If God did exist, God obviously doesn't "want" to interact with humans for whatever reason. Thousands of children die in Africa from starvation and disease and God does not intervene. I think it is stupid that the people in this video assume that if God exists then he will levitate a bottle or stop that guy from falling. If God exists whether he does or not he won't interfere with humans, at least while we are alive.
I don't even know why people fight over this type of things. I mean I'm a christian...or well that's the easy way to explain it. Who cares what you believe in and if people don't believe what you do then just leave them be.

@William81Edge10 I thank you for being honest. The idea of this video wasnt to get peoples attention on the internet to watch it and convince them of God. This was created for a youth group at church as an "ice breaker" an opening to a sermon if you will. So using the myth busters theme was to catch the young viewers attention. Just having fun. Then I posted it to laugh and observe a video we made years and years ago. Didnt think it would get so much attention.

@akrytus You trust ancient sources depending on how many other corroborating pieces of evidence there are. We don't know if Socrates ever really existed, but because there exist corroborating pieces of evidence from completely separate sources, we can assume that he did, and such an assumption suggests no contradiction to our understanding of the universe. Evolution is observable, small insects and viruses such as HIV have been observed evolving in real time. We have proven the link between DNA and evolution and even use this knowledge for things like forensics and dating the approximate gene splits in modern species.

@simplyput100 nowhere in the bible does it mention anything about the battle of Thermopylae (The event 300 was based on). Many of the events of the trojan war are believed to fictitious and the bible mentions nothing of this story either. I know there is know afterlife you would have to be insane to want to live forever. I know I'm going to die but if I can make this world a little bit better for future generations then I will cease to exist with no regrets. That's the purpose of mortal life.

In the time when that book was written everyone thought the earth was flat indeed, and no one proved yet that it was not. But it was already in the bible that the earth was not flat, when no one had disproved that. Also how the cycle of water works, and how important blood is to be and stay alive. Just one of the many coincides in the dusty book that are now proven today.

@saraistring Actually there were many authors. There are 66 total books in the bible mostly written on scrolls in Hebrew and Greek. They were collected and put together to make now what we call the bible. Not 100% on this, but I think the first bible was written in latin around 400AD.

It wouldn't be recorded in the historians of the day accounts b/c Bethlehem was such a small town, and thus not that many babies to make a headline in other parts of the country. @Imaginefree69 The fact that Christians were willing to die for their faith in the Resurrection of Jesus, and that attested to in Tacitus i believe, under the reign of Tiberius Caesar, points to the growth of the movement as well as the fact that the Romans and Jewish authorities both would have turned up the body of Jesus had He not risen. The Resurrection is one of the key components in the Christian faith, so why die for something they can't prove and could easily be disproved?

1. Many make fun of this video because of quality. I understand it is low quality, this was my first video and was made 6 years ago on a cheap camera with shareware video editor. Obviously not a rarity on youtube.

This was created for a youth group at church as an "ice breaker" an opening to a sermon if you will. So using the myth busters theme was to catch the young viewers attention. Just having fun. Then I posted it to laugh and observe a video we made years and years ago. Didnt think it would get so much attention.

Yes there are some books in the bible the author is unknown. I am curious though, who was Adams first wife? The bible says she was. We don't know if Socrates ever really existed, but because there exist corroborating pieces of evidence from completely separate sources, we can assume that he did, and such an assumption suggests no contradiction to our understanding of the universe. @akrytus I did not learn evolution form a book or even from school. I learned about it from several books articles, journals, websites, lectures, videos, etc. The list goes on and on. Furthermore evolution is a theory based on observable and quantifiable evidence, peer reviewed by our best and brightest. the bible on the other hand was written thousands of years ago when they still thought the earth was flat. I have a mountain of evidence to support evolution you have a dusty book.

Scrolls and writings are not quantifiable evidence, even though only a select group of people could read and write back then it still doesn't mean what they wrote about was 100% correct. Evolution is observable, small insects and viruses such as HIV have been observed evolving in real time. We have proven the link between DNA and evolution and even use this knowledge for things like forensics and dating the approximate gene splits in modern species.

Many of the events of the trojan war are believed to fictitious and the bible mentions nothing of this story either. I know there is know afterlife you would have to be insane to want to live forever. I know I'm going to die but if I can make this world a little bit better for future generations then I will cease to exist with no regrets. That's the purpose of mortal life.

you say people try to prove god does not exist by doing things expecting god to intervene. if he doesnt intervene you say it wasnt gods will but if your prayer is answered god gets all the credit. no matter what god is good and does no wrong whatsoever. im sorry but i will never ever believe in god. science has proven to me that god does not exist. god only lives thru the ignorance of man

@saraistring Actually there were many authors. There are 66 total books in the bible mostly written on scrolls in Hebrew and Greek. They were collected and put together to make now what we call the bible. Not 100% on this, but I think the first bible was written in latin around 400AD.

I liked it! I know it's bad quality, but I've seen worse. Actions are more important than beliefs! I must agree with the "Fighting Atheist." He was a former Christian, like I was. The reason I believe there is no God, (any scriptures) is because He would perform to many miracles. Now, we don't see that, hardly ever any "miracles." Now, God obviously does nothing, because we would get dependent on Him. What matters is what is important, not right and wrong. What awaits us has us wonder too much!

@Imaginefree69 I haven't done all the research into these areas, in fact, i've just begun in a sense. But one thing i have come across is the Bethlehem massacre. It wouldn't be recorded in the historians of the day accounts b/c Bethlehem was such a small town, and thus not that many babies to make a headline in other parts of the country. Being so small, it wouldn't make that big of a difference, not to mention how long it took for news to travel.

@Imaginefree69 The fact that Christians were willing to die for their faith in the Resurrection of Jesus, and that attested to in Tacitus i believe, under the reign of Tiberius Caesar, points to the growth of the movement as well as the fact that the Romans and Jewish authorities both would have turned up the body of Jesus had He not risen. The Resurrection is one of the key components in the Christian faith, so why die for something they can't prove and could easily be disproved?

@Zoolander3000 People have essentially been worshiping the same diety for a very long time, rooting back to ancient astrology. Read yourself a book called "A Hero with a thousand faces". Your argument that the Christian scripture is true because people have followed it is irrelevant and proves nothing. People have always been looking for an answer to specific quesitons about life, and each faith attempts to sell their beliefs to fill that hole.

The point of the video is how non-believers try to prove god doesnt exist through stupid self acts expecting God to intervene, and believers try to prove he does exist through trickery. Both of these are incorrect way to prove or disprove God.
