i remembered this when this first happened because i was 12 and we had to watch the story and different articles in class referring to this. so i googled the story and put her name into the search engine on here. i was hoping that the boy wouldve got charged with something. even the uncle shouldve got more time; it was his fault. if the gun was never there, this wouldve never happend. i also believe he intended to kill her and he knew exactly what he was doing. the system is so f'd up. From my point of view, he intended to kill her. I also personally knew his father from school and he was never friendly to me. Latest info on Dedrick Sr.: said to have died from an overdose. Nothing on Jr. To this day, I still mourn for Kayla and will never forgive Dedrick for what he did to her. Kayla Rolland deserved real justice.
