nah no more to it..a screenplay floating around here somewhere...it was just a test to see if I could make a movie with the camera and equipment I had...the equipment was fine my skill was not I took some cinema classes after this...maybe I'll shoot the whole thing...thanks for the comment and looking
Great film but in 4:54 was the Desert Eagle supposed to be high off its marks as a kind of movie "weird effect/scene theme" (by a lack of a better phrase)? It's just bugging me.
No it was a mistake. The actor was startled by the blood hit and for some reason aimed up...Aaaargh. We could not reset the blood hit and still get the other shots. I hoped it would not look to bad in the footage. It did. It bugs me too but alot of this does. I need to shoot another short to see if I've learned anything.
I'm sure you'll do good - don't give up. I'm trying to make short films myself. However my strength lies much more in the artistic/script/director side and much less in the technical/cinematographer side. I have good short scripts but I am not technically skilled enough yet.
Technical is the easy part. If you have the vision then just hit up the local film school junior college whatever and build a crew. Basic lighting will get you by.I have filmed some shorts as the cinematographer on hidef and 16mm and the lighting worked out. The rules for basic lighting are simple once you get them you can light any shot.
Thanks man - good to know - my only problem is I am a full time astorphysics major. I still have not decided which path I am going to sacrifice fo the other if you know what I mean. But I love making films man. In an ideal world I would do both - but realistically its not gonna happen - or I'm gonna end up being half ass in both.
i was in civil engineering but i dropped out to try and make tv and films dude so im in school for that right now, i think it was a good change man i really love what i do, i reccommend it. Good film too!!! great acting
Good luck and with YOUTUBE its a lot easier now to get noticed. I made this a long time ago. I'm planning new shoots now with my new skills...stay tuned.
Your vid is very original. Of course there's that three endings thing I've enjoyed a lot, but moreover the camera handling (1:05 for isntance) looks very pro! Plus you've chosen a nice landscape, great job!
Yeah Run Lola Run was a great movie though. I think at the time I was playing with the idea of making the DVD interactive where you can choose different story-lines. Again this was a test of filmmaking skills...I enrolled in film-school after this. Thanks for looking though.
Very very good, is this in a full movie? If so let me know, I'll buy it, so I can see it all, its worth it, if its not too expensive, ya know. Hit me back yo
Thanks but nah this was just a scene from the script that is now under a stack of scripts. But thank you for the comment. I did go to film school and now I know I can do much better I just need to get back on the path.

You needn't go to film school. You were already good.

Funny I thought I did a poor job. In fact is was after this fiasco that I decided I should go to film school to learn WTF I am doing. Thanks though.
