just wanted to answer some of your idk's... those oragnes smoke cloud looking things, were electrical impulses in his nervous system as he was waking from cryo.. so yes his organs.. also ship on fire, could be getting shot at or could be the pipes.. just wanted to say its called explosive decompression, when the pipes break sparks are caused and the oxygen burns, realistically only for a fraction of a second because its cold in space.. cool video though!

@Kingicetre It may be napalm. Nampalm is a gasoline mixture with oxygen inside of it, that means it doesn't need oxygen outside around it because it's air pockets are already full of it. Therefore oxygen isn't needed, which is why it can be burning in space.
@Kingicetre There IS technically several answers to your question (assuming you asked it with the intention of someone answering). But all of them would involve a change in the status of the derelict the Chief is currently stranded in, which given it is nothing more than a sheered segment of the light destroyer from Halo 3, one would assume ANY fires/combustable materials would have run their course during THAT disaster.
And that leaves two major explanations: weapons fire or re-entry.
Weapons Fire: The large light emanating surface the enflamed derelict is falling towards COULD be a spaceship of somekind that fired on the derelict (for whatever reason) and if it's Forerunner in nature, that means it's weapons are Covenant-ish meaning Plasma and burning metal.
Re-Entry: In the Best possible ending of Halo 3, you see the derelict falling towards a planet-like sphere.

The "jetpack/thruster" is just part of the fusion powered pack every spartan 2 is equipped with to run the armour. I dont understand why its acting as a thruster in the trailer though but so far its always been a power pack.
chief was one of the first spartens so there abilties werent strong enough like there agilty speed strenth so he has boosters not a jet pack to help him jump higher

just going to throw in my two cents. Onyx was a planet constructed of trillions of Sentinels, the b.a. kind. In the book, they immediately responded to the threat of the Covenant assault group once the planet was "activated" and the dyson sphere was opened and then supposedly closed permanently after Dr. Halsey and some Spartan II's & III's entered. The planet destroyed a covenant fleet in seconds, i feel like if the sentinals attacked this ship, it would literally be blasted into atoms.

@Kingicetre It may be napalm. Nampalm is a gasoline mixture with oxygen inside of it, that means it doesn't need oxygen outside around it because it's air pockets are already full of it. Therefore oxygen isn't needed, which is why it can be burning in space.

@Kingicetre There IS technically several answers to your question (assuming you asked it with the intention of someone answering). But all of them would involve a change in the status of the derelict the Chief is currently stranded in, which given it is nothing more than a sheered segment of the light destroyer from Halo 3, one would assume ANY fires/combustable materials would have run their course during THAT disaster.
The primary reason for a change would be HEAT.

Weapons Fire: The large light emanating surface the enflamed derelict is falling towards COULD be a spaceship of somekind that fired on the derelict (for whatever reason) and if it's Forerunner in nature, that means it's weapons are Covenant-ish meaning Plasma and burning metal.
Re-Entry: In the Best possible ending of Halo 3, you see the derelict falling towards a planet-like sphere.

see now i get the feeling that the planet is a hidden forerunner world and who knows just useing my imagination there might be a few forerunners there who have survived and isolated thereselves off from the rest of the galixies to prevent becoming infected with the flood and i personally think it would be great if we got to meet some forrunners in the game but it does not go well as you discover a hibernating gravemind there then you then have to find a ship and escort the forerunners to earth

The "jetpack/thruster" is just part of the fusion powered pack every spartan 2 is equipped with to run the armour. I dont understand why its acting as a thruster in the trailer though but so far its always been a power pack.

@NeverMeanToTheGreen The covenant don't have a home world. their many different species from many different planets who share a religion also i don't remember ever having humans attacking a covenant home world so even if their was one it has not been touched. Also I don't like star wars and i love halo i guess it IS possible to like one and not the other. If you knew anything about halo you would know this is a shield world that the forerunners built. Don't pretend like your an expert.

@forito567 The Covenant was started by the Elites and Prophets. Each had a homeworld, Sanghelios and Janjur Qom, respectively. And since Humans never attacked it, like you said, how do you know neither of those planets could look like this? They are a race obviously very advanced in technology, even if they are immitators. I also didnt play Reach or ODST, so if thats how you "know" what a shield world looks like, then I must have REALLY missed out with those games.

@forito567 no the prophets created the religion and then later on wanted the sangheili to join them. which caused a civil war. eventually the ones who wanted to join the prophets won out and thats how they joined. i highly doubt they were the first species to join the "great journey" at that. and no i didnt even play odst i know this from paying attention to the other games. and from reading about the forerunners who created "shield worlds" like in halo wars. the covenant are NOT in this game

just going to throw in my two cents. Onyx was a planet constructed of trillions of Sentinels, the b.a. kind. In the book, they immediately responded to the threat of the Covenant assault group once the planet was "activated" and the dyson sphere was opened and then supposedly closed permanently after Dr. Halsey and some Spartan II's & III's entered. The planet destroyed a covenant fleet in seconds, i feel like if the sentinals attacked this ship, it would literally be blasted into atoms.
