erica Simmons collaborated to upgrade the suit to a form known as Blue Frame Second

Lowe contributed the Tactical Arms system, which completed the first configuration, Blue Frame Second L ("L" for "Lowe"). Tactical Arms was a high-mobility backpack equipped with a 90 mm Gatling gun. Tactical Arms could detached and be reconfigured as either a hand-carried gun or a 20 meter huge sword.

Like Red Frame's "Gerbera Straight", the Tactical Arms sword was very sharp and covered with anti-beam coating. The second configuration was Blue Frame Second G ("G" for "Gai"), which replaced Tactical Arms with the Full Armor Phase Shift (FAP) system. FAP could, like Tactical Arms, be used as a high-mobility backpack, and could also fold around to cover the entire mobile suit with additional Phase Shift armor

That's a GINN High Maneuver, a real rare variation, its way faster and better armed than a standard GINN, it can even give Cgues and the first generation G-Units a run for their money. You can tell its an HM because of the bayoneted rifle.

The Blue Frame 2nd in L mode is Gai's regular setup, he take it because he's got better maneuverability in than in G mode. It's his preference since he got the Blue Frame upgrade. And Gai's not the type who'll let his subordinates do all the work.
To answer the 2nd question, it's money. Selling rare GINNs like that fetch a real nice sum from what I read.

Yeah. They have a tendency of not having main characters with "plot device" powers and basically unstoppable Gundams that make all the battles worthlessly easy for them. After Kira got Freedom I really got bored with the series until the fought Providence.

by the looks of the battle in the begining that battle is taking place w/ the last few episodes of seed...gundam seed astray is taking the same place as seed. yes destiny is after seed and like astray gundam seed stargazer follows the destiny time period.

its like seed is reraning the old gundams now its like g gundam with wing and z like the other seed but mor action and fiction then the other seed. in the other seeds it was like mixer of them but more of the original gundams and mor drama and les fiction and now is like g gundam wing z zz realistic but mor fictional battles mor down to earth but its great ...

Nah. Seed was complete and utter bollocks beyond about episode 12. Once the plot wears thin and it relies on visuals, the fact every character under 20 looks identical with different hair/eye color doesn't help.

They both got them from Heliopolis after the ZAFT attack. They cross paths from time to time. And the pilot of the Red Frame helped upgrade the Blue Frame.

I always thought ORB's primary unit was the red frame Astray - but now, I seem to have doubts in that; ORB's Astrays seemed to differ from the one in MSV Red Frame Astray - and it was never said in Gundam Seed that ORB's were red frames where as they did in the MSV they did say that unit was a red frame.

No, ORB's primary suit is the M1 Astray, the mass-produced mobile suit based on the Red Frame. Even though, in Gundam Seed Destiny, Murasame became ORB's Main mobile infantry.

Hey if you get some tamiya spray paints and take the time to prepare you model you can do the a chrome model kit. I'm doing it with an Astray Red Frame. When I tried with the Strike Freedom, the blue came out great. Should give it a try,
