Shame on Jeffrey Donaldson for his membership of the Orange Order. When Catholics, Protestants, the Chief Constable, Loyalists and Republicans stood shoulder to shoulder at the mass for murdered Constable Stephen Carroll, not one member of the Orange Order joined them because of the oath taken upon entering the Order which bans attendance at a popish ceremony. If Jeffrey Donaldson doesn't see the divisiveness of his membership, he should not be a people's representative.

As a Catholic, I'm not able to join the Orange Order. The only time I've been able to directly help Protestant Churches is helping repair the roof of the Pres. Church in our town which was falling into a state of disrepair - we also rotate Christmas services between the 3 churches in our town - CoI, Pres and RC. In the Republic we look beyond religion to see the character of a person, doesn't matter if you're Protestant, Muslim, Sikh, Catholic. Welcome to the 21st century Republic of Ireland.
