  • ★★★ SAVE THE HONEY BEES ★★★

  • We don't need funding to find ''a'' solution. We have ''a'' solution right now. It's just that it's not ''the'' solution that the farmers and pesticide manufacturers want to hear.

Stop using toxic pesticides to spray your crops and stop importing foreign species into ecosystems which haven't evovled to deal with them.

Remember when Europeans imported that disease called smallpox which 1st peoples hadn't encountered before? That even more than the deliberate genocide killed most of the natives.

  • chemtrails

  • Try chemtrails that's the reason why ! colony collapse disorder ha ha ha ha sounds like a pharma advertisement . "CHEMTRAILS"

  • Chemtrails with aluminum and barium that is being spread in the sky from high flying jets could beeee doing it.

  • I used to think that Burt was only an image some marketer came up with. Nope, he's real, and he really looks like that.

  • woH BURT LOOKS KOOL lol

  • chem I mean con trails

  • BEE RAPTURE

  • Does anybody know what year this started happening? Has it slowly gotten worse over the years or did it just come on strong one year?

  • it started a couple of years back....but it gets stronger every year

  • It's been growing worse over years. I saw it on this one documentary on the planet green channel.

  • Is it b'cos of the parasite varoa that attack bees in their colonies?

  • nope

  • Everyone can help with this. I became a beekeeper this year and have two hives in my backyard in an urban area. Bees are very docile and haven't stung me or any of my neighbors. People should look into it because you are helping the bees and our food and you get sweet honey as reward. Message me if you are interested.

  • So a field of wild flowers flanked by sunflowers it seems (and this is just speculative based on what i saw) is kind of a death trap for honey bees.

  • We really need to pay a lot more attention to our world. It's not fun to be without my Honey.

  • The causes are very well known. Just like the causes of global warming are very well know. It's just that agri-chemical business makes a fortune out of selling products which poison bees and they don't give a fuck so long as they keep getting rich. Just like the oil men don't give a fuck about climate change so long as they are rich. Of course diseases play a part too but how can you fight off diseas when your immune system is weakened by poison? Farmers need to dump the chemical busniess now.

  • Colony collapse is also caused by industrial apiculture. Using bees to pollenate fields of whatever (almonds, melons etc.) is fine as that is what they do. But It's common place for a few bee colonies to be packed up, driven a few miles, used to pollenate a crop then packed up again. This leaves the bees (whose spacial relationships are as far as i know based entirely on triangulation between the hive, a field of flowers and the height of the sun in the sky) with no idea where the fuck they are.

  • Besides mites and pathogens that affect the population of bees people are really doing these little ladies a disservice. Even sunflowers. Completely harmless, an almost ubiquitous symbol of a carefree idyllic summer in the American countryside. i worked at a farmstand 2 summers ago and every morning when my co-worker brought the cut flowers in there would be at least a dozen bees dead or dying trapped in the viscous whatever it is that seeps out of the florets.

  • Chemtrail Collapse Disorder.

  • I love Burts Bees! and this is an excellent video ... 5 stars

  • well, I can testify that they make a diverse line of great products. All natural, or at more natural than pretty much any other brand in the respective category.

  • thanks my friend boxa888.I believe they are doing everything to destroy the bees n pollination w/ the genetically engineered foods.I had some old seeds this summer I planted the bees were all over my plants.then I bought some plants from Lowes. The bees wouldn't touch them. They only pollinated the old seeds I planted. I watched everyday. Somehow, we are being sold out. But why? Who is behind the curtain pulling the strings and why?

I'd appreciate any comments on this.

  • There are a few explanations of why this would happen but the best one I think is that the flowers that you planted before have higher quality nectar/pollen. Bees don't gather up everything, rather they pick and chose which flowers they forage by quality. Plant some Merrigolds or lavender from Lowes and see if they like those.

  • or we could always turn to macdonalds.

  • the main source of colony collapse disorder is the human pesticides. bayer has made pesticides which have wiped out 1/3 of the honey bees its really sad, big business destroying our food system again. if you raise a hive stay away from artifical pesticides. use natural pesticides like plant and cinamin oils, spiders, lad bugs. remember before industrial chemical companies farmers use to have mini gardens that were for making natural bugs like lady bugs and spiders to kill the pests,ALL NATURAL!

  • since we have been using genetically engineered plants, it seems like we've had this problem. i mean, it has a built in pesticide.

i have some old seeds that i planted and the bees are all over them, pollinating them, but the plants next to them, that i bought from a garden center, well, the bees won't touch them....

    you figure it out.

  • I agree. One of the solutions is to collect the seeds ourself. By time the plants restore the genetical information themselves. But the 'easy' way to buy everything is not always the best. I used to work as a gardener,I love plants, but I quitted because I had quite strong vision about all the negative aspects, that this kind of cultivation has. But we also have the big garden at home, where we are not using the chemicals. It also feeds the human soul...

  • YES look up what bayer has done, it has destroyed like 1/3 of gernman honey bees with its pesticides and plus the geneically modified shit is also destroying everything. its terrible what big business is doing to our food system. what they will do is destroy the honey bees and healthy food system and introduce a sick gm plant that doesnt need honey bees but will have to be bought every year, im sure their planning this look up the corrupt history of gm foods, its really sick, so many evil people

  • The hives are too close together, this leads to robbing.

Sometimes the hive that is being robbed will join with the hive that is robbing it.

Taking all infectons/mites with it.Leaving the hive it came from weak or empty.

    CDD looks like robbing???

  • The jobs of our representatives have been made redundant. They are of little use to us now. Lets save the Bees through direct action.

  • My apples are pollinated by wasps, so I don't need the honey bees.

BTW, how can we save the bees when we don't know where they are. It's like save a person from drowning but don't know where they are drowning. :(

  • Try crocodiles next spring . . . . . .

  • im off to go buy some more raid.

  • Once the bees in the USA have been eliminated, the agri-business companies probably already have a genetically-modified honeybee resistant to pesticides and cellphone signals, ready to be licensed to farmers at an exorbitant fee.

  • wow! the real burt looks just like the old guy on the packaging! not to be obvious or anything. but that just suprised me.

  • And to you sir.....I think our fuzzy planet is being destroyed from your useless soul existing and taking up space where another usefull human could be.So I suggest killing yoursself for the environment. So I dont get angered from the ideas of incompetence that are in great abbundance in your head you must kill yourself before you feel the urge to respond. I know the urge to resond after reading this is growing but please dont because no one cares as no one should care about what I just wrote3-:

  • This is terrible. I wonder wtf is happening to our precious fuzzy friends? 0.o

  • (GOOGLE) airborne depleted uranium molecules.

XILLIONS of them with the Sahara winds (Iraq) and from many places like Tracy, CA.

Sticky Bees catch them much faster than we do and die by disorientation.

One molecule inhaled is lethal for humans.

    -

If Iran will be attacked with this stuff huamanity has 3 generations left.

    -

Apperently Generals have no Children and presidents no soul.

  • What the fuck are you talking about? my god. shut the hell up. No one gives a flying horse shit.

  • And to you sir... FUCK YOU!

  • fire all the generals and leaders

  • No emails - no letters - It's spam to them

    No national million Marches . . .

Do just like Cindy did :

30 times 100 people at each private

    senator's door day & night

and make them believe it's (their last term and

    in shame)

    Is that so difficult.

Try to prevent bombing Iran with this stuff

    which will kill us all.

  • i'm off to garden

  • maybe if we stopped putting pesticides on everything they wouldn't die. pesticides kill insects don't they? duh, stop using them.

  • The causes ARE known. THEY control us. THEY don't care if we starve.

  • PLEASE tell me you're not some fucking conspiracy theorist. If you are, you just need to shut up right now. Trust me, nobody in the government has their own private little farm of bees that they've stolen from us. Got that? YOU are just angry because pot isn't legal.

  • holy shit a bag of seeds!!!!!!!1

  • I love you burt

  • btw - burt's bees is no longer owned by burt. It was sold to Clorox, a huge polluter perhaps even contributing to the very issue burt is asking us to care about.

Furthermore, clorox continues to unnecessarily animal test product. Therefore, the lovely lip balms and creams you buy at Whole Foods helps pay the torture and pain suffered by thousands of animals that just want to be little beings. did you ever think your money would go toward animal testing? Please take a stand - ban burt's!

  • This inspired to start a colony this summer. Does anyone have any tips?

  • yes..keep an eppy pen handy..lol..

  • Burts Bees lip balm is awesome I have braces so my lips get dry and they crack often especailly up here in Canada where it's really cold but thanks to burts bee lip balm I can worry no more about my lips cracking and bleeding all the time

    WE LOVE YOU BURT!!

    SAVE THE HONEY BEE'S!

  • I just put on some burts beez lotion and lip balm! lol... LUV IT! SAVE DA BEES!

  • Burt Shavitz didn't sell out to SOME LADY.

Roxanne Quimby is the reason that Burt's products were so successful. Burt would still be selling honey out of the back of his car without her. Eventually, however, it was time for them to both part ways, so Burt sold his part of the company and moved on to his own ventures, as did Roxanne. Now, Burt is advocating to help the environment.

    He's a bad mofo.

Problem @ Bayer, a company with strong ties to IG Farben

    google bayer aids

    google solar cross

Colony Collapse Disorder? Is that the same as Post-Traumatic Stress "disorder," or Anxiety "disorder?" It's natural to experience post-traumatic stress from a war zone. The trauma and stress isn't the disorder, the war zone is.

  • omg he's real!

  • burts hawt

  • they found the cause

    it's a virus from china

    we love you burt!

  • yay for Burt.

  • g-unit huh? like you and 50 and Dre and the whole posse is coming over this? nigga, i'm FROM LONG BEACH and I know the double-g personally, and he will spit on your grave after i'm done HANGIN YOU BITCH ASS with my fo' fo'

so go away while you can.

  • see you tonight around 4am, and we'll shoot it out...well you MIGHT get a shot in before i unload my AK. hear that? that's my me slipping my clip in, EazyE

  • I've lived in a rural area in SW Oklahoma for 6 years, Every year I've planted a small tomato and pepper garden

    This year I planted the following herbs too;

1 sweet and 2 spicy basil, 1 rosemary, 2 oregano, 1 fennel, 1 golden and 1 lemon thyme and Italian parsley.

I have a huge numbers of bees who are attracted to the fennel and the basils. The video changed my mind though. I'd planned on trimming/drying basil and now I'm not because bees are sill hitting the basil hard.

  • Obviously you must give some kind of shit since you watched part of the video and added such witty commentary.

Besides jerk face, I happen to give a shit since there are lots of fruits and vegetable which are pollinated by bees. Bless your little heart! After all, I do hope you won't miss your favorite food groups so enjoy french fries or the pickles they put on the dollar menu hamburger at McD's. Then I'll get to say "uh, who gives a shit" when you start bitching

  • Hey if you don't like the planet, you can just GET OUT!

Really. Try and find somewhere else to go when all the negative impacts we've made on this earth this Earth eventually render it useless.

  • When did he say anything about America?

  • omg its burt

  • i herd there is a fungis thats spreding from hive to hive killing out the bees

  • once again, everyone wants to blaim so micro-organism or virus or other pseudo-scientific claptrap bullshit for what we are doing with pesticides, GMOs, and short-term profits.

animals dont typically get sick unless they have compromised themselves somehow, or have been compromised by outside agents, or are just old and ready to go (which is taken care of by predators or fungus)

clearly these bees are somehow READY TO DIE already, and it's not hard to see why.

  • Burt looks like someone out of the 1800's or something. Oh, the bees, thats bad.

  • I'm soo going to buy out home depot's seeds

  • why Home Depot's seeds?

  • Hey, I've got an idea: Why don't we stop spraying pesticides all over everything that's green like there's no tomorrow, and instead use a combination of methods of pest control methods with pesticides as a last resort solution. It's called IPM (Integrated Pest Management) and the pesticide industry doesn't want anyone to know about it. Read "Silent Spring" by Rachel Carson

  • Burt is the man! Save nature to keep it healthy and fight against all those who harm our world.

  • oh by the way, i love your hand soap burt. citrus and ginger root is an excellent blend

  • they stung me also when i was 6, u dont see me crying like a b!%&h.

    their amazing creatures

  • lol

  • I saw 'The Bee Movie' last weekend and they actually ran this prior to the screening. Not sure if it was meshed in with the movie or if the theater I was at just happened to show it.

  • I saw it before the Bee Movie too.

  • come on children, i think we could all do better than sit using all this bad language and fighting...the bees are dying and so are the f'ing humans and everything else.

    go organic.

  • etherealducky, i want to say that its not just one disease, parasite, or pathogen that is killing them off. They find an assortment of diseases when they examine a dying hive. The idea is that they are weakened somehow (pesticides?) and a opportunistic organism comes along and finishes them off.

  • (repost)

well maybe i am being more specific. in australia and europe the bees are not effected by this disease, they have an immunity. but in the united states and surrounding areas they dont. as far as i know bees are not being affected as badly around the world as they are in the united states and surrounding areas.

  • Actually, its worse in some parts of the world than in the US. Parts of China actually no longer have them at all; they're totally gone. People are trying to pollinate manually with collected pollen in a jar and a feather duster to keep their fruit crops producing, but it doesn't work real well for them.

  • We need to stop acting like we don't know whats causing Colony collapse disorder. If you look at the facts, its obvious that the pesticides and genetically modified crops they are exposed to in commercial agriculture are KILLING THEM.

Companies like Baer chemical and Monsanto are fighting a P.R. battle to hide the truth from us.

They would be out of a business if people realized that spraying poison on our food might just be a BAD IDEA.

    *Sigh*

  • ahah burt

  • actually they already have discovered what the cause is. its not global warming. its actually a disease from other countries. there were a few articles up a few months ago.

but his right, we do need to save the bees

  • There's a virus that's been detected in every studied case of CCD, however, if pesticides weren't weakening the immune systems of bees, disorienting them, and causing them to be virtually exhausted, they might actually be able to combat the disease. CCD is thought to most likely be caused by a combination of factors, including a virus, pesticides, exhaustion, and possibly even a type of aphid.

  • well maybe i am being more specific. in australia and europe the bees are not effected by this disease, they have an immunity. but in the united states and surrounding areas they dont. as far as i know bees are not being affected as badly around the world as they are in the united states and surrounding areas.

  • i think us humans have a lot to learn here...a lot of the so-called "new diseases" we see, like "AIDS" (which isn't a disease at all) and cancer and others are affecting US for the same reasons of all the poisons the WE have put in OUR environment.

Burt is heartwarming, if only the world was populated by people like him.

this is also proof that capitalism isn't inherently bad, i think. can be a force for good just as easy.

  • i love you burt.

  • Burt, i'm not even gay and I dig your lip balm. Rock on man!

  • I'm so glad Burt is real. I love him and his bees.

  • ROCK ON BURT!

  • omygod ahhh its burt he looks scary lol

  • Odd for someone with the handle "FrizzHairShow" to say...

  • gee whiz. maybe if we spray more neurotoxins around and paraquat and...

it's too depressing. no one has the balls or the money to challenge them

  • Let all get together and fix this problem. Right now, i think awareness has to be the issue that comes into play. Great video

  • amen
