  • These fairmonts are just great i love mine and its just fun to drive thanks for the video, by the way where do you get custom made fiberglass cowl induction hoods for one of these machines?

  • @Ford302ism The hood on this car is the factory steel hood with a fiberglass scoop added. I think they came on certain Mustangs in the 80s.

  • Thats good for a small motor. Man, I remember when Fords were so restricted by the heads they never where much of a threat to us Chevy guys. That's all changed with the advent of Al. heads. I picked up a Z-7 Mercury- same car as your friend's. I am going to do something similar to it. We're running out of rear-drive cars at reasonable prices! I have that and I picked up a '91 S-10 so I have something to work with. Thanks for the info.

  • So what were the results? Engine combo?

  • The best pull that day was 396HP and 345 lb-ft. It's a 347ci aluminum headed roller motor. As I recall, it went about 11.20 at 120mph with that particular combination.

  • Nice car! I love the fox body Fairmont Futura, I done 3 of the futura style so far.
