  • OmG 50 CeNt SOo fUckinG cOOL

  • I am doing Kali and i feel special to actually have been meeting Johan or that Chuck Norris that you see on stage xD

  • That one guy had some sick knife skills! Looked really cool ;P But let's be honest, the hand to hand combat part, does not work in real life. It just doesn't.

  • @jensi18 yes it does. it works in street fights and real fights, unlike boxing, muay thai and bjj

  • @copypacercopypacer Apparently you have never been in a street fight.. :P

  • @jensi18 are you taliking about this or kali open hand overall, because if thats the case then your obviously igorant.i have been in a fight and i'm not trying to be arogent or anything but panantukan, mano mano or any other open hand like kuntaw and eskrima empty hand works pretty good especially compared to wing chun, krav maga and akido which don't do too well compared to empty hand fma. :) i've been in a fight and i'm pretty sure you nobody to say that i have never been in one. cheers :)

  • Excellent

  • WHO IS THAT CHUCK NORRIS?

  • Regarding doing it slow, I just started learning Kali and that speed they're at is still ultra quick. Great fun to learn though, I look forward to every class

  • Really nice demo!

  • Is there any Kali Sikaran Clubs in The Philippines?

  • I see the Kali. Where do you show the Sikaran?

  • nice!

  • Song (in the club) by 50 cents

  • wats the name ogf the song cool vid i also do arnis

  • great demonstration!

  • is that chuck norris? XD

  • MABUHAY Kali Sikaran

  • I am suitably impressed!

  • If they want some real action without slow motion I suggest go here in philippines ang challenge street fighting or go here in one of the dojo and challenge them.

  • The second group was amazing I love to her incredible tegnica HCAA I'd like to learn why

  • That is my trainer!!!!

  • no doubt.. the FILIPINO ART OF WAR.

  • First off I've studied Kali for many years. It's effective. No doubt.

But the tendency to practice so much with a "dumby" opponent is ridiculous. It doesn't really help once you get past just learning the motions. Real opponents react, sometimes unexpectedly, and certainly uncontrollably.

The whole "i'm going to stand still and let you do five extra moves" seems very pointless to me. I understand doing that at times, but it seems the norm.

Just my thoughts. What do people think?

  • kali is about flow in my opinion without sticks knife and the carambit and the sticks is another world im filipino and i learn filipino martial arts in kali majapahit not just kali panuntukan dumog and alot more we practice by really trying to do the moves and aiming for the face if that dude fails to do the drill and gets hit in the face not the other guys fault i want you to chat with a guy with username fredevrard founder of kali majapahit he may explain more to you

  • Guy with the blond hair reminds me of Chuck Noris.

  • I'm gonna start on Kali Sikaran soon :D this monday can't wait xd

  • Отличная работа!

  • why we don't see Kali in UFC?

  • My guess? In the UFC you can't use knives and sticks, nor can you finger whip, strike to the eyes, use downward elbows to the back of the head and spine, use small joint manipulation and on and on. UFC is awesome to watch but it is a game. Most FMA are combat oriented...

  • still hitting opponents arms, blocking it while launching attacks, etc. is pretty good; we all seen the bourne movies and know how it looks; I can't find a reason why UFC fighters don't train for Kali combinations, a modified version of it atleast;

  • how bout panuntukan 6 combo killer heel kick and it is also filipino martial arts

  • @InnovationHero

Kali is more on sticks but a little bit of hand-to-hand combat. If you want to relate UFC to Filipino Martial Arts, try searching Dumog and YawYan...

  • your a bit wrong we do ALOT MORE DRILLS ELBOWS and alot more and here are more things to search silat and i think escrima well i'm a student in kali majapahit search videos of it

  • majaphit is an ancient empire located in south east asia and philippines or southern part of philippines is da center of it. also da sri vhijayan empire where lapu2x bloodlines came from

  • @InnovationHero

the Dogbrothers (who are doing Pekiti Tirsia by the way) applied for the ufc, but where friendly turned down by the Television guys because it would have been to brutal. You can read the answer letter somewhere on their URL

  • im proud of this guys appriciate and value the Filipino Art of War and yet Pinoys dont see it..FMA, one of the most advance MA out there..SALUTE.

  • i'm filipino i will try to expand word of filipino martial arts your right it makes me confused though

  • i'm here in pinas and i want to learn this art. i juz don't have time and money to, that's why i refer to the internet. there are still many who are proud of this art here but only few practice.

  • bagio city cambridge 6 o clock 650 per month

  • Flawless and deadly, Mes amies.

  • if it will be apply for real this is very dangerous

  • in my own opinion, Kali Sikaran is the excemption of all the martial arts depending on the popularity to where it originated. . .Kali Sikaran is not too famous in the Philippines compared to Boxing, Karate, Kung Fu, etc. all of these Martial Arts were famous to where it originated

  • BTW what's the twister knife called?

  • Karambit

  • @richaye in the Philippinenes it is called a Lihok. (pronounced: Lee-hok)

  • Its very funny that more non-filipinos are better at this than the filipinos. In my observation only.

  • Never in a million years i would say.

  • You mean Filipino's will never realize? Haha!! I guess it's true, not untill the peoples mentality changes...

  • i'm filipino my guru in kali is filipino classmates in kali are filipino are you gonna be racist like some guy called anonhatemachine who puts the philipines as a worthless country i love filipino martial arts its effective deadly and fun to learn the only problem is here in the philipines only few know about kali we are trying to expand we filipinos realized kali earlier than foreigners not never wtf does that mean some other guy in vented filipino martial arts thats dumb

  • @devilsnevercry322 where do you train? Where is majapahit?

  • LoL. OK youtube homie.

  • Youre right with that one...

  • how bout the people who developed the art they do not even show snake disarms

  • Ive trained with these guys and the FIRST thing they show you is snake disarms, maybe its a bit basic for exibition fights tho =)

  • @snuggl123 thats true, i started training kali sikaran two weeks ago and we've already learned the snake disarm.

  • @swissherbcandy thats probably because they want it to look that way

  • Foreign martial arts dominate the Philippines. I just hope Filipinos would give time to FMA's like ARNIS, KALI and YAW YAN... Foreigners realizes its effectiveness, I just hope someday Filipinos will..

  • Filipinos living in pinas focus on foreign MA, etc. to ignore the lifestyle and wanted to adopt other nationalities (social, or social climber). FMA, Arnis, Kali is famous here in US. Movie industries are focused on the pinoy arts for effectiveness. We pinoys who are living outside pinas are craving for everything the land has to offer. I grew up here in US and still I proudly pump my fist on my heart and say I'm pinoy.

  • filipinos will what??? tuloy mu kaya!!!

  • I just hope someday Filipinos will realize it's effectiveness and appreciate it. That's what I mean.

  • not all filipinos some love kali like me my guru and my classmates in kali majapahit

  • no need to all filipinos to learn of proper training of kali coz filipinos has it on ther bloodlines of warriorship like manny pacquiao

  • don't worry i'm not a racist like other people. I'm also a Filipino training in FMA. Though I haven't started training in Arnis/kali yet.. I don't even like imported martial arts hehe... By the way.. Do you know where to find Master Rodel Dagooc..?

  • Nice video!

  • there are better filipino instructors in europe.

  • trust me ultimatewasome101, if you have ever met johan(the blond guy), you will right away experience that this guy is the real deal. he literally kicks the shit out of you, he doesn't even show 0,1 % of what he is capable of here. He's a former full contact world champion, this is not someone you would want to fuck with....

  • Key word......demo! :)

Relax.....all you Grandmasters out there talikng smack.....geez, give a break!

  • It goes very fast and those guys is the real deal and also my Mentors for 5 years. Kali Sikaran is a mix of different filipino styles, panantukan boxing, sikaran kicking, dumog "wrestling, filipino muy thai, sticks and blades etc. Look up your local fma school regardless of style if interested, any is good in its own way. mabuhay ang philippines.

  • where is their headquarters located?

  • Gothenburg, Sweden;) I train there and have been for more then a year. Its great, loving it:)

    Peace

  • Mabuhay!

I gotta love this art (or combination of arts), it looks fancy yet useful, very nice moves, at least this vid.

  • Yaw Yan short for saYaw ng kamataYan or dance of death is the philippine kickboxing.promote this fma so it get more popular in our country.

  • Why do some retards complain about it going slowly? It's a DEMO! If they would do it for real you wouldn't be able to see what they were doing, the knife-part would be over in less than a second then.

  • @NordishTerror try and watch born identity, he uses kali eskrima i heard and it looks awful quick (btw whats the difference between sikaran and eskrima?)

  • @evilbritta no he did not use kali escrima he used kali and silat

  • shame on me! this foreigners know cali and i don't. i think the phil govt. should promote locally the filipino combat systems (kali, eskrima, arnis and panantukan) the way the korean govt supports taekwondo and japan, karate, aikido and judo. fcs should be part of the phys. educ courses like arnis.

  • arnis is part of the educational system. i took arnis as part of my physical education requirement at University of Santo Tomas in Manila back in 1993.

  • Nice vid!

i train Kali Sikaran under Leif T. Røbekk

    Molde, Norway

  • You guys are great! I'm Pinoy but taking up Judo. I should explore this indiginous filipino martial arts.

  • Oo nga, eto pa yung ibang martial arts ng Pinoy.. Gusto ko lang sana makita mo yung "yawyan"(saYAW ng kamataYAN) icompare mo sa "judo". Ang judo kasi puro grapling lang.

    Philippines Martial Arts:

Eskrima • Modern Arnis • Sikaran • Yawyan • Panantukan

  • Maganda din yang Yaw yan~ Mix Martial arts yun hehehe~ gs2 ko pumasok sa yawyan club to gain experience hihihihi~

  • Jiu Jitsu is better and more applicable in real life situation~ I suggest you take Jiu Jitsu rather than Judo =)

  • I recommend ninjutsu

  • i hope you mean japanese jujitsu

  • Wow Johan Skålberg! He's cool, trainer at Fighter Centre in Göteborg :D

  • Ugh!

  • 50cent ftl

  • Agreed. ¬_¬

  • sikaran ftw though :p

  • dangerous stuff. but i always see white people instructing haha...

  • Are you a racist?

  • haha dang, how many times did that guy get stabbed. deadly!

  • there's another sikiran that's authentic malaysian, and it's damn F***** powerful and lethal. it makes you make a move before the oppenent hits you!!

  • Banned by the Spaniards, ngano kaha? hadlok sila sa Pinoy? Hehehehehehehehe....

  • why dont you strap up and see if you can do better big mouth

  • if you are real filipino you will appreciate the beauty of sikaran.the movement are fast and its fun 2 watch.and we could say to the world that we filpinos'have our own identity ,when it comes to martial arts.filipino martial arts is the best.filisikaran and arnis.

  • yup the karambit was pencak silat, embah kahir style

  • nice one tho

  • we Filipinos were treated as slaves by the Spaniards back then. But because of the early Filipino martial arts, the Spaniards were not able to conquer the whole Philippines. Kasi ginulpi sina Magellan bago pa sila makababa ng barko. hehehe

  • best part was the Indonesian Kerambit... that part was Pencak Silat not Kali.

  • youre right. the guy with the kerambit is Jeff Espinous, he also does Pencak Silat.

  • FMA rocks, i know 3 of the 4 guys starring this vid and i'm honoured to get teached by them, i also have a little expirience with TKD and Thaibox, but if u want to learn soms all around fighting moves, it's here u've got to be

  • Wow, saying it wouldn't work in reality is just retarded.. The first guy used to be my trainer and believe me, he has used it on many ppl since he is a door guard in gothenburg

  • the moves are to brutal and not to honrable(when you attack a helpless oponent) because sikaran was invented during the spanish era by the peasants/farmers of the filippines. i think.

  • This would look ridiculous if the "victim" actually defended themselves.

  • It's a Show. If you would do it realistic and fast people couldn't see what the were doing.

  • So why do you watch this movie, and not your karate kid vhs?

  • very true

  • Exactly. The reason they are doing it slow is to show the technique. in a real life situation they probably would go fast and do only half those techniques.

  • Nice clips ,is that empty hand style ' kadena de mano'

  • great video, I just started training this system.

  • Awesome, thanks for uploading

  • welcome.... check my favorites for more.
