I absolutely LOVE the music in this level..it's so fucking evil sounding, and given the time of the game, reminds you of the Euro music that was in some of the Fulci and Argento movies of the day. Alone, with no other sound effects, it would make a great ringtone!

You is correct. Also, this game has one of the best soundtracks ever! And the background art is fantastic! I especially love the creepy forests and all the carcasses and intestines and stuff. It makes my heart happy and I laugh like a clown with glee.

I LOVE the music in this board..that sythesized bass with the nightmarish organ riffs as Rick crosses the river...it was VERY well done with the technology they had at the time.

It reminds me of the early 80's when they had some of those late night Euro-horror film commercials on TV with the MA-17 warning because of the violence in them.

It even sounds a little Goblin-ish too, come to think of it.

My top fave track from the entire Splatterhouse series is 'The Basement'. I love to transplant that music into gameplay videos with modern FPS games like Half-Life 2 and STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl. Sends thrilling chills down my spine now just as it did back in the day.

I never had the chance to play STALKER but I'm well aware of the game.

Half-Life 2 either..I never got to play though I have the disc for the '360. I did however get to beat the first one on my PC. I feel as if I truly missed something.

Maybe after I get done with "Darkest Of Days" I'll get back to the old stuff. I also need to get back to my RTS stuff like "Empire Earth" and "Stronghold."
