bollywood is hindi cimena, so it makes scene for him to be speaking in hindi. I wouldn't ask an hollywood actor to speak to me in japanese, just because it's easier for me. If you don't speak hindi then that's to bad, get subtitles, don't expect foreigners to speak your language, it's arrogant and rude!

Like I said, I'm not Indian but I understand Hindi. This interview is for an Indian channel..if it was meant for non-Indians the interviewer would have acknowledged that and spoke in English himself. I was merely commenting on how Indian actors try to avoid speaking their language...it was rude of him to continue responding in English like that.

but if you watch films/soaps of bollywood they ALWAYS speak in hindi and every 30 seconds speak in english too! maybe he wants to break into the european/american market as i suppose by talking in english more he can get rid of his "accent" - however i think he sounds great as he is! i'm more than happy to watch him and read sub-titles! as far as him being rude? in england we only speak english yet any country anywhere in the world they speak their tongue AND english - i'm impressed!
