@bna0cb its the blow off valve in his turbo kit. he probably has a custom bov cuz i dont think the stock ones sound that nice. anyway, blow off valves release the pressure that the turbo has built up when you take your foot off the gas. if the pressure isnt released, the pressure could go back to the turbine and slow it down, causing turbo-lag, or potentially damage it. that whoooosh sound u hear is the air being released

I plan on gettng a new car, im debating between 2010 evo or genesis coupe both are turbo charged. How much hp on this one?

@Ferrari360Spyder 210 hp if its stock. personally, id go with the genesis cuz i just think its an amazing car overall. u can get the basic 2.0 turbo v4 for about 24k. or for 26-27k, you can upgrade to a 3.8 v6. again, just my opinion, but the genesis is a simply amazing machine. if its possible for you, you could wait for the 2013 model (probably releasing sometime next year) thats confirmed to have refreshed looks and a bunch more power for both powertrains.

See the thing is i got a Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged the car is great luv it its fast pushing 245-250 hp on a gm stage 2 kit so i want something faster. I dont want to mod my Cobalt has to many miles and i want something good for the snow season i live in Chicago and its snows like a mofo.

That sweet sound is the Blow Off Valve. Im not sure which kind he has but it has a whistle to it. If you want the whistle then u should get a NEW greddy type s or an ebay knock off greddy type s. I think they are called NGR blow off valve.

Sorry everyone, I havent been checking comments for a long time. The car is lowered on BC Racing coilovers with 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rears, the rear rubs very very slightly on hard bumps. Yes this is the Greddy TiC, it was perfect sounding and awesome gains with a full catless downpipe...

@Edwin7700 I've heard of some clamps you or rubber stoppers or something like that. Which you can put in your suspension that should supposedly soak up some of the shock. Even on say coilovers/stock suspension. To help prevent rubbing. Or atleast a friend of mine in class told me about this. Says they cost around 10$ for a pair. Something to look into atleast man. If you want it to stop rubbing.
