I love DDR propanganda..BUT reality of it all bites.
1. You were NOT guarenteed a home for life, Technically you was given a place but if someone was more useful to the system they would move you out to another place and them in if they liked and so desired your place.
2. Almost everything you done was monitered (especially even phone conversations (even though technically this was illeagal even in the DDR without a court order XD).
They brag of low crime, True but they had some crimes hid.
Cont: A book about the hidden crimes (can't remember the exact name) discusses the Erwin Hagedorn case,crossword puzzle killing of 1981,and many other covered up crimes.The fact is this (as well as the other Communist Europe countries) lead people living there to a persona of false pretences that:We are better than the West or We are better than America,True there was less crimes but those that did happen were either toned way down or covered up entirely and even police were forbid to mention it
After the fall of EU,the GDR will back in Germany! We all know the EU is the gretest hoax ever fabricated and it's time to seee what is real instead of a shear fantasy!
Truth revealed at last. The real reason the wall was built was to keep all those "greedy" westerns out from over running the GDR and getting all of "them free goodies." Yeah,sure!
@lIIusive East Germans fled to a brilliantly created mirage. When the Warsaw Pact fell apart in advance of the USSR's fall from an engineered bankruptcy, the camouflage of debt-fueled artificial prosperity fell and revealed the globalist tyranny behind it.
The globalist oligarchs are out in the open and in total charge of the U.S. Our pathetic "freedom" is to choose our chains and favorite path to poverty. Our rights are nullified by the contract laws we must submit to in order to live
@lIIusive sorry? I think you'll find it was less than 200 that tried to leave the official GDR after the horrific Stalinist regime, and they left to be with family.
I'd like the home yes. Instead now the bank owns my home and I am a slave to debt for probably my next 30 years. Someone kill the bankers for me please...
Well this was made for an online game, so take it as something that could have been East German propaganda rather than a real reflection of life under the East German regime. Whilst these things were guaranteed it is not certain that it was always granted. For a good book about the DDR read 'a people's state'

It was a good concept but poorly implemented.

@TheGrandvoyager
That must explain why 3.5 million East germans fled to the west.
