  • Did you use any ND filter?

  • miniature effect on the 7D?

  • Is that the miniature affect for the shot of the elephants at what I guess is the Jaipur Fort?

  • the song is 10000 times much better than your video, good though

  • A lot of beautiful clips! The color grading is lovely, did you use any plugins in FCP?

  • Geoffrey: I liked the video but not the concept. Why all foreign directors or artists are always interested to show the poor part of India?

  • @MrPaniji What did he show that was bad? (I'm Indian as well-Karnataka) He films some scenes and put it together? What should he just film a bunch of call centers and put that together?

  • Awesome video. Excellent choice of music.

  • nice video but bad music......

  • Excellent work geoff..

  • I want to go there next year!

  • Beautiful! Brings back memories of earlier this year.

I started in Delhi, then Agra, then 2 weeks in Jodphur teaching English and back down to Delhi via Pushkar.

  • Nice vid!!! I am waiting for part 2!

  • i got a 5d mark ii. did you use colour setting in camera or have you done the colour correction in post processing?

  • just out of curiousity what color correction program did you use? this really looks outstanding.

  • nice ! and for color correction ?

  • is it me or is this quite glitchy? It seems to me the camera aint so hot when handheld

  • @ :26 that shot looks like something right out of a movie....i'm debating should i get this camera or the 5d mark ii and have no food on the table LOL.

  • @DYONYCIS I'd go hungry for a while if it meant getting a 5Dmk2

  • @pixuma 7 d is better for filming not mention cheaper

  • @TheHueFilms "better for filming" that's debatable

  • how did you edit this thing. It takes for ever to compress the 7d files to edit them

  • this is great. reminds of india!

  • Hey, it's better if you hold the camera straight sometimes.

  • amazing,,,

  • This video is incredible. The elephant alley sot at around 2:17 is mindblowing. Fantastic work, and a fantastic testament as to this camera's capabilities.

  • that was pretty cool man! makes me wanna go back to india again!

  • what did u edit with? you are absolutely talented!

  • heyy.. they have squirrels in India?

  • very very very nice.!!!!!!

  • what song it this?

  • Some great shots in there. Nice grading too. The 7D is incredible. Did you just use a 17-50mm? There were a couple shots that looked like tilt shift shots...

  • hey did u use any monopod or tripod or anything ???? or just by hand ?

  • Like scenes from a major production! Thank you for an amazing and decision making video! 7D all the way

  • Can you tell me please the lens name did you used?

  • @Monsemvula I used a Tamron f.28 17-50 lens.

  • 24p or 25p?

  • @Mamarecs 24p, or more precisely, 23.97

  • @amgeoffrey12 Thanks!!

  • @amgeoffrey12 the film look

  • @amgeoffrey12 WOW THAT IMPRESSIVE THAT YOU KNOW THAT! hardly any one does!

  • @amgeoffrey12 or more precisely 23,976 :)

  • mmmmm the DOF is excellent, but doesn't the CMOS (?) processor in digital cameras like this cause the footage to slightly vibrate, if not shake? don't u truly need a steadicam/vest to fix this

  • Nice video! Did you edit it on a computer at India or did you bring a laptop with you over there to edit?

  • Thanks! I had my laptop with me to edit the footage. Man, I really need to start working on part two eh?

  • Haha yeah it's been a while since part one came out.

How is editing video on a laptop? Does the HD footage cause the editing process to take a long time? I'm asking because i'm getting a 7D next month and will probably edit on a laptop.

  • It was definitely tedious- a 5 second shot with colour grading would take about 4-6 minutes to render. (I'm using a Macbook Pro 2.1 ghz with 4 gigs of ram).

  • ahh i see. yeah that is a really long time, but probably worth the wait since the footage is crystal clear.

  • @amgeoffrey12

one more question, how is the macbook pro when it comes to the editing process? does it lag a lot when editing or is it smooth? im planning on getting a macbook pro and wondering if it does a good job with video editing on final cut pro. thanks.

  • what form you export for film super width scream ?

  • good job, especially the great choice of the music!

  • Great job! I love it!

  • Reminds me of the trip I had in India last year. Good job!

  • I love this piece you made. It does remind me of slumdog millionaire also. what lenses did you use?

  • Thanks! Yeah, I was definitely trying to go for the Slumdog Millionaire look.

I brought one lens and one lens only to India- the Tamron 17-55 f.2.8. It's been around the world with me!

  • great video

    giant work

  • Wonderful work

  • Amazing job....great editing. I love this camera!

  • wow i just found out about this camera today. looks like its working wonders!

this really reminds me of slumdog millionaire. great job!

  • If you haven't bought this camera yet, you should do some research about the recently announced Canon 550D. It has the same video capabilities and is 1000 dollars cheaper.

  • @Worldview87 its not as good as the 7d, you have overlooked some of the specs....

  • you are not right concerning the video capabilities

  • simply amazing, great job.
