BSU got hosed. They move into the Mountain West and all the good teams move out and the good teams from the WAC follow them. After the 11-12 season it's going to be another WAC conference. BSU needs to be PAC-10 or 12 i suppose it is now.
Sorry BSU, but as an Oregon fan, I honestly cannot stand your team to save my life. That said, BSU is always near the top and you've gotta respect them for that.

I'm very happy with what Oregon's accomplished and if I were a Boise State fan I wouldn't have much to complain about either. I think BSU would've done better if they could've somehow gotten in the big 12, but it should be interesting to see what they do in a better conference.
@ovensleeper They are pretty far away to be in the Big 12. i think the PAC10 is a better bet. It's just annoying as a BSU fan to lose a game off two sub 30 yard field goals being missed and it drops you from the Rose bowl to the Maaco car care bowl. While Bama can loose 3 times and get the Capitel One Bowl and VT gets a BCS bowl even though they have 2 losses one of which was to Boise. I don't even want to discuss Uconn either, thats just straight up Bullshit them getting the Fiesta bowl.

They have the 12 teams they need for a conference championship plus I'm not sure if BSU fits the academic standards to be a pac 10 team, I'm not saying they don't so much as I'm not sure. The reason I mentioned the big 12 is because they've lost a lot of teams and if they want to maintain their championship they'll have to add a few teams whereas the pac 10 seems pretty content with a 12 team format.
@ovensleeper I know that, it's BSU's only real hope for a AQ conference due to them ebing to far astranged from any of ther other AQ confrences in terms of travel distance.
@ih8makinusernames The real case you should be pointing at is UConn getting in with 8 wins. There needs to be a 9 win minimum for BCS teams IMO. As far as Bama and VT, I'm not sure how to feel. VT won their conference and they're an AQ plus its not unheard of for a 10 win team to make a bcs bowl let alone a 9 win team but Bama probably shouldn't have gotten in (despite the win), no argument there, especially considering that they didn't win their conference.

@Riverweasel09 Utah is moving to the Pac-10 with Colorado to make it the Pac-12. If that weren't the case I would agree with giving the mountain west a bid, but without Utah it kinda becomes hard to justify sharing the revenue with them. It will be a fun conference to watch though.
I do believe we will officially be able to call the WAC full of castoff teams no one looks at in two years though. Boise moves next year to the MWC and then the following year Nevada makes its move there as well. Unless Benson is able to get them back, the WAC can forget about any nationwide recognition when thery're left with teams like New Mexico and Louisiana Tech. In good spirits though, at least Hawaii and Idaho will have chances at the conference title.

@301nova was reports last year that nebraska wanted to scedule boise...even agreed to play it at boise.boise passed on that for some reason. Utah came out of nowhere a couple years back and owned the crimson tide, while Boise went against a tough Oklahoma team, and they could have won by a lot more had it not been for the momentum killing fluke punt bounce. The Broncs would play tough against any opponent.

We've played tougher teams this season than the Smurfs from Boise have played in the past 2 or 3 years. And opening up against Georgia next year isn't that impressive either. They pretty much play 2 games a year, the rest are against weak schools that should be in D2 not D1..
Untill they play a season worthwhile they don't deserve a NC, I would rather watch a one loss LSU,Auburn or Alabama than an undefeated BSU.
BSU doesn't have to play hard week in week out, they get to play soft and easy.

@Riverweasel09 Utah is moving to the Pac-10 with Colorado to make it the Pac-12. If that weren't the case I would agree with giving the mountain west a bid, but without Utah it kinda becomes hard to justify sharing the revenue with them. It will be a fun conference to watch though.

I do believe we will officially be able to call the WAC full of castoff teams no one looks at in two years though. Boise moves next year to the MWC and then the following year Nevada makes its move there as well. Unless Benson is able to get them back, the WAC can forget about any nationwide recognition when thery're left with teams like New Mexico and Louisiana Tech. In good spirits though, at least Hawaii and Idaho will have chances at the conference title.

@301nova was reports last year that nebraska wanted to scedule boise...even agreed to play it at boise.boise passed on that for some reason. I have no problems with boise, im not a non bcs hater....it just comes down to this; boise might beat one or two solid teams each year, but they just dont play the talent week in and week out that stronger conferences do. i think boise is as strong as most teams, but lets be real..most of their schedule is teams that bsc schools warm up with.

Saben has the tide playing at an ungodly level. Second, for me, it looks probable that neither team will lose a game until they play each other, but for the conference experts, could we feasably see a conference title championship game between the two when they play in late November, with Nevada at 11-0 and Boise at 10-0?

@TheGatorFan01 The schedule might not be up to par with the brutal SEC, but you can't discredit the other teams just becuase they play in a different conference. Utah came out of nowhere a couple years back and owned the crimson tide, while Boise went against a tough Oklahoma team, and they could have won by a lot more had it not been for the momentum killing fluke punt bounce. The Broncs would play tough against any opponent.
