This had to of been around the 1986-1991 period. Dr Dre, Ice Cube, and Easy E had all broken up by the end of 1991 and Dre was doing some new shit with then new rapper Snoop Dogg.

Snoop was actually called Snoop Doggy Dogg, but he shortened his name sometime around 1995.
