  • How much time do we have?

  • "How much time do we have?"

  • How you doing? -Better, now. T_T

  • yeah this ending super awesome.. this song got stuck in my head for a while

  • Great movie!

  • for some reason when she says how you doing i feel like she knows its jack an not just someone who looks like him

  • oh ... i like how he is relax on .. so comfotable

  • Is it me or does Keira's voice break slightly at 2.17, as if she's about to cry?

  • i didnt even notice this first time but she's wearing a nurses uniform :)

  • "Jean, you're gonna pass out one day smoking a cigarette and burn to death. Your daughter grows up living the same life you're living right now. And she misses you so much."

    Chills....

  • yeah, girls that look like her really work in shitty restaurants.

  • This touches my soul.

  • The universe is so vast that there is always a region where anything can happen. In his world he changed the outcome, even if the director of the movie said that this was not a travel time movie, however for the character it was true.

  • what really happens at the end... does he die... or is still alive... and where can i find the song in the background

  • @pumpkin22ifyify /watch?v=EFMeEQX1DKc&feature=related

    Gimme a bajillion dollars now

  • Far and away my favorite movie.

  • Is that the same girl that played Lydia in Beatljuice?

  • @nthnsome

No, that was Winona Ryder. They have similar facial features

  • Learn how to meet women naneedj.info

  • outstanding

this will be tucked away in the dark cupboard marked "Hollywood accidentally let this one sneak through"...... with Jacobs ladder, the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind and static....

see the americans can make great films, its just a tragedy that they dont do it more often, and when they do they bury it as if embarrassed by its intelligence...

    sigh.....

  • Just watched this movie and it was amazing.....but did he get to stay in that timeline at the end??

  • @247kendall nope , he is still in the jacket until he wakes up again

it doesnt show it but after the end she asks him

how much time do we have i think

  • @marcsoyeah incorrect - he died in his own time.

  • @hanksingle which is why he is still in the jacket

  • @247kendall yes he did.. thats the best part of it!!

  • @ellibanesable was he alive in the end of the movie????

  • Love this movie and this ending~~ one of my favorite movie of all time!

  • Her voice is so much easier on the ears when she speaks with an american accent, her normal/british one is so annoying.

  • @ShaynaSmee

What would you think if the accent were to be a hybrid - a little bit American, and a little bit British?

There are lots of British accents, its her Estuary accent that you (and lots of other people, though not myself) find annoying.

  • @ShaynaSmee listen, Im not british so I can say this, how can you like "american" accent, its nasal, (wee weee weee) sound, compared to a sensual british. People around the world are used to american accent because of hollywood brainwash, plus they usually use british accent to depict villians. Im southamerican and I love british accent, its just so much superior, funny, stylish and classy than american. In fact, american accent is to me a symbol of mediocrity.

  • فيلم جميل جدا

  • HAHA i love her in this movie just for the sole reason that her character is very different. <3

  • absolutely love this music!

  • The mountain in the back ground looks very much like Mont St-Hilaire in Quebec...I am very curious and will go check for filming locations!

  • just say .. WOW

  • THANKS FOR SPOILING THE WHOLE MOVIE. I HATE YOU.

  • @snarfalopogus Well then why the hell did you watch it??!?!?!

  • @snarfalopogus hahahaahah

  • what is the title of the music in the background?

  • still one of the best movie endings so far....

  • 4 minute warning - radiohead

  • esta buena la movie 5 stars

  • what is the backround music when she drives up to him and it is also all through the film.

    what is it?

  • I believe it is called "Fleeting Smile" by Brian Eno, which is an adaption of Objects in Space - 76, by Sidottu.

I like it, it very much sets the romantic tone of the film.

  • @conspiracytheorist77 can i buy this on itunes?

  • @conspiracytheorist77

Andy Tubman of The Jane Doe's - Quiet Inside

    4 sure ^^

  • Andy Tubman of The Jane Doe's - Quiet Inside

  • @conspiracytheorist77 fleeting smile is actually by Brian's brother Roger, and can be found on Music For Films VOL 3. (still beautiful)

this track, by Brian, is referred to as Love Theme and unfortunately has not been officially released.

  • @breebreenub 76 - Sidottu, arguably the hardest song to find in the whole universe. Do not go looking for Brian Eno, he wrote a different part of the score that is often incorrectly attributed to the music you are talking about.

  • @breebreenub

David Arnold (Feat Iggy Pop) - We Have All The Time In The World

  • @breebreenub

David Arnold (Feat Iggy Pop) - We Have All The Time In The World

    or

Andy Tubman of The Jane Doe's - Quiet Inside

one of two had to be ;)

  • i'm alittle confused at the end, she drives past him as if she doesn't know him as happened at the beggining, but then at the end asks how much time they have as if she understands the predicament due to the previous encounters>>

  • That was a line spoken in a previous scene - I'm not sure it had anything do with the character's cognizance of him in that end scene, I thought of it more as a matter of trying to sum up the film. It IS confusing. We need a director's commentary, but alas, even those are not always illuminating, and one is not included on the DVD, although the documentary is interesting and there are three alternate endings included. I would also like to see this film on Blu-ray sometime.

  • @conspiracytheorist77 The director had absolutely no answers. He said himself that he doesn't know what the movie is about, except that it isn't about time travel. He basically said it is left to the viewer's imagination, which is a pretty weak explanation imo.

  • @conspiracytheorist77 I just figured that line was used again at the end to coincide with the credits song.

"How much time do we have?"

...We have all the time in the world...

  • Very under-rated film.

And a great performance from Daniel Craig.

  • the ending was too corny but still a great movie

  • i love this movie

  • OMG when i feel the darkness swallowing me up, taking me in and im paralyzed by fear and suffering, this movie helps me see a bright sunrise in the darkest night. You always have the power to make a difference, dont let fear hold you back.

  • This was such a unique film with top-notch performances. Adrien Brody and Keira Knightley should appear in another film together; their chemistry is top notch. :)

  • such a brilliant movie on so many levels... i love it :)

  • While this film, "takes place" in Vermont, hence the lisence plates, the film was actually filmed in Scotland

  • there r some holes in this film.. like why would she know him?

otherwise i enjoyed its sadness and overall darkness.. the score was great.. & it is impossible to take ur eyes off of her..

  • one of my favourite movies... perfect ending!

sometimes it even makes me cry.

  • astral travel

  • I really wish I could have this song, I've always thought it was awesome.

  • This movie was great. Really deep and the ending was perfect.

  • It was a mediocre movie, but the acting and music were both exceptional.

  • i think this is the best movie Ever !!!

  • this movie is so great. i also like him in the the dummy

  • This movie is a little disturbing and freaky to think of being in that position yourself but very good. I can watch it every time it's on.

  • I like psychologically obscure movies like this, I watched it three or four times in a row. Adrian Brody, K Knightley, and Daniel Craig were spectacular.

  • God this movie is great, I cant get enough of it. Anyone seen The Machinist??

  • I love this movie if dad it in dvd a think it the movie will never stop seeng lol

  • omg i love keira!!! it's so amazing how she totaly sounds american!!! i never thought she could do an american accent so good!! it somes through a little but still amazing and she is gorgeus!!!!!

  • Gorgeous, but not as much as Jessica Alba, huh? ;) Actually, I saw a photo of Keira once in which I thought she looked quite a bit like Alba.

  • Omg u love Jessica alba too?? I love both of them so much!!! they are both amazing actresses and quite beautiful!!! yeah i think i've seen that photo too!! haha they do look somewhat alike!

  • A masterpiece, one of my favorite movies. Along with Vanilla Sky, another masterpiece. These two movies are MUST SEE

  • ok, this is freaky. i literally just finished watching vanilla sky and for some reason thought of this movie.

  • lebt der jetzt in der zukunft weiter oder was ? oder ist der am ende wieder zurückgebeamt worden und in seiner dimension gestorben ?

  • damn, not Seinfeld! What the

  • This isn't Seinfeld. I want my money back (and my dignity)

  • Great film !

  • her voice changed, from the deep one to this somewhat higher voice, show how great of an actress she is!

  • Whats the song at 0:35 and it goes through the whole scene ?

    The sad sad song

  • That's a tune from the "Jacket Soundtrack" by "Brian Eno".

  • This is a great film, And Vanilla sky with tom cruise is similar to this..

  • Comment removed

  • she is so..damn..hot

  • I think that her accent is amazing. I've lived in america my whole life, and I would have never guessed she was actually british. Anyways, amazing movie. One of if not my favorite movies.

  • Prymer55 check out Vanilla Sky starring Tom Cruise, its a great movie.

  • Vanilla Sky great movie. It's ending is also on par with this movie, very dreamy. It took me forever to find the end song in that by Sigur Ros.

  • Yeah.. the first time i heard that song while I was watching the movie i kept saying to my girl: what a beautiful song, what a beautiful cinema moment there!.. It took me also a while to find out what song it was since it didn't came on the original soundtrack out.

  • so does she (the one shown in the ending) know Jack or no?

  • i took it as she kinda has deja vu of what'd happened. the artistic way the sun comes up makes me think that its like a lightbulb going off in her head, that she suddenly starts remembering...or at least id like to think she was. Its such an amazing film :)

  • *the science of sleep*

    i mean, haha

  • this movie is one of my favs for sure.

i love abstract non-fiction movies like this.

the whole sense that this couldnt happen but at the same time it plays on the imagination that it could because it seems so similar to our own fantasies is phenominal. i love movies like this and the eternal sunshine of the spottless mind or the science of dreaming. if anyone has any suggestions for movies of the same, id love to hear them!

  • Yeah, her American accent, it's not bad.

  • Only thing is, I think she relied more on the nasal quality of the American accent rather than how we actually pronounce stuff.

Still, passable. I just get thrown off because I'm so used to hearing her use her English accent.

  • her american accent is okay. everytime i see her face though i expect to hear the british accent, so i guess its hard getting used to.

  • that first song playing in the background is "quiet inside"

    by andy tubman

excellent but sad ass song =D

this movie is fuckn awesome by the way

  • can someone explain the ending? cause im really bad with these sorta things! i dont get it??

  • Nash, did you see the entire film? Cause it's kinda confusing to explain only the ending...

    [SPOILER]

Anyway, he can travel in time.. Almost in the end, he fell and injured his head (that's why he has blood in his neck); Then, when is almost dying, he travel to this time, where he find Keira, and start to fade away, while dying in the past due to blood loss. Hope you get the picture, if you didn't see the movie, you should!

Oh and sorry for my English =\

  • yeah i watched it all but i was like 14 or 13 and im not da brightest guy lol!! but thanks man!! it makes a lot of sense now!! thanks mate!

  • They both are excellent! And music..

  • WHOA!!! She's really good with the american accent...GO KEIRA!!!!!!!!

  • I agree, although watching this movie a dozen plus times, you begin to easily hear her English accent slipping through. It happens about 3 times in this scene alone.

  • Must be a pure moron,to call this movie "mediocre".

  • This is a Great Film. I think its similar to Wrist Cutters, which the name turns alot of people off, but that movie was also Great!

  • this is an excellent movie. i'd hardly call it medicore.

  • bu sahne bi başka duygusal. müzikle birleşince unutulmaz bir video kalıyor aklımızda

  • this movie is about self sacrifice in a way. in the end it was more important to save her then himself. he caught a glimpse of the changes he made in her life. you can see this when she drives by and he smiles.

  • i so so love this movie.

    and this scene is wonderful.

    especially the music.

    it kills me.

ive seen this scene a million times && it still makes me cry lol

  • Yeah, I wouldn't call this film mediocre... I thought it was fantastic.

  • Most beautiful woman in the world.

  • One of my Favorite movies of all time

  • what song is playing when keira gets into the car?

  • The song is the main theme that Brian Eno composed for the film. He's one of the guy who produced the album Joshua Tree (U2). and He's also the guy who made the Windows jingle when you start your computer!

  • So what actually happened?? this movie was a bit confusing.. very interesting.. but confusing

  • *Spoiler* He develops the ability to go forward in time while in the straight jacket.

Meeting the little girl that grew up sad as well as others he knew from the mental institute. He then uses the knowledge he finds out in the future(2007) to help those same people in his own time (1993).

He then arranges to be put in the jacket as he is dying so he can permanently go to the future to start afresh with Jackie. Got it?

  • Either that or *spoiler* it was all a dream/hallucination after he was shot in the war or later when he was in the box and none of it really happened.

    Just another interpretation.

  • Cool movie and Keira is so beautiful. One of my favorites actresses.

  • so cuteee!!!!!

    i luv keira's american accent!

  • Strange to hear Keira talking with an American accent, but loved this vid!=)

  • How can you think this movie is mediocre? It has a deep and interesting story line, and it twisted, and a romance at the same time. What more do you want?

  • i cried ;( at the ending

  • i'm optimistic, i think he lived :) also im cheesey, i think he lived happyily ever after :D

  • he dies, dead as a doornail. but thats the beauty, isn't it? he got save the life of the girl he loved.

  • I talked with you a year ago or so....just remembering I still love her

  • i love it xd

  • cambio mi forma de ver la vida, gracias por hacer este tipo de peliculas.

  • extremly effictive

  • what's the name of this song plix? omfg

  • Roger Eno - Fleeting Smile.

  • OMG! HAVE YOU SEEN THE ALTERNATE ENDING ON THIS?!!! It showed the end just like this. Then the screen went black then you hear...From Becker "Jack, can you hear me?" THen he wakes up in the drawer and starts screaming. I thought it was kinda cool.

  • Her accent could be better.

  • The guy died in the drawer. The reason he wanted to get putted back while his skull was broken was simply because he had to check if his letter had any effect on the future (which it had). He knew he would die and the light at the end represent him leaving the world physically.

  • molto bello.......profondissimo......

  • Mediocre? I freakin loved that movie!

I have no idea why, I just did! Very well acted, and Keira Knightley looks beautiful in it. And the ending just leaves me breathless

  • I couldn't help loving this movie. It left me hopeful. Believing in beauty, and the melding of things temporal and eternal.

  • it's fantastic, marvellous!

  • shit...i find her freaking attractive with the american accent...

  • great movie

  • She is very cute

  • the guy's alive, never did die - "i slipped, but i'm alive". power of love baby!

  • Also important-she asks "How much time do we have?' and the ending song is "We have all the time in the world'

  • Definitely my favorite movie. I really don't think he died at the end. The power of love transcends all! Even time! He moved through time before-why not again? Everytime he died he was able to travel, that's why they put him back in at the end-and why he appeared before her with the same injury-and why he has an empty grave in 2007. I love this movie, I have it on DVD, seen it about 8x. This is the kind of movie they should be making more off.

  • Also, no I don't think she recognizes who he is-though she subconciously feels him to be very familiar. Even if he imagined, fabricated all of this in his mind-which evidence points otherwise-Life is just a dream

  • she is so gorgeous

  • I realy love this movie, but in real life, they never cames back ... That's what i think, and i'am not happy to think & saw it, not at all..

  • ES LO MEJOR!!!

  • Great movie. However, one question, does she recognize him in this scene?

  • She does recognize but only from back when she was little i guess. And i think he dies at the end, would make sense (:

  • He changed what happened. She does not remember all the things from when he was going back and forth. He changed it and ended up back where he started the first time. But there is a sense of fate she feels that this is the right thing.

  • This film is confusing but I get it now.

  • i love this fuckin movie

  • Me too

  • can somebudy tell me what happen at the end. coz he dead but im not sure is he stay alive in the future

  • Does anyone know who does the music for this scene? As everyone says its roger eno - fleeting smile but it's not. Brilliant film.

  • Sidottu - Objects in Space

  • I dig any movie with a Tom Waits song.

  • You forgot the last line! Kiera says,"How much time do we have?"

Man that last line is just an incredibly fantastic ending. The music is so simple yet so deep.

  • Roger Eno - Fleeting Smile <--- it not like the soundtrack in the film .. i prefer the song in the film ..

  • waw waw waw

  • "Yeah yeah. I slipped but I'm alive..." This was one of the deepest movies I've seen in a while, yeah definetly cried a bit with the sunlight at the end... A must see

  • I liked it too, but is he dead and that's like his spirit, that part isn't too clear for me.

  • No, he is alive. He managed to do what he had to do and change her life so he got away i guess.

  • I think he died at the end, but I'm not too sure. He was happy he got to go and see he changed her future. Either way it's a fantastic movie. :D

  • thats his last moment...he dies in the drawer after this "trip"...and i think she knows who he is, cause the last line in the movie was "how much time do we have". she prob read the letters he wrote when she was younder and looked him up...

  • this whole thing is very debatable. I like to think that he lived. When she said "How much time do we have" The ending song is "we have all the time in the world" So i think he lived. Idk.

  • I think the meaning behind Keira asking how much time do we have, she was noting on how short life is and how it could end so suddenly. The song represents his ability to go into the future, so he could save her from a sad, unwanted life.
