  • i wish i could be better in this game because i dont win when they challenge me

  • I cant play can someone help Im stuck on trial 4 with ryu

  • What happened to fighting games? Why do I have to know bullshit like frame rates and animation cancel. What ever happened to pulling off the combo as fast as you can. I mean for fuck sake I can't even string 3 basic standing attacks together. Super Street Fighter Poor!

    Oh well, back to MK9.

  • @residentsicko may god have mercy on ur soul, tsk tsk

  • @residentsicko goes to show the ignorance in this world. learn to play :D

  • @residentsicko MK9's best combos require you to learn all that too o.o so regardless your still a noob. Plus fighting games have always been like that. back since the original SF and MK and watnot

  • Anyone else accidentally executing Shoryukens instead of Metsu Hadoken during combos?

  • I love how the metsu at the end doesnt do anything basically ;D

  • Im a hardcore marvel player and i find the transition very difficult. My biggest issue is link comboing. I understand the concept of letting the animation finish before pressing the next button but its so frustrating getting the timing down

  • A year after watching this video and I'm finally mediocre at the game. I needed to start somewhere, so thanks.

  • This shit ain't help

  • 18 hit Ryu combo including his ultra

Does less damage than Zangief hitting with just his ultra

  • this game is having a laugh at me rofl 1st time playing and easy looks like extremely hard XD any tips apart from putting the game away ? XD

  • @lauriux12 I play on easy and it could be well set to insane. I never win on Bison :P Got this game a few hours ago and I'm loving it. I just need to be good.

  • Helps nothing... This tut sux.

  • @yxarozda is very basic tut man.. theres ppl out there who dunno NOTHING about fighting games. Coz of lack of these tuts ppl xpend hard time discovering how to do it.

  • @Ma7uS1 Word bro and I've played street fighter since it existed, but this game is so stupid regarding combos, I hate that you have a perfect timing this isn't a mothaf**kin Shooting game. I land all my attacks sometimes faster than normal but it just won't give me the combo. Lol it's crazy and I play with akuma more specfically the problem I have is that the double kick on the ground into a Lp won't ever connect sometimes it does don't get me wrong. But assistance would be appreciated.

  • what the fuck!

  • How to use Ultra moves???

  • poor dan

  • agree, this game should at least teach u how to cancel and link,i was like wtf the first time i play and i had to go to youtube to search for solution

  • Wats better to play with, the direction pads, or the triggers

  • @andrix20101 A fightstick :P

  • @andrix20101 or fightpad

  • it's so stupid that this game doesn't have an ingame tutorial

  • @yukmsacierzorro Because you have to practice to get good, no tutorial will teach you how to beat the best players because they all have different tactics.

  • @jlawton22 that's like not telling someone the rules of chess 'cause they have to find their own strategie.

they don't even tell you which button does what nor how to use your special bar.

  • @yukmsacierzorro It does actually it has the move list for every character on training mode.

  • @yukmsacierzorro it has! it's called challenge/trial...reading each stage's description gives you a hint to the execution of moves. (at least in sf4 vanilla) but you're right...they should've done some kind of tutorial or implement video's explaining those basic mechanics of the game.

  • @L0lP0j0 I'm not going to lie.. I have a hard time connecting links as well. I can only do simple 3-4 hit bread and butter combos.

  • @L0lP0j0 Nope... YOU SUCK! =P

  • how you know which combos r link/cancel?

  • in tekken 6, its all about pressing the button fast.

  • @lowhigh000 Button mashers usually lose to people who know actual combos in tekken. It's also a 3D fighting game and the best 3D fighting game.

  • thanks... now, to practice with this knowledge and I bet I'll view this vid for many times, so I'll be subscribing.

  • Thanks for the quick info, it helped.

  • I'm a big fan of Tekken, but I love Street Fighter as well.. so I'll definitely be back here when I've bought it to learn some stuff so I don't /completely/ suck! :D

  • I just bought it on 3ds and i'm so bad

  • @jjysoserious Same here!

  • @jjysoserious Same here lol.

  • @jjysoserious i bought it to i keep trying to go online but i get someone that freaks out on all the lite buttons and i cant move

  • @jjysoserious

iv just ordered it for 3ds, could u give me some tips, like how to do moves, the combinations & stuff

  • @jjysoserious I just got it yesterday! It's my first SF game and my gosh is it different from the games i've played before... can't wait to get better though.

  • I thought he said, "This is monkey shit."

  • the fucking words are too small to see what the fuck the action buttons are that i need to push in the command list. Fuckin sick of this shit, every goddamn game i buy has small fucking letters.

  • @StuBackbreaker26 Its because video game makers are punishing you for not having a really expensive brand new TV.

  • @stgm its not even just games though. Everything is getting smaller, dont they realize that eye sight gets worse as you age? Its all about small and tiny now. I wouldnt be surprised if we lose 3 states due to an explosion by a micrchip sized warhead from a fuckin suicide bomber.

  • Thanks! One of the first tutorials on YouTube without a really annoying narrator!!

  • SFIV and 2D-games gameplay is a lot harder than Tekken and other 3D shit guys seriously... I used to play Tekken 2, 3, Tag, DoA, Soul Calibur etc and, the combos was actually pretty easy to do with any characters.

Then I discovered 2D fighting games, KOF98, Garou : Mark of the Wolves, Street Fighter Zero, Street Fighter 3.3, and the difficulty was juste A LOT harder than Tekken to make combo, especially in Garou, where timing is crazy.

All the big tournament are made for 2D fighting games.

  • @Jiniisama hell yea. i can pick up TK6 or SC4 right now and do every combo in the game w/o breaking a sweat. doing combo's in SF4 is ridiculously hard. timing is insane in this game. but i love the difficulty

  • These ppl below must wanna get eddy spammed

  • Thanks For The Information Dude. Learned the shory-FADC-metsu Thumbs Upp! :D

  • Agree with Toon, Tekken combos are so fucking crazy especially those ten hit ones- you have to factor in counter blocking and shit and the timing must be spot on. The timing part is ridiculously hard to pull off since you need to know exactly when to hit the next button as the time allocated for each punch and kick is different and thus requires an in-depth knowledge of the character's moveset as well as lots of practice.

  • @Rythesis tekken combos are alot easier to get off than these

  • Street fighters combos are as simple as they get, the hard ones are Killer instinct and tekken

  • @ToonSxO lmao tekken combos are easy......and lmao juggles in tekken are so ridiculous....

  • @lucirz O.o your fucking high, iv COMPLETELY mastered Ling Xiayo, Howarang, Raven, Feng Wei and Lars Alexanderson

that shit is NOT easy, on ANY street fighter game im a beast because the combos are so simple, you cant do half the shit you do on tekken while playing street fighter, street fighter is a 2d platform fighting game, tekken in a 3d environment fighting platform, i cant believe you said tekkens comobs are easy lol

  • @ToonSxO Although some are easy some are just bastards to do. Whats more being able to do a combo in tekken or any fighting game isn't enough, you have to be able to use them in battle, which is a lot harder (especially with that overly complicating cunt yoshimitsu).

  • @vikeyev1 but yeah, i have tekken and street fighter 4, iv played every tekken game made, and i just recently picked up SSF4 today and i was killing people on it. but the last KI game they made was killer instinct 2, i heard Rare was going to make a new one, but microsoft owns rare so it would be an exclusive to xbox 360

  • @ToonSxO ahh killer instinct, that was a legendary game, have they made any new ones? what is the most recent version, last time I heard of the game was years ago.

  • How to get those costumes

  • ex focus cancel so is it executed when u chain up a combo or when u do not press triangle and circle and instead pressing something like l2

  • Guys how do you make a replay?

  • Comment removed

  • Also nice pun at the end :3

  • 2:28 to 3:05 holy effin bejusus!!!!!

  • i`ve done a 21 hit combo with ryu using the full super meter to focus cancel into another combo!

  • i`ve done a 21 hit combo with ryu using the full super meter to focus cancel into another combo.

  • i cant do combos ! i press that button and nothing happens ahhhhhhhhhh

  • good video for noobs you explained it all well

  • i just need to know what each sign means what in the command list part

  • How is the fire haoduken done? EX move or something?

  • @ThePLASO Yea

  • LOOK AT 2.14, WHEN HE DOES THE UPPER CUT BUT DONT GO IN THE AIR,HOW DO YOU DO THAT, CAN SOMEONE TELL ME PLZZZZZ LOL

  • @MrDancalvin1983

That's called Focus Attack Dash Cancelling or FADC for short.

When you do the uppercut, the moment it hits you have to press focus attack, then quickly dash out of. This cancels the move and makes for some bigger combo opportunites. It's hard to master at first but you get the hang of it. You have to be quick... the moment it hits, focus > dash...

  • @simplelife88393 ohh man thanks broo ,,respect ;-)

  • @MrDancalvin1983 oh yeh,is focus dash,when u do the uppercutt,u press bk bk fast

  • @MrDancalvin1983

Forgot to mention, it costs 2 bars of your super meter at the bottom. If you don't have at least 2 you cant focus cancel.

  • i want to know is, how do you do a uppercut with ryu, but dont go in the air?

  • awesome

  • i loved EX2 !

  • I love this game even though i completely suck its just a game that tells me that i need to get better

  • im trying my fucking hardest and i still dong get it, please help me????

  • @iTwiGGz Patience. Anger and frustration will get you nowhere. Just study and practice the combos. Soon you'll be putting together 14 hit combos and quit the tough opponent. Don't let anger cloud your concentration. That doesn't just go for these video games.

  • this game's fighting system sucks badddd!!!! this game is made for dudes with fingers injected with tonnes of steroids and super human speed.

  • not really... lol i did have problems first but practice makes perfect :)

  • @NintendoStar01 mmmm, i guess u're right. but i think my controller have to do with it also. i'm using a Generic USB controller as a substitue to the xbox 360 controller. sucks on my side.

  • then that might be the problem lol

  • I have officially shipped this game back to game fly good riddance!!

  • @Luistador don't blame the game, blame the user. SSF4 has sold over 1.25 million copies world wide. the street fighter series is the most successful fighting game franchise ever. try super smash bros.

i was gonna offer to play you to see if i can offer some pointers and help, but unfortunately, you returned it.

  • i swear it doesnt matter how many times i play and practice i still suck at this game, i think this game ruined all fighters for me

  • hmm.. i only got 14hits wit ryu i must train ....but seriously that combo at the end of the vid shoulda took more than wut it did

  • @ddarkreturns damage output decreases with more hits in a combo.

  • @deepskye i know i know im jus sayin...

  • beign a complete and utter novice at SF in general... this helps :), thanks dude

  • You're the man. Thanks for uploading this vid for people like me, who grew up the whole time Street Fighter was popular but didn't start playing til Super Street Fighter 4. I'm trying to get better and learn combos for several characters, but it's not a noob friendly game (if you want to be competitive).

  • you know whats funny its so hard to apply these combos on xbox live no matter how much youve perfected them in practice mode

  • @channelin play harder! the moments do occur in games where u can apply these, i admit some r just flashy n not worth the hassle but hey thats up to the player. keep trying im sure u will get there!

  • This is extremely useful to start intermediate fighting. if you already dominate the basic moves this is your next step.

  • that last combo was hot, but the scaling on the metsu made it really not worth using the ultra.

  • i am a noob at this game :/

  • The game looks awesome! And I love the new look but the animation cancels and the Focus attack is garbage. It takes away from the game and It is not the traditional Street Fighter style. I have played Street Fighter for years and find it very cheap to cancel fireballs and to cancel animations. The Balance has been destroyed and I'm going back to Turbo HD.

  • @tyreew2 u realize this game came out awhile ago right?

  • Whatever!

  • A joystick is not needed to be pro, its just people preference lol, cause I get owned by controller players too Q.Q

  • i feel like its pretty complicated to put most of the combos together, but that what it calls a challenge and its all abt that in that kind of games :)) good luck and i will kill u if u try to play with me ;) good luck again :))

  • Im gonna play tekken that game makes sense.

  • @wesgrossAV

yeah you go do that, get out of here, this is for people who like interesting and revolutionary games

  • @channelin How is this game revolutionary and this is not intresting it gives me a headache. Dumbass.

  • @wesgrossAV

its revolutionary for reasons which i can not express to the uneducated.

    like i said fuck off.

  • @channelin Uneducated, little bitch your the one talking shit on youtube. Grow your own dick and get off mine I wasn't even talking to your ass in the first place ya basterd.

  • @wesgrossAV

    fuck off

  • F**K this! i going master this game dammit!

    *plays ssf4*

  • @MEGAGUY21 It'll be tough alone.

  • @AnBearX

    what do you mean?

  • @MEGAGUY21 You could play against the computer on the hardest difficulty for a year and not learn a single thing... You can't take online seriously becuase people will abuse lag issues and spam moves. You'll get bad habits. So, you have to find people who are good and are local. Then you'll be on the road.

  • @AnBearX well there goes my two main ways to get better out the window...

and i don't know anyone who around my area who knows how to play so.....

CRAP! well at least i got is this tutorial! better then nothing right?!

  • 360 controller sucks

    PlayStation controller ROCKS

but it could have 6 buttons in stead of 4 on front making it ultimate controller.

  • I See ..

  • I am sooooo far away from being able to do that last combo. Practice time....

  • i think the canceling combo is called the linked combo, and the linked combo here is called the chain combo. aren't they?

  • @Barryms0083 Canceling is exactly what the video creator stated. Basically, you cancel an animation. For example, Ryu can cancel his shroyuken (dP) into his super. Linked combos are timed combos after the end of an attacks animation. For instance, Zangiefs cr.jab, cr.jab, cr. jab, st.lk to ex- green hand. Chain combos are combos that you can tap out into,as Zangiefs standing or cr. jabs (lp) into standing medium punch or standing short. In chain you can mash out the jabs but not connect specials

  • Tried this game out for the first time today, and... I just don't understand any of these sorts of games I guess. Way too complicated for a simpleton like myself playing Smash Bros. Wish I could see someone do these moves so I could actually try them.

  • @Tyrnn begin by mastering the simple game do the hadokens hurrican kicks and dragon punces and punch kick combos slowly build your skill up you have to remember lot of these expersts have been plying since fs2 or alpha days so they have more experience so dont be put of by these advanced moves.

  • salut

  • didnt get a word of this i seriously need help with this game...

  • Hey! good tutorial and amazing last combo!

  • Do these vids apply to SSFIV as well?

Just starting from square 1 since the last SF I played was SF EX Plus Alpha on the PS1. This is my first time playing SF after 7 to 10 years, so I'm practically clueless on how the new system works.

    Thanks.

  • @weichiang

    Yes it does

the differences is some of the moves in Ssf4 for the old characters change a little but it's the same

    like ryu

m shoryuken now does 2 hits and I think it didnt in the old game

  • Very nice :D!

  • i didnt like sf4 much but these tutorials will help me like it more because i wont suck

  • Hey man, loved your vids. i have only one complain. english is not my native language so i noticed that you talked too fast. if you could just slow a lil bit down in your next vidz then that would be great.

once again great vid, thumbs up.

  • da hora!!!!

  • Thanks for the great series, it helped me a lot.

  • Great video - nice to hear someone explaining this in plain English.

  • Thanks for taking the time to put this together - very helpful

  • just to clarify, is it only possible to chain a normal to a special attack? like you can't do like a normal then to another normal right? and can you chain almost any special after a normal atk or is there only certain ones?

  • man when i was a kid all i did was play the computer. a sufficient way to dominate the computer in ssf2 for example is to spam hadokens and shoryukens. thats pretty much how i grew up playing and so far i know nothing about these combos. this is all so hard! linking combos seems impossible! anyone got any pointers? i feel like no matter how much i practice i just cant get any better at this...

  • Fuck I must avoid this guy

  • get a fightstick its the only way to pull off hard combos.

  • this guy is fucking pro!

  • "Thanks IV watching"

    OH YOU.

  • @Spo8

    I lol'd

  • I need some help...I am a newcomer to fighting games so I picked up SSFIV, I started out with the Training Modes but I can't pull off combos. I am using a Arcade Fight Stick and I cannot pull off combos requiring the joystick to rotate, for example most characters have uppercut moves and I can't throw my stick to the right and roll it upwards, the move does not come through. Is this something I must practice? Also, what must I do when there is one stick rotation and three punches/kicks?

  • @XxTarkenxX Dont worry about it buddy!! Ill give you a tip. Relax, learn a simple characters moves like ryu. (btw I am new too, just got it yesterday and I haven't won 1 battle.. XD) Read your pamphlet because it shows the characters moves and how to do them. I would suggest using a controller for a bit.

  • @Anthony883 Yeah I figured that much, I've been playing it for several hours and a majority of my time has been in Challenge/Training Mode lol and yes I've been finding more sucess in completeing my moves with characters such as Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and etc. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it...thanks for the tip. = )

  • great video dude. very informative and well edited.

  • this game is shitter. E.honda is shit on street fighter 4. On hd remix i kill u all by a handslap. In this game he's a sissi. Capcom u fucked up my character u bitchis.

  • I'm just curious which one is better... an arcade stick or a controller. Is a stick better in the long run?

  • @TheYondaimeHero For the serious Street Fighter, nothing compares to the power of an arcade stick.

  • is it hard playin this game using the xbox 360 controllers d pad?

  • So cancelling is pretty much buffering in sf terms?

  • very comprehensive, thx.

  • where the hell is episode 3?

  • how to activate blue ball

  • I used to be a fan of fighting games but playing them online dont work for me, plus almost everyone i play is a freakin beast at this game, i fought a balrog dude once and i couldnt block anything, so i bid guile and ryu farewell twas fun but ill stick to fps, tired of getting my ass kicked.

  • sorry if this was already said or shown, I might've missed it. I'm trying to do a challenge ( not really important ) and I need to cancel out of down forward punch into his super df, df punch. How the heck?! I'm guessing my timing is just off, but maybe someone could enlighten me. I'm doing abels normal challenge. trial 4 i think. ty

  • I can't believe the noobs still don't realise how important link combos are,

this is why I still go back to SF2 every now and then for a challenge because the game is much more older than SF4 is, so their are more decent players on average there than their is on SF4

  • Thanks for the tutorial. Hopefully it will help me against people that I recommended the game to and are now better than me because all they do is play Street Fighter when I have a life of my own.

  • @Lrdvltr

    u mad

  • @Lrdvltr he mad

  • COMBO TIME!!!!

  • how do i get into that practice mode on the pc where it shows you the list of moves that are part of the combo?

  • Challenge something like that

  • Challenge Mode then TRIAL normal or TRIAL hard.

  • @knicksnyhouston what ever button is start so ESC?
