Personally, "comes into play" sounds better and makes as much or more sense to me as "enters the battlefield." I guess I'm biased and old. Also, to say "we do this only once every 10 years" is kind of silly since the game hasn't even reached it's 2nd decade yet.
I suspect many old folks will still use the traditional terms for a long time to come.
I just got here from the Official Wizards site... After making a quick search, I noticed that they didn't have any famous video about the new rules such as Damage that no longer goes to stack, the extinction of Mana burn ect...
So I was wondering if a relative video will be uploaded...
I live in the Northeast US myself. I guess when I say "Drah-gon" I mean more along the lines of the "ah" sound like in "apple" rather than the "ah" sound like in "father". :P
In my opinion, some of the new changes should've remained out of the game. Terms like "battlefield" aren't making the game in more fun. In fact, it demotes the game itself to things that a child would play. I'm also peeved that they got rid of the stack during the damage step. Getting rid of that seriously reduced the amount of tricks and shenanigans that can be pulled to turn the tables of a game. Once again, it dumbs down the game because it was "too hard" for some people to understand.
Its only fitting. Considering that the Deck is called Library and Discard Pile is Graveyard.
As for getting rid of the stack during the damage step - maybe I'll have more than four other players who can understand the rules around me now. It allows for less experienced players to not look like newbies. I started at Scourge, and still got treated like a newbie all the way up to Morningtide for not abusing these little tricks that M:TG is finally getting rid of.
NOT everything works the same way it did. The RFG was outside of the game, so the 'wishes' could pull things from there. Changing it to Exile is a functional change that brings that zone into the game, so one can no longer target cards in this zone with things like Ring of Ma'ruf. Outside cases that won't affect standard or new players, but certainly this is not merely a terminology change.
He reminds me of toby turner.

Never heard dragon being pronounce, and before I even posted I sent a few friends this video and they was like WTF?
Flayer69 2 years ago
Omg I fail, I left out some stuff. Never heard dragon being pronounce like that before.
Flayer69 2 years ago
He did not mispronounce the word. I've never heard anybody else say it other than "dray-gone"
Do people pronounce it like "Draw-gone", "Droh-gone" or something odd like that?
Hearttamashii 2 years ago
Some pronounce it like "drah-gone" (more specifically where I'm from), but I've never heard it pronounced "dray-gone" before. :P
SkieLuluMUGEN 2 years ago
Huh. If I heard someone say it "drah-gone" I would find it odd, so it makes sense that "dray-gone" sounds odd to others.
I live in the US, in the middle west. Could be an accent thing. Where do you live? England?

SkieLuluMUGEN 2 years ago
*shrugs* it really doesn't matter, as long as no one says "Droh-gun", which would sound rather odd to me ^^;
Hearttamashii 2 years ago
lol, I couldn't imagine ANYONE saying it like that. xD
